View 1 RepliesI noticed this the other day that my Yahoo app randomly stopped receiving notifications. I never changed anything email or sync related for a long time so it makes this harder to solve. I dont even remember having sync on ever for my Yahoo emails (maybe this sounds stupid and it was on the whole time but I cant remember). Anyway I tried deleting the accounts and re-adding, using the default email app and adding the same accounts, clearing app date/caches, re-installing Yahoo app, clearing cache partition, and turning all the syncs on/off and playing with those settings. What I did notice was a suspicious log in a few days ago from out of state which I am not sure is part of this or not, but it was on android supposedly, I changed my PW just to be sure.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI certainly didn't change anything today - but after booting up as I usually do every morning, I am FINALLY getting email notification & my email is being pushed to my phone when it is sleeping !! This issue has been going on (for me) for over a month.

I can send email but cannot receive it.I have a blackberry 8330 curve and am with verizon with V4.5.0.I've been reading other posts on othere forums of people having the same issue but they didn't really help at all.I did the battery pull many many times.I just don't know what wrong with it. also my world app doesn't show any application installed. i can deal with that once i get my email to work..
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded the software on my BB and I have 3 e-mail accounts that I have been using with it. For some reason it randomly selected one as the default to use when sending out messages, etc. from any application. I have changed it to the e-mail I want (Options>Advanced Options>Default Services>) however this doesn't fix my problem. I even deleted the e-mail address from my blackberry and in my calendar it still shows a default that is not what I put in the options. The wrong e-mail is still set somewhere because when I go to use Viigo it tries to send it from the e-mail address I deleted!
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8330 on the Sprint network. About a day and a half ago I stopped receiving my emails on my phone. I can't send email either. SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Blackberry Bold through T-Mobile for over a year and never had problems with the e-mail service. It is set up with my Yahoo account and I have always been able to send and receive email from my phone just fine. Just in the last 24 hours, though, my service stopped working. I cannot send any emails, it errors with that blasted red X, and I cannot receive any new emails even though my email account in itself works -- I send emails from my work account to my Yahoo account on the computer, and I can see the emails are coming in when I check my email on the computer but nothing is registering on my phone.
I've Googled my way through various troubleshooting tips, I've shut the device off and back on, I've removed the battery and SIM card and put it back again, I've tried to go to Manage Internet Email but it says it cannot connect. I've gone to Blackberry Internet Service on the T-Mobile website and it does not show that I have a e-mail account configured, even though I've been using email on my phone the entire time. I try to set up my email there on the website and it says, lo and behold, that that email is already registered on my device! There is nothing wrong with my network connection on the phone, I have full 3G signal or EDGE signal (depending on what part of the room I'm in here at work). I have not changed any settings on my phone at all and my email just stopped working out of nowhere.
On the 24 of October, 2012, I helped my wife set up her yahoo and gmail email accounts on her new Nokia X-series phone. Before then, those two accounts were set up on my E5 so she could have quick access to her emails. Since that day my own gmail and nokia email accounts have not been updating, including her two accounts. I keep being required to input my password for my gmail. Even when I input it, it still won't connect. I have changed my gmail password and attempted to connect, still nothing.

I'm on a amtrak and won't be home until at least 10 am and it will be too late. My bbm works, my internet works even text but this damn email is acting up.If anyone knows how to fix this pls share the word, I'm in a jam.I have a sprint tour btw, I just spent 2 hrs typing this doc and can't even email it.

Over the last 2 or 3 days, I've stopped receiving notifications of new email when my phone is locked. I've been on the most recent OS for a while and have not changed any settings. Everything is switched on in notifications for the messages to flash up but they do not?
When I receive an email I still get the familiar bing, but no visual?

woke up monday morning and my bbm and emails have stopped sending and recieving i have a data plan active and wifi on and still nothing. thought i would leave it a couple of days and see if it started working again but still not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI factory reset the phone after i used odin to flash factory rom. Installed latest ATT update. Setup google account and again put the phone on wireless charger, after 10 mins of no activity send myself emails from different accounts from the PC and No email notifications at all with just Mobile Network only turned on. I tested this with wired charging and the result is the same.
Test condition:
1. Charge phone, wired or wireless, only turn on Mobile network, no wifi!!!
2. Leave the phone untouched and idle for 10+ mins
3. during this time no txt or phone calls otherwise it will reset the sleep flag
4. after 10+ mins of no activity send yourself emails from a desktop or another phone. You should in theory get notifications but I'm willing to be you will not.
Im trying to find how to change notifications for my yahoo, texts and other thing but i tried to go to profiles and i dont have an advance option and when i click on the menu button nothing happens its just takes me to the home screen. so im wondering to is there still a way i can change the notifications on my phone. i have a curve 8330 but im not sure what OS i have.

