RIM :: BB Pearl 8130 Not Receiving Some Text Messages

I have a BB Pearl 8130 and I'm having problems. Phone is very slow/flaky sometimes, sometimes I don't get text messages that people tell me about later, if it's busy thinking it won't ring when somebody calls, and then the caller ID doesn't always work. (That especially happens when I've just disconnected from the computer.)
I have plenty of free memory and pull the battery about once a day. Last week I reset, reprogrammed, and reinstalled the OS. But I'm kinda suspicious because I didn't lose my preferences/options for most of the programs that I reinstalled, and that makes me wonder if it wasn't thorough enough.

Is there any way possible to update the os to OS 5? I've seen it done on the older blackberry curve.

I got this phone yesturday, and when I did the set up, when it got to the e-mail part the only option I got was "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise server" or "I want to skip e-mail setup"
I do not have a work e-mail account, and from what I've seen in order to get facebook or any other applications, I am going to need my e-mail to connect to the phone?

I just purchased an 8130 from nTelos today and I am using it on their pre-paid service plan. While trying to set up my gmail account on the phone, it keeps saying that my username and/or password is incorrect, even though I have thoroughly checked for accuracy multiple times

I have a Pearl 8130 and its been behaving well. However, for some reason yesterday I am now not able to open chats conversations as I always have. I see a new text msg in BBM and usually scroll to it and click the rollerball to open. Doesn't work anymore. I even tried the menu key and clicking Open Chat. Doesn't work either.

had this phone since october, no problems. but today i went to my messages and my trackball wont scroll up. it does move down,left and right though. i've done battery pulls, removed the ball and put back in, everything. nothing works.. is it covered under warranty? i bought it october 2009..

I have an 8130 Pearl with Bell Mobility.I sync using google sync to google calendar.I have a Mac at home and don't use desktop manager or any other software to manage my BB.I do it all right on the handheld. I recently started having major issues with duplicate entries.Despite trying to get help with the duplicate entries, nothing worked and I just want to wipe the Calendar clean and start again. I do have FB loaded on the phone but the cical and the cmime are both set to my primary gmail account.
Can someone please tell me how to clear the calendar since I don't have desktop manager?Or perhaps a solution that will work with my Mac?

I have a Pearl 8130.Is it possible to transfer some of my apps from the phone's internal memory to the media card? If so, will those apps still show up on my screen like normal?

When I make or receive a call, I don't hear the other party and the don't hear me. Before posting, I have searched and exhausted every potential fix for this problem I could find on this forum. Can anybody make any techincal suggestions?
all buttons work properly
screen functions normally
ringer/text message/email sounds still working properly
volume set to max
replaced ear speaker with one from a known working pearl 8130
profile set full loud
attempted battery pull
media player does not make any sound through phone anymore but does through headphones
cdma v4.5.0.77
i tried searching the forum and the closest similar issue I could find was one on a Storm that was stuck in headset mode. I also tried the cut off qtip cleaning method in the headset port with no luck.I haven't had the chance to try through the factory headphones (lost it) or a bluetooth setup but so far all seems that it would work. When using normal headphones (no mic) I can hear my side of a phone call just fine.

hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

My phone died after a weekend away from home. When I charged it back up all the texts had been deleted but one. I then noticed that I could no longer get text messages. I tested it out with a friend and I can still send texts out, I just can't recieve them. I tried taking the battery out for a while.

I have a c3-01 and it will not receive any text message you send it. I have checked the message center number and all the settings and it all seems fine. I have also tried to do a full factory reset but it wont complete.

My wife's HTC One doesn't seem to be sending text messages to her friend's iPhone 5. Both phones are with AT&T and I can confirm the friend has tried imessage on and off to no avail. My wife can text other iPhone's fine, but this particular one won't receive them.

So I bought my S5 a few months ago, from T-Mobile. Recently, I unlocked the phone and switched over to AT&T. Now I've noticed that I'm not receiving all of my text messages. I can't figure out any real pattern, I just know that I'm not getting all of the texts people are sending me, but most of them are going through. for some reason my Hero isn't receiving text messages. I have updated the PRL, Profile, and checked for firmware updates.. no luck. Do you think it possibly needs to be reprogramed? This is the second odd thing that has happened with my phone. First was it resetting itself back to the theme, and layout I had a week prior. I woke up and everything was changed back like someone did it.

I have an iphone 4s with th iOS 5.1.1 and, from a moment to another, I stoped receiving text messages! I send mine and my friends receive them, but I am not receiving theirs. I know it is not from the operator I am using (vodafone), because I just bought the iphone 4s some days ago and, until there, I was receiving messages perfectly.

I have an 8100 series T-Mobile Blackberry. It went swimming a couple of months ago, but after drying the phone out in a bag of rice for 2 days, it started working again. After that, I began having intermittent problems with the backlight...sometimes it would grow very dim to the point that it would be difficult to read the screen, other times it wouldn't work at all even though the phone was powered up. Eventually it stopped working completely and I got a new 8520 from T-Mobile which works great.However, I desperately need to retrieve some old text messages that are stored on the 8100. They are going to be used in a legal case (if I can get to them) and I need to get them quickly if possible. Is there a way to do this?

I have 50 or so saved text messages on my phone that I suddenly need to get printed out to give to a conflict resolution specialist in 14 hours- who knew this would happen?I can't seem to find a way to do this other than to individually send them to my email- one at a time.There's no way I have the time or the sanity to do it this way and I'm thinking that there MUST be a faster, easier way to do this.Any suggestions?

what happens with text/sms messages when your blackberry is stolen but you keep the same number.So, for example, my blackberry was stolen last week and I am due to receive a new one this week that will have the same phone number. If people have texted/sms'd me on that number during the week I had no phone, will I receive the texts messages? I imagine not since it will be a different Sim Card.

i recently moved to china and unlocked my at&t issued blackberry torch for use here on china unicom. i have a funny issue where some people i can text back and forth with, no problem. but with other people, i can only receive their text messages and they do not receive the messages that i send to them.

I am having troubles with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925W8 running Android 5.1.1. Ever since I upgraded to 5.1.1 I have sometimes been unable to receive text messages. This never used to happen with the older version of software I ran when I first got my device, and it is becoming rather annoying.
At random times I cannot receive text messages, and I have found the only way to 'spur' my device to receive messages would be to sending one. But this can be rather tedious, because if I haven't received a text in a while I'm not sure if it's my phone acting up again (so I must send a random text to try and download the waiting texts) or I just genuinely have not received a text.

Since the Lollipop update (I know, I know...) my group text messages haven't been downloading. Sometimes I'll see the MMS trying to download but it just times out and I never see it.
But then tonight I found out that I wasn't receiving any text messages from my roommates. The individually sent texts would come through but not the group ones.
Verizon ended up having me do a hard reset and it still didn't work.
The kicker though, my roommates turned off the iMessage/turn to regular SMS on their iPhones and app future text messages started coming through.
But I wasn't getting text messages from others with Androids too. It seems to be only on group messages though.
