View 5 RepliesWhen I change the email server on the adavanced options I got an error that says something like: error connecting with the server. And the change I did is not saved. I need to do this because my email is not been hosted with my domain.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8330 through verizon. for the last two days i have been receiving all of my emails constantly every hour. i have over 400 "new" emails in my inbox, most of which i have already received and have been receiving for the past two days. they are all coming in at the same time and have flooded my inbox and are slowing down my phone. i went to verizon yesterday and they re-freshed my connection with gmail but it didn't do anything to help.

Each time is says that an email with instructions to reset my password has been sent, but the emails are not coming through to my email account (not inbox, junk, spam...anything). I'm effectively locked out until I can reset my password.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to use my blackberry as audio device when riding my bike. However i noticed that it just stops playing music when there is a new notification, once thats has been cleared, it just resumes playing. This is highly unusable 'cause the torch is somewhere in my jacket.
I saw that this was a common problem and i find it very unlicky that cracking my blackberry (which i bought for 800$) is the only solution to make it work like a 20$ mp3 player.
I suddenly am not receiving hotmail and gmail email on my Torch. Have I accidentally turned off something? Has BB upgrading altered something?

The reboot bar reaches as far as about where the letter 'e' is in the word 'Blackberry' in the middle of the reboot screen. Then the red LED flashed and the Torch reboots again.
To stop the rebooting I had to pull out the battery, but once I put this in the reboots continue.
My phone keeps on picking up old emails. Even if I delete them on my phone the next day I will have 26 new emails which are actually quite old. This happens every day,sometimes a few times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I got an update on my international version S6 gold platinum. It was about 70mb in size. After updating I didn't really notice anything different until when my phone gave me a notification or a reminder to optimise the apps I'm not using.
It took me to
Smart manager > battery > optimization
And there it was, a "Doze" like feature which puts apps to sleep if you want them to. After a certain period of time if left unused.

I've noticed an improvement in battery life ever since. I put all the apps on optimization which I don't use much often.
I have the S6 edge and I recently did an update and ever since, i've gotten this notification that i need optimize the apps.

I don't want this notification, ever. Normally, the way to get rid of unwanted push notifications on Android is to long tap the notification which brings up the App Info, and then you untick "Show notifications". However, I cannot do that this time, as the "Show notifications" tickbox is ticked, but greyed out, so I cannot untick it.
How else can I get rid of this annoying, intrusive notification?
My blackberry is receiving the email of today and also the email of 2 months' ago (marked unread) . For example, it received new email of July 30 and automically load the old email of May 30 again to the blackberry. The loading of old mail happens everyday. The problem happens since my office PC was recovered the outlook data.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.
I am receiving incoming email on my iphone but am not able to send out messages. This is a new iphone, and I just attempted to link my AOL email to it.

I have 3 email accounts that I synchronise with the email app. I use this app to have all my accounts in the same place, including my gmail account. The issue is that when I send an email, a copy of it is stored in the imap sent email folder of the account. Gmail do not recommend this practice because it saves all sent email by itself, and there for, if the client also saves a copy of the email, there is two copies stored. That's my problem. When using email app, I find in my email account twice the mail sent in the conversation. (How) can I configure the email app not to store the sent messages in the imap server ? I am running ICS official realease from sony (PC Companion) since yesterday.

About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. Also my outlook at my computer is normal, receive all email only once, and did not get any duplication as my blackberry 9700 phones.

It looks to me that the email on Nokia devices (tried both E51 and E72) is no good and cannot be used. I've tried using the Nokia Messaging on the previous E51 which worked for a while but stopped working out of a sudden after some time. I got the new E72, same story. I select check email and it doesn't download anything like there is no new message in the mailbox, though there is. Read a lot of posts on the forum and it's not just my problem. Is there a reason for that? Is there a paid alternative? I mean the E72 is marketed as a business phone, but looks to me that doing business with it it's out of the question. The phone is really great, too bad email issues makes it almost impossible to use it.

I am getting an email via LinkedIn that someone has given me a recommendaion on my Blackberry every day. It appears to be sent to my yahoo email, but is not showing up in my yahoo inbox. It is only showing up on my Blackberry. I have contacted LinkedIn and they say it is not coming from them. I contacted Synnex, (the company apparently sending the email) and they said it is not coming from them. The fact that it is only showing up on my Blackberry indicates it is something on the BB servers.

And the email icon has disappeared.After reading other posts I have tried going into my email settings and it says "A new BlackBerry device has been detected. You must move your email accounts to recieve email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. Atleast on email account must be moved to set up email on this device."It then asks me to put my email adress password in, but when I do it says that it is invalid.Please help as I have no idea what to do!

I have had the confirmation that my phone is registered with the wireless network but it is still not working. I am on the O2 network.
While i travel outside my country of residence, i normally keep the "Data Services" OFF (during roaming), but Wi-Fi ON. While i am able to browse the web in this mode (assumiing i am connected to a Wi-Fi network), i am not able to receive emails. How do i solve this?I would like to continue receiving voice calls, but i want to use data only on Wi-Fi (and not thro the Service Provider's 2G/3G/EDGE/GPRS etc) networks.My friends who use other phones are able to do this, but i am not able to.
