When I change the email server on the adavanced options I got an error that says something like: error connecting with the server. And the change I did is not saved. I need to do this because my email is not been hosted with my domain.

Clicking on Options from home screen, does not show the menu item "advanced options". It used to be there nut now is gone. It "was" the last menu item in the option but now the last one is "Third Party Apps".
In order under Options the list is as follows:
1. Sounds and Ring Tones
2. Network Connections
3. Display
4. Typing and Input
5. Device
6. Call Management
7. Security
8. Accessibility
9. Third Party Applications
Where is ADVANCED OPTIONS?

I am trying to fix the "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server."
problem. I have found several sites which tell me to correct it I need to go to Options> Advanced Options>etc. However, I don't see Advanced Options under Options.
I recently got a Bold 9700 a few days ago, an unlocked factory version,I updated with the firmware v5.0.0.593 and for some reason i cant seem to locate the GPS in the Advanced options section to adjust the settings and cant seem to locate it anywhere.I use Vodafone Italia.What could the problem be?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI never get GPS lock anymore on any of my GPS apps,, google, BBmaps, and like 5 other location apps.I go to my Options, Advanced Options, GPS and the page cannot open..I also noticed another problem where my Picture viewer doesn't open up pictures anymore from the thumbnail preview list. i.e when I click on a thumbnail it doesnt open full screen. It just sits there.

My e-mails are not sychronising on my Bold 9700 & the 'reconcile e-mail' is greyed out. Blackberry Answers says that this is due to the advanced security feature in Outlook. But gives no detail on how to rectify it and I cannot find anything by searching the help in Outlook.

Also I cannot view my network and connections to see whether my data service is turned on. I am currently not receiving data on my device. This is alarming as I spent a small fortune to acquire this device today. Again I discovered to my horror the earpiece jack does not hold in the port of my device and unable to listen to music via handsfree. The options icon on the home screen does not open at all when I touch it.Instead it freezes. Same with the network and connections options under network connections.

While I can send/receive from either box, I just discovered that when I hit the Menu key in either box and scroll down to Options, and try to click on it, I get nothing. I seem to remember that I used to define several email preferences using this function.

I have tried resending IT policy from BES server 4.1.7 where BB device is setup for exchange 2003 email. Also tried siwtching off the device, taking out the battery for a minute, reinserting and turning it ON again. Still no luck with that Options what i am looking for.

I use Outlook on my laptop and want all my email aggregated there (I remove from server when I pull it there). I was under the impression that BB always left mail on the server and I cannot find a setting anywhere to make me beleive otherwise. Also, this is not mail that I have deleted on my handheld, it is still in BB inbox - just not popping into my desktop as it should if it were still on the server.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Torch a few days ago and set up my gmail account on the handset which has been working perfectly. I've had to change my password for gmail on my account. However, when attempting to access the email accounts set up my phone will not let me into the option. Everything else works fine except this. I need my emails for work but, as I can't change the gmail password on my phone or add/delete any form of email account it's a little frustrating, especially as I got this phone due to it being praised for how good emails are on Blackberry. Are they working on a fix for this? I can't even access the Blackberry Internet service even though I have registered my phone.