I called AT&T and was on the phone for like 2 hours and they were clueless. Has anyone had this same problem or know how to get it working without creating a new email.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Torch on Vodafone UK which I've been using for several months very happily. I had set up two email addresses - a hotmail.com account and an email account with my own domain name (name@namesurname.co.uk). Up until this morning they were working just fine.
This morning I noticed that a lot of emails were coming into Outlook on my PC but not coming to my handset. I sent test messages from my handset and they never arrived in Outlook. So I resent the service books, got the usual "set up successful" message, but still nothing. I did a hard reset, but no change.I logged in to Vodafone's BIS site and removed the mydomain email account, as in the past when I have had problems removing it and re-adding it seemed to fix it. However, now I can't put it back on! Even when I add the additional data via the website I get the following message:
An error occurred during email account validation. I tried the same process via the handset and get a similar error message:Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact namesurname.co.uk (i.e. my domain)
Now, I know that the password is correct as I am using the same one to log into my webmail and to get emails in Outlook. I have checked the email server in cPanel for my domain. So as far as I'm concerned all of the info is correct.
What else can I try? I've set up a forwarder for my domain mail to a newly created vodafone mail account in the meantime, but it's not ideal as this doesn't have the "delete on mailbox and handheld" option. Unfortunately I've tried calling Vodafone twice - the first person I spoke to said he would ring me back in under two hours, and that was five hours ago. The second person was far from helpful. Please help, this is very frustrating!
(Update: I have also changed the password for my email account to ensure that it is DEFINITELY the right one, and deleted almost all the messages from the inbox (there were some over 8MB which may have been causing the problem). I have also completely deleted my BIS account and started again from scratch. Still no joy.)
I recently sold my Nextel Blackberry Curve 8350i. It has been since disconnected and I have switched to another carrier. I have sold the phone but I don't know how to receive my e-mail accounts from my old Blackberry. Can anyone tell me how to delete them since it has already been disconnected from the network. View 9 Replies View RelatedI get a Star shaped thing in the notifier bar on the top. When I pull it down it says "Meet Local Singles" I hit clear but it keeps coming back every day. Is there a list of Apps that do this? My most recent app is QRDroid so I did delete that. The others (MANY others) are months old but update frequently so how would I know? I've heard about Droid Wall but I need apps to access internet for weather info, movie info, xfinity listings etc so I don't want an app that randomly blocks internet access for apps that legitimately need it. Could it be Call Blocker (Easy Filter) app?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using my Droid X problem free for about a month but this morning my phone completely stopped vibrating. It worked properly when my alarms went off around 7 AM but when I got to work around 8:30 there was no notification vibrations, no haptic feedback, and the phone didn't vibrate when I set it to vibrate mode. I didn't touch the phone at all between the time I woke up and the time I pulled it out at work (except to shut the alarms off) so I'm just very confused as to why all of a sudden the vibrate will not function. I have tried rebooting, battery pulls, and changed every vibration setting I could find but to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA friend gave me their old Blackberry but it was used for his work email and was set up with a password just to access the phone. He doesn't remember the password. I put a new sim card in, but is still asking for the password. We tried 4 different ones. On the 5th it warns you that your program will be deleted. We haven't tried the 5th password. It we do will it erase information in the sim card?
Is there a way to clear everything out of memory and reset the Blackberry to it original defalut settings.I tried pulling out the battery with the phone on, but that doesn't do any good.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI currently have the curve 8520.I was using my fully functional bb which is 100% in good condition and suddenly the trackpad stopped working. i could only use the blackberry button, the back button, the call and hang up buttons and the keyboard.Assuming it was just in need of a reboot, i rebooted it and suddenly none of my buttons worked (every single button including the keyboard and buttons above)suddenly, now my mobile network has been turned off and theres no way of turning it on because nothing works!

When I attempt to do so, either the call does not complete, (call was lost), or if it does go through, I get a very rapid busy signal. I have checked the carrier reception and it is strong. I have checked the WiFi...it is receiving a strong signal. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and have finally given up. I have taken the battery and sim card out twice, also, hoping to repair whatever it is that has gone wrong.

When I try to charge it by USB cable it looks like it charging, and when the red light goes off, the screen turns white and there is a battery with a lightning running trough it.
