BlackBerry :: Suddenly Cannot See The Contents, Text Or HTML In Email?
Sep 13, 2011
I suddenly cannot see the contents, text or HTML, in any of my email. I am relatively new to Blackberry. I am using a Torch and I think that I may have accidently set something. I hate touch screens! Anyway, I see the sender name and subject, but no message in the body.
I'm a little underwhelmed with the Gmail application on the Atrix. After coming from an Iphone one of the glaring deficiencies with this mail app is that I cannot resize html email content. I don't see any other options for mail on this phone, am I stuck with this app for mail? Is it part of the MotoBlur suite? I like the MotoBlur messaging tools or not. I want to like it because it seems like a great idea but it also seems a bit too cumbursome and non-intuitive. I'll try it a bit longer to see if it grows on me or not.
I received an email from Hotmail today advising that on 31st of May; I wouldn't get a text notifying me of new emails arriving in my Hotmail inbox. Its a bit of a shame really although not an insurmountable problem. Webmail has its uses afterall..I was just wondering if VirginMedia are the only affected users or if this is any/all mobile users who also have a Hotmail account?I'd love Hotmail's inbox to be a bit more mobile friendly. Get shot of the graphics and make it as basic as possible! I'm sure that idea will never amount to anything though.I do have to wonder if this is the start of email notification by text being phased out. Perhaps an attempt to reduce the drain on resources?
As I say, is there a setting on the Nokia E72 where i can set my emails to be read by plain text instead of html? My company has several E72 Nokias & NONE can view emails due to a html bug in the Nokia E72.If I can change my emails to be viewed in html that might be better. I also get a sync error after emails have downloaded & all i can see if the subject of the email. All other phones on our network that are not Nokia have no problems viewing emails.
New HTC One M8. Some of my emails state this. I checked the same email on my MAC and it displays fine. So I'm guessing that it is a problem with the email app on the phone and not my provider. I tried to increase the mail size limit, but that didn't work. I don't see any settings for enabling HTML.
As stated in the title, besides "Empower", is there any other add-in's or suggestions to allow for a better HTML email experience on a Bold 9650?I can use Bolt or Opera to access the web email portal and get the full email via the browser, but that's a bit cumbersome and I'd rather just use the messaging folder instead. Thoughts or suggestions?
I have a nokia E5 and have just updated (through Nokia Suite beta) the email application from 3.16.0 to 3.21.0. Since then all of my messages which contain html code are displayed as is, without the phone parsing the code. What I mean is instead of normal writing I just get html code.
is there any email application that supports HTML contents as i am not able to view tables, graphs & reports in default email application of torch 9860.
Apologies if this has been asked before. When I get an HTML email with images, the images show up as attachments. I have "Enable HTML Email" turned on. I am running 5.0.0.330, I have no idea what version of BES we are on.
I recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
How can I retain the HTML format when sending email? In a similar way, I want my emails to go in HTML format from my iPhone. As of now, it goes as text type and I did not like the font. I wanted to go as Arial.
I upgraded my Tour (Verizon) last week to OS 5.0. Since the upgrade I have been unable to view HTML emails. The body of the email provides the text/link to the images along with a lot of text I do not understand. I don't even get the links to "get image" or "view image on a web page". I made sure the settings were correct (i.e. enable HTML email, download images automatically) and the issue persisted. Battery pull did not work, deleting and resending service books did not work. Through searches on this forum and others it appears that this is not an isolated problem. Is there a fix that I am not aware of? I am close to wiping the phone clean and going back to OS 4.7, but I like all other features that came with 5.0.
This used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I have two email accounts, 1 pop3 and 1 imap - this problem of not being able to see the email content applies to emails received through either account. Using a 5 line preview of the email, I can see the start of the content. If I reply or forward, I can see the previous email content. Is this an issue with oS 5.1.1?
I currently have the curve 8520.I was using my fully functional bb which is 100% in good condition and suddenly the trackpad stopped working. i could only use the blackberry button, the back button, the call and hang up buttons and the keyboard.Assuming it was just in need of a reboot, i rebooted it and suddenly none of my buttons worked (every single button including the keyboard and buttons above)suddenly, now my mobile network has been turned off and theres no way of turning it on because nothing works!
I have a Blackberry Curve 9330, with Verizon as a carrier. For the last couple of days, I have not been able to place any calls. When I attempt to do so, either the call does not complete, (call was lost), or if it does go through, I get a very rapid busy signal. I have checked the carrier reception and it is strong. I have checked the WiFi...it is receiving a strong signal. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and have finally given up. I have taken the battery and sim card out twice, also, hoping to repair whatever it is that has gone wrong.
I have recently had some problems with my BB 8900. My BB just suddenly shut down and when i tried to turn it back on it just didn't work. When I try to charge it by USB cable it looks like it charging, and when the red light goes off, the screen turns white and there is a battery with a lightning running trough it. I really do not know what to do. I tried to take out and put the battery back in, but I get the same response.
Somewhere on my iPhone there is a folder that can be accessed to recover an accidentally deleted email. I know it is there but cannot find it now. I know this is not a difficult question, but my brain is fried now that I need to recover it.
1. images are not automatically appearing (need to click get images) 2. the HTML emails are appearing too wide. I have to scroll to the right to see the other half of the email.
iPhone with iOS 5.0.1 is suddenly delaying all of my text messages. The top of the screen says "delaying" and the Send button is temporarily resolved by a red Cancel button.
The keyboard on my HTC Wildfire has suddenly stopped popping up when I tap on a text box. Have checked settings and it all looks ok. Removed battery and sim and then rebooted but still cant bring keyboard up
For no obvious reasons, a green icon pierced by a line (vaguely similar to the icon that appears against a draft text message) suddenly appears against certain old text messages, which (when opened) have been wiped out, leaving only the addressee. What is happening here and how can I stop it?
