I can't access my gmail or hotmail on my phone. I had to change the passwords on the computer today. I went in through settings on my phone and changed the passwords but it still says they are incorrect. How can I fix this?

i just got my E72, and the email thing is kinda bugging me. i set up my hotmail and gmail account and it's just not working, there's this little cross symble on the top right hand side. do i need to have internet servies on my sim card or do i use the wlan for the email to work?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI bought my E72 3 days ago and the first impression i got was disappointing.The first action you do when switching on E72 for the first time is to set up your email accounts. Remember, E72 is Nokia's top email phone!I chose hotmail. I enter my email account and then my password as requested.And the next screen i get is nothing but the previous one!!!The same happens with Yahoo accounts.I found a way to work around the crash and set up my account through the "other" tab available on the wizard.I am really disappointed that i have changed my beloved E71, to get an even more proffessional solution that in the end needs a total update to set up our emails.There must be a solution in the next software upgrade and must be installed for free in all Nokia's stores.

I have a gmail email as well as a hotmail email and it has just stopped syncing my hotmail emails even if I toggle sync and click sync now it will not work. Only way it will work is if I remove the account and add it again. Then it will work one time.. I've tried the troubleshooting from Google with no avail.

On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.

have had my x10 fro 3 days. love most everything...except that most of my hotmail access is limited. what happened? no folders or contacts available. tried tech support, but they were of no help. said i needed to use gmail instead. can't change everything over at this late date.have archived stuff in hotmail going back years. did i load hotmail to the x10 incorrectly?

When I'm on cellular data, I will sometimes get in, but most of the time I get a message "username/password incorrect." I have verified they are not incorrect. This has been a problem for the last year! I did notice under the Incoming Settings, the IMAP Path Prefix is blank. Should something be there? I do have IMAP enabled under my gmail settings. Bought my first nokia phone for 9 days and already has several problems. Starting with what is most urgent. Already after 3-4 days disappeared suddenly able to receive mail from my hotmail account, but luckily came back later in the day! So on Friday I got an email from nokia with the text below. I have accordingly made the following (but without result).First I tried to follow the recipe that is in the mail as described below. I first went into hotmail via my computer and changed the password. Then I went into settings on the phone and changed the password there without success.Then I tried to go into the settings in the phone and reset phone to factory mode 3-4 times then use the built-in wizard to configure my hotmail account and wait for the result without success.
I receive e-mails that are written below in Norwegian every day. When I go into the e-mail on mobile phone brings up the yellow / green circle in the corner which I interpret as if everything is ok with connecting to hotmail. But that is not receiving e-mail. Anybody can help me? Preferably by using the internal e-mail program.

I recently bought the Vivaz U5 and I'm loving it. The only problem I'm facing is with the IM Application installed within the device. I've tried so many solutions found online and on this forum as well but nothing worked for me. I would really like to use the application to access my Hotmail & Yahoo! View 1 Replies View RelatedShortly after I got my iPhone 4S, I added my gmail account to the mail app (not the gmail app),so that I could read my email on my phone, and specifically not using the Gmail app, but using the email app, and adding the Gmail account as an Exchange Server so that my Google Contacts would sync to the device. It worked for weeks. Now, suddenly, it says wrong password whenever I try to check my email. I have removed it and added it back. I did not change anything on my email account configuration that would cause this.
Since it happened, though, I have removed the account and re-added it. It seems that it would stop me from adding the account if I were using the wrong password, but it lets me add the account with no problem, and only gives the wrong password message after that, when it tries to begin downloading emails.
I have typed in the password enough times today to make sure that I am typing it in correctly. I have been able to log into my gmail account via the web successfully (proving that I do know my own password). I even downloaded and installed the gmail app and was able to use it to get to my email. But that leaves my phone with zero contacts, because I keep all my contacts in Google Contacts, and the Gmail app doesn't seem to add any contacts to the contacts list on the phone. I need it to work the way it was set up & working before today. I don't know if Apple changed something, if Google changed something, or what. I would think that there would be others using this functionality who may be similarly stuck.
So my question is: How can I access my Gmail account from my iphone and have my google contacts brought into the phone's contact list, and constantly synchronized with Google contacts, like I had going before today? With the addition of iCloud, it gets really confusing really quick. The simple solution that I was using was so nice. I will be sad if it is gone for good...

When I access Gmail using the preinstalled app key it only gives me limited functions. The screen only shows my inbox and the messages in it so I can only reply or forward sent messages. I cannot start a new message or access any other functions that are available to me if I access Gmail through the browser key.Has anyone else had this problem?

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)
