Apologies if this has been asked before. When I get an HTML email with images, the images show up as attachments. I have "Enable HTML Email" turned on. I am running 5.0.0.330, I have no idea what version of BES we are on.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI moved to BlackBerry Bold 9700 about two weeks ago. Everything works great, except for one issue. Images in my HTML email messages don't download. I have tried all combinations of settings on automatically download images and confirm images download, in the Options > Email Settings menu. What happens is: When I hard reset the phone (take out the battery and reinsert it), and then do Get Images, images download. However, this continues only for some 3-4 hours, or say about 10-15 messages. After a point, Get Images doesn't download images. Even the arrows on the top right of the screen, that indicate an attempt to download, don't come. It almost seems like the phone has kept a limited space aside to download images in HTML messages, and this space is filled up and hence it stops downloading. The moment the battery is taken out and reinserted, Get Images works. But again for some time only.Tried taking Vodafone's help. They updated my Service Book, which according to them is the "standard solution" to Images downloading problem. But nothing happened. Which is expected, because they were possibly giving me a solution for images never downloading. In my case, they download for a bit, and then refuse to, till hard reset.Tried finding where any memory related settings could be there. Found a thing in Settings > Memory > Compression. Tried both Enabled and Disabled, it doesn't help.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust a couple of days ago, I received a BBM from my daughter, although my cell was turned off for the night. I thought maybe I'd not turned it off. Last night again, I turned it off (I always do every night) and was woken early because not only was my turned off phone receiving messages, it had also enabled my Drive Safely app and the phone was busy reading everything to me.I checked and the phone was off. I still had to push the red phone key to turn it on.I immediately did a battery pull and will hope for the best.Has anyone had this experience?

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy bold 9700 turned off and never on, pulled the battery out then plugged again then i got red flashing lights, anyway i tried the latest apploader.exe and blackberry desktop software and all what have been said that can fix error 507 failed to do the job and now i have nothing, all data are wiped and always error and reboot. i tried with and without battery and with unknown usb pin and with known usb pin i think i tried everything!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a new Bold 2 (9700), and I found out that the thing is showing all decimal points as "decimal commas". I'm in Mexico, not Spain, and we use the US decimal point system, that is using decimal POINTS and not COMMAS. How can I switch the BB to use commas? This wasn't a problem on BB OS 4.6 on the Bold 9000... in fact, this is the first time I see my BB using the goofy comma system.

So I'm guessing that it is a problem with the email app on the phone and not my provider. I tried to increase the mail size limit, but that didn't work. I don't see any settings for enabling HTML.

I have an app which means I can change the colours, but the thing I have set to this colour is texts and I definately don't have a new text. View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
I suddenly cannot see the contents, text or HTML, in any of my email. I am relatively new to Blackberry. I am using a Torch and I think that I may have accidently set something. I hate touch screens! Anyway, I see the sender name and subject, but no message in the body.

I upgraded my Tour (Verizon) last week to OS 5.0. Since the upgrade I have been unable to view HTML emails. The body of the email provides the text/link to the images along with a lot of text I do not understand. I don't even get the links to "get image" or "view image on a web page". I made sure the settings were correct (i.e. enable HTML email, download images automatically) and the issue persisted. Battery pull did not work, deleting and resending service books did not work. Through searches on this forum and others it appears that this is not an isolated problem.Is there a fix that I am not aware of? I am close to wiping the phone clean and going back to OS 4.7, but I like all other features that came with 5.0.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I'm a little underwhelmed with the Gmail application on the Atrix. After coming from an Iphone one of the glaring deficiencies with this mail app is that I cannot resize html email content. I don't see any other options for mail on this phone, am I stuck with this app for mail? Is it part of the MotoBlur suite? I like the MotoBlur messaging tools or not. I want to like it because it seems like a great idea but it also seems a bit too cumbursome and non-intuitive. I'll try it a bit longer to see if it grows on me or not.
