I have just purchased a new BB9700 and I am trying to set-up my BES account but the menu is missing in (options, advances options, activated entreprise doesn't exist).Do you know how to enable it ? Is it a firmware problem ?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a new Bold 2 (9700), and I found out that the thing is showing all decimal points as "decimal commas". I'm in Mexico, not Spain, and we use the US decimal point system, that is using decimal POINTS and not COMMAS. How can I switch the BB to use commas? This wasn't a problem on BB OS 4.6 on the Bold 9000... in fact, this is the first time I see my BB using the goofy comma system.

If i press the menu button nothing happens (no it's not locked) if I hold the menu button the "running app popup appears and i can open the running apps" if I press the back button i'll get a white screen..(today i upgrade my Doc. to go and since then i'm expiring the problems)
I tried Batt. pull and I went back to a older back-up but it is'nt working.

Some icons are ALWAYS listed under this "quick menu" whether they are closed or not, such as BB messenger, Browser etc. Is there any way I can add or remove icons in this quick menu?

Pressing the Alpha keys doesn't do anything. Only the numbers 0 through 9 are working.Is this an option? I can't seem to find where to turn this on.

It'll say I have a new text and I'll go in my inbox to open it but when I click, it won't let me read it. It'll let me open the ones before it, but not the unread one. Even if I click the the menu button then "open" it still doesn't work.
View 14 Replies View Relatedi've had this happen to my 8900, and thought there was something wrong with the phone, but after doing a official update from t-mobile on mt 9700 the same thing happens. whe doing a battery pull and the phone reboots. only on the main screen (the screen with all the apps and folders) the screen is completely blank or white and the only way i can see the folders or apps is by highlighting them. only happened after i updated it and only happens when doing a battery pull, once i reset the wall paper it will be fine until i do another battery pull. i already uninstalled and reinstalled my blackberry desktop and try to reload and that didn't fix it. anyone had this issue or know how to fix it.

It first started when i tried getting on blakberry app world, but it said APN not specified, my blackberry messenger also dissapeared, i tried turning it on and off then took the battery out, but nothing worked and i lost bb app world all together, and is now nowhere to be found. I was able to fix it when it happened before, by going on reset icons, but hasnt worked this time.

This is my first post and I hate to start with a problem but I'm at my witts end with this one. I've searched but couldnt find a similar post about the Bold 9700. For some reason, it does not show missed calls in the call log. I can only see them if I have a missed call at the time, but once I exit the missed call log, I cannot view it until I have another missed call. I do not want them to appear in the messages folder either and the BB9700 does not have an option to View Recent that the 9000 has in call log view.

If I am writing an SMS and click "add smiley" not all of them show up, but they do show up in blackberry messanger. For example if I wanted to click on the "yawning" emoticon or the "can't watch" emoticon to use in an SMS i can't because it doesn't appear as an option, but it will appear in a blackberry messenger message.In blackberry messenger, it shows I have 45 different emoticons I can use, but in an SMS text, it only shows I have 30 emoticons. Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).

Trying to setup the personal email but in the Email Setup the only option available for me to select is the "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprice Server". The option "I want to create or add an email address" is missing.

I just now realized that its BB AppWorld that has disappeared and I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. I assume I drunkenly hit some random keys and it vanished but I can't possibly imagine how I have checked all my hidden folders and every thing. My Applications page under Settings lists AppWorld and I have even tried countless battery pulls and deleting AppWorld and reinstalling it.

I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe.So, I did that.Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.
