BB Torch :: Email Just Suddenly Failed?
Aug 1, 2011Not sure if the debt ceiling crisis is somehow linked to my Torch, but suddenly no incoming or outgoing email. Texting, phone and other things seem to work fine.

View 1 RepliesAfter a short time on an Android device (which I quickly got rid of) I am now back on a BlackBerry. I used to have a Bold, now I have a Torch.Now the problem is the following: on the Bold I had one BES email (I am the IT Manager of my company) and three BIS accounts (private mails).I moved the BES account on the Torch, no problem, but the three BIS accounts do not move for some reason.
I go to Setup=>Email accounts and the device reports correctly that "A new BlackBerry device has been detected. you mustmove email account(s) to resume email delivery to your BlackBerry device. Email delivery to your old device has been stopped."Following the list of three email accounts I want on the Torch.
I click "Move" and for any single email I have a screen that says "Device change successful. Validate your email account"I type email password for each account, click "continue", receive the message "Your password has been successfully validated.", click OK and exit setup and nothing happens.I still have the BES account but there is no trace of the three BIS accounts.I go back to Setup and the procedure starts again from the beginning.I am on Vodafone UK and the three email accounts are on Apple MobileMe (@me.com)
I got a message that my primary email address had to have a new password and validation. I updated my password with gmail, and now BB won't accept it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9810. I had my email account set up on it and I've never had any problems. Today, I realised I hadn't been receiving emails. So I checked the settings in setup and couldn't find anything amiss. I've tried the usual stuff - sending service books, host routing table registration, numerous battery pulls and restarts, and deleting/re-adding my email account. None of it has worked.
The only thing that happens when I am trying to activate the email address is it says "contacting server....retrying..." and doesn't do anything else.
Is there something I can do? It's driving me mad not being able to sort it out
I suddenly am not receiving hotmail and gmail email on my Torch. Have I accidentally turned off something? Has BB upgrading altered something?

My email did for the first month with O2, but suddenly my ability to get emails has stopped. when I try to set up the email i get an errori that my device is not registered with Blackberry. Even when I go through the steps to register it, including getting a confirmation from Blackberry that I have registered , it still does not work. When i attempt to set up email again I get the same response to register my Blackberry.

I've had my BB Torch for about a year and it's worked fine with my email.Yesterday out of the blue it stopped receiving my gmail messages (my other email is working fine). But I did get a message "from" Blackberry saying "Action required, update settings for ****@gmail.com to TURN ON THE IMAP SETTING FOR ALL MAIL IN YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT"My IMAP IS enabled. I tried disabling it, then re-enabling; I've tried removing my gmail account from my BB and recreating it; I've repeatedly "activated" my gmail account on my BB (each time I DO get a confirmation that my account has been activated), I've tried "wiping" my BB and starting over; I've "re-registered" the device on the network, I've deleted my email accounts in BB, removed the battery, reentered and "revalidated" my accounts. Nothing seems to workEach time I go back into "settings", my gmail shows as "invalid account. Please Validate"...I re-renter my passcode, get the acknowledgment that "your password has been successfully validated", immediately followed, again, by the "Action required" message from blackberry. I have repeated the process of setting up my gmail in my BB about 15 times...each time getting the validation confirmation, sometimes getting a message telling me that my account is set up correctly and that I should begin receiving email in about 20 minutes.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have been using Torch 9860 since about a month, am facing a problem since last 20 days. the problem is the sound suddenly goes off. everything else is functional , its just that i cant hear ring tones , cant hear the person talking on other side, if dialed. Every thing goes fine when i open the backcase, take the battery out and restart. This keeps occurring more than 5 times a day.

If i open a new link, it opens second tab but complains that low memory. try closing some tabs. I do not understand this behaviour.Also, today I was listening songs on media player and wanted to change to another song andthe player complained that the player is busy!I think the RAM of the device is either not correct or some virus is executing in background.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed this the other day that my Yahoo app randomly stopped receiving notifications. I never changed anything email or sync related for a long time so it makes this harder to solve. I dont even remember having sync on ever for my Yahoo emails (maybe this sounds stupid and it was on the whole time but I cant remember). Anyway I tried deleting the accounts and re-adding, using the default email app and adding the same accounts, clearing app date/caches, re-installing Yahoo app, clearing cache partition, and turning all the syncs on/off and playing with those settings. What I did notice was a suspicious log in a few days ago from out of state which I am not sure is part of this or not, but it was on android supposedly, I changed my PW just to be sure.

I've had my Blackberry Bold through T-Mobile for over a year and never had problems with the e-mail service. It is set up with my Yahoo account and I have always been able to send and receive email from my phone just fine. Just in the last 24 hours, though, my service stopped working. I cannot send any emails, it errors with that blasted red X, and I cannot receive any new emails even though my email account in itself works -- I send emails from my work account to my Yahoo account on the computer, and I can see the emails are coming in when I check my email on the computer but nothing is registering on my phone.
I've Googled my way through various troubleshooting tips, I've shut the device off and back on, I've removed the battery and SIM card and put it back again, I've tried to go to Manage Internet Email but it says it cannot connect. I've gone to Blackberry Internet Service on the T-Mobile website and it does not show that I have a e-mail account configured, even though I've been using email on my phone the entire time. I try to set up my email there on the website and it says, lo and behold, that that email is already registered on my device! There is nothing wrong with my network connection on the phone, I have full 3G signal or EDGE signal (depending on what part of the room I'm in here at work). I have not changed any settings on my phone at all and my email just stopped working out of nowhere.
All of a sudden one of my email IN box folders has dissapeared. All the email accounts are OK but one of them just says No Messages and the In Box folder has vanished. I can recieve messages and read them off the Messages icon but they wont appear in the In Box for the account.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSuddenly my phone has stopped ringing, it doesnt ring for anything at all. i checked everything in the profile and everything is in place. the profile is normal, volume is full, holster setting is set to always...but even the "try it" option doesnt make it ring........but if i play the ringtones individually or any media file, it plays....that means my speakers are all fine....and at the same time my DM stops working as soon as i connect my phone.

Problems started yesterday. Touch screen started working eratically, then the keyboard stopped responding.
I've done the following with no success:
1) pulled battery and rebooted (multiple times)
2) ran backup from desktop, then reloaded the current OS (was already the latest version)
3) changed batteries
4) searched support communities for other ideas
Problem is I can't type my password into the phone and it's turned off phone service so I can't get calls. Touchpad works sporadically but only moves up and down, not side to side.
I've had my Torch 9800 for almost 2 years and suddenly the camera is not working.When clicking on the camera icon, it goes to the page but the screen stays black and after a minute or so and error message appears that says that the camera application failed to open. Please close all other applications and try again. I receive the same error message when attempting to use the video camera. I updated the software as directed by my wireless provider but that didn't solve the problem

Before then, those two accounts were set up on my E5 so she could have quick access to her emails. Since that day my own gmail and nokia email accounts have not been updating, including her two accounts. I keep being required to input my password for my gmail. Even when I input it, it still won't connect. I have changed my gmail password and attempted to connect, still nothing.

Why does my Yahoo email password all of a sudden not work on my iPhone anymore?

I sync my iPhone 5 with iTunes every day. In the course of charging. Now, I get an error message advising that mail accounts cannot by synced as the mail accounts are in use by the iPhone. This is new to me and is, frankly, more than an irritant if I have to turn mail accounts off.Â
What has caused this error message to suddenly appear? And how do I rectify it?Â
