I just purchased an 8130 from nTelos today and I am using it on their pre-paid service plan. While trying to set up my gmail account on the phone, it keeps saying that my username and/or password is incorrect, even though I have thoroughly checked for accuracy multiple times

I do not have a work e-mail account, and from what I've seen in order to get facebook or any other applications, I am going to need my e-mail to connect to the phone?

I see a new text msg in BBM and usually scroll to it and click the rollerball to open. Doesn't work anymore. I even tried the menu key and clicking Open Chat. Doesn't work either.

Phone is very slow/flaky sometimes, sometimes I don't get text messages that people tell me about later, if it's busy thinking it won't ring when somebody calls, and then the caller ID doesn't always work. (That especially happens when I've just disconnected from the computer.)
I have plenty of free memory and pull the battery about once a day. Last week I reset, reprogrammed, and reinstalled the OS. But I'm kinda suspicious because I didn't lose my preferences/options for most of the programs that I reinstalled, and that makes me wonder if it wasn't thorough enough.
had this phone since october, no problems. but today i went to my messages and my trackball wont scroll up. it does move down,left and right though. i've done battery pulls, removed the ball and put back in, everything. nothing works.. is it covered under warranty? i bought it october 2009..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an 8130 Pearl with Bell Mobility.I sync using google sync to google calendar.I have a Mac at home and don't use desktop manager or any other software to manage my BB.I do it all right on the handheld. I recently started having major issues with duplicate entries.Despite trying to get help with the duplicate entries, nothing worked and I just want to wipe the Calendar clean and start again. I do have FB loaded on the phone but the cical and the cmime are both set to my primary gmail account.
Can someone please tell me how to clear the calendar since I don't have desktop manager?Or perhaps a solution that will work with my Mac?

When I make or receive a call, I don't hear the other party and the don't hear me. Before posting, I have searched and exhausted every potential fix for this problem I could find on this forum. Can anybody make any techincal suggestions?

i tried searching the forum and the closest similar issue I could find was one on a Storm that was stuck in headset mode. I also tried the cut off qtip cleaning method in the headset port with no luck.I haven't had the chance to try through the factory headphones (lost it) or a bluetooth setup but so far all seems that it would work. When using normal headphones (no mic) I can hear my side of a phone call just fine.

I previously did not have an email address added to the BB email client. I was running gmail through the specific gmail app, and getting only SMS in my Messages. I was not seeing any FB notification icons via the FB app (latest version).However, I was unable to upload pics to FB via the FB app, nor could I submit them as attachments via the gmail app (attachments not supported). It was suggested to use the BB email client with my gmail address, so that I could add the photos as attachments.
I set up the email using the "setup wizard," however, I am now getting emails to both the Messages and the gmail client, as well as seeing FB notification icons (which didn't happen, previously). This situation is more annoying to me than just not being able to upload pics, and I'd like to just remove my gmail from the BB email client. I cannot figure out how to do this. All the info I'm finding addresses the case where you have something like an @att.com or something, where you can do it from the web-side. I want to remove it from the phone side. Little n00b help, please?

I have searched everywhere on how to access the Help Me! screen but haven't had any luck..Does anyne know how to access the Help Me! screen on the Pearl 9105? Or is there another way to change the UMA settings? Also, if I am unable to access the Help Me! screen, when Orange release an OS for the 9105 would there be any issue's installing it on my phone? would I be right in thinking it would have the UMA settings and will work?

Battery Pull did not fix issue. No BT device. So after a call (incoming or outgoing) has ended, the next time I flip open the phone I see this error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException". I click OK and that's that. The phone does not log the number of the caller or callee and the "messages" and "SMS and MMS" icons do not respond to being clicked on or the enter button and thus keeps me from accessing my messages/texts. I can still text if I go through contacts, and I do still receive them. I only can't access them. Using the desktop manager software I check for updates tho the device is up to date and has been since I received it a few months back.

When I'm on cellular data, I will sometimes get in, but most of the time I get a message "username/password incorrect." I have verified they are not incorrect. This has been a problem for the last year! I did notice under the Incoming Settings, the IMAP Path Prefix is blank. Should something be there? I do have IMAP enabled under my gmail settings.
