Jul 7, 2015I noticed this the other day that my Yahoo app randomly stopped receiving notifications. I never changed anything email or sync related for a long time so it makes this harder to solve. I dont even remember having sync on ever for my Yahoo emails (maybe this sounds stupid and it was on the whole time but I cant remember). Anyway I tried deleting the accounts and re-adding, using the default email app and adding the same accounts, clearing app date/caches, re-installing Yahoo app, clearing cache partition, and turning all the syncs on/off and playing with those settings. What I did notice was a suspicious log in a few days ago from out of state which I am not sure is part of this or not, but it was on android supposedly, I changed my PW just to be sure.

May 17, 2011I get a Star shaped thing in the notifier bar on the top. When I pull it down it says "Meet Local Singles" I hit clear but it keeps coming back every day. Is there a list of Apps that do this? My most recent app is QRDroid so I did delete that. The others (MANY others) are months old but update frequently so how would I know? I've heard about Droid Wall but I need apps to access internet for weather info, movie info, xfinity listings etc so I don't want an app that randomly blocks internet access for apps that legitimately need it. Could it be Call Blocker (Easy Filter) app?

Jul 27, 2011I have been using my Droid X problem free for about a month but this morning my phone completely stopped vibrating. It worked properly when my alarms went off around 7 AM but when I got to work around 8:30 there was no notification vibrations, no haptic feedback, and the phone didn't vibrate when I set it to vibrate mode. I didn't touch the phone at all between the time I woke up and the time I pulled it out at work (except to shut the alarms off) so I'm just very confused as to why all of a sudden the vibrate will not function. I have tried rebooting, battery pulls, and changed every vibration setting I could find but to no avail.

Feb 7, 2011I was recently on a trip and went swimming with my phone. The covers were all closed and about 2 minutes in to my swim the the camera stopped working. The battery (which was fully charged) died within a couple hours after the camera stopped functioning. I tried plugging it into the charger and the charging screen came on for a minute and then dissapeared. It did not charge and since then the phone is dead. I currently have my phone in rice hoping that out any moisture that got in.

Jun 10, 2015Ok today my phone was sitting on my desk not being used at all. I hadn't used it in about 30 min before that and battery was at 75%. So i was sitting there and the screen turns on by itself I thought ok phone call or text. I try to unlock the screen I noticed there was no signal bars red x and screen would not unlock it was frozen then about 5 seconds the phone turns off.
Now it will not power on and I have tried 3 known good chargers but the led in the top flashes red. If I press power down button led stays solid red as long as I hold power button on when on charger. If I unplug from charger power button does nothing not even power + down or up volume. I even tried little yellow reset button next to sim card nothing. Is my 4 month old phone shot? The sony companion app on pc does not find phone either this blows.

I wonder if this is software related? I have already tested the touchscreen using YAMTT.

Feb 18, 2011Alright where can I start... 3,5 weeks ago my X10i gave an android.error and quit... didn't start again and I got the red light flashing. Called t-mobile and send my phone for repairing. Last tuesday I got my X10i back. "part replaced" was the message. It functioned again, acted a bit strange as usual but it functioned. Yesterday I went home from work and I put my X10i in my pocket. When I got home I took the phone out of my pocket and noticed it was turned off... nothing weird because almost everytime I put it in my pocket I have to enter my sim-code when I get it out............ or it is turned off.... But this time it wouldn't turn on.

Mar 11, 2011today my X10 black running on android 2.1 firmware suddenly dead. I was on a call and suddenly the touchscreen is not responding at all. I can not get it to silde to unlock or what so ever. I've tried take out the battery to turn it off and switch it back on. Now I own the black model of the xperia Z2 since 2 days I decided to try the waterproof ability and take a photo under the water. I took the phone with me under the water it's not more than 30 meter and not more than 6 min .a few hours later, I found out that some of the water got in because I can see some condensation on the camera lenses both front and back.
Another few hours later I found out that the screen starts to flicker then the screen dies. All other functionality such as the sound still works because I can hear the tone if someone call me or receive a sms but the display and touch is dead.

Xperia Z3 :: Randomly Stopped Working - Plugged In But Completely Dead
Feb 24, 2015When I went to sleep last night, my phone was working fine. It was on my bed and charging. When I woke up this morning, it was still plugged in but completely dead.
It won't turn on, it doesn't have the red light when charging, nothing. I tried a different charger, tried the force restart, even tried the little yellow button and still nothing.
The only thing I can imagine is that it severely overheated and blew the engine. Nothing else makes sense. Is there anything else I can do beyond replacing it?
