Trying to setup the personal email but in the Email Setup the only option available for me to select is the "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprice Server". The option "I want to create or add an email address" is missing.

Couple other questions I have. I don't have a data plan, can I still use BBM and download all the apps ? Also do I need to set up an email account to download apps and use BBM ?

I have 4 Gmail addresses on my BB Bold and the main account is missing the "email name [SYNC]" in the service book (I accidentally deleted it I think). Since I'm having issues with syncing already I figured I need it but I'm not sure. I resent all service books, but this particular one is still missing.

My 9700 comes today as an upgrade on th Three UK network and I am very excited! I have read the Lec101 series and it is very exciting but I cant take all that info in one go.I have one question (I am sure this is a first of many more to come ). Can anyone post a link to creating my BB email account on Three. I have looked through their website but I cant seem to find any link.if I dont set up a BB email account, will I still be able to set up my other yahoo or hotmail account on my BB and will I be able to use BB messenger.

When I used BB Desktop Manager restore to bring my data onto the 9700, it brought my old email address along with it. The new carrier has no clue on how to erase it. I have to be careful now to make sure I am choosing new carrier when sending out emails otherwise they won't send. How do I delete the old carrier email address? From the handset or from Desktop Manager?

Question: How the heck do I delete certain entries from this list? Or how do I just clear the entire list? I want to create or add an email address
and
I want to use the blackberry enterprise server
My blackberry only has one option..the enterprise server one. Now I don't work in any office environment, so this is of no use to me. I want to use the first option, that my phone doesn't have.
I have the new 9700, its two months old and its a really great phone-brand new btw. but there is no e-mail icons for the aol folder and the yahoo folder? is it missing? i sent the service books-but that didnt work.

As a result in my new 9700 bold I got transferred old email account from original BB9000. I could Hide buy I could not delete it and every time I try to send email my BB9700 giving me option to use both new and old email address
View 8 Replies View RelatedI started out with the problem that I cannot use internet or receive text/bbm/emails on my phone. I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe.So, I did that.Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

If is not a problem I can tell you that I never see the option on my blackberry offer me to create an account or add an account on the BB only says in email setups this " I want to use a work email acc with a BB Enterprise Server." that is the unique option that appear on the phone. The icon for de email configuration also didn't appear.

I did an upgrade to v5.0.0.680 on my Blackberry 9700 and after that my Standby - Mute button not working also the Email Setup is missing an option to add a personal account it only giving me option to add "Blackberry Enterprise Server."

View 7 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my bold 9700 is restarting on its own , then the screen become white with writing JVM error 503, I search the internet to find out what happen, but few second later the phone rebooted own its own.
so i cross my finger while it was doing it. to my relieve it starts ok. But after few hours when i want to call somebody on my phone book, to my horror, the whole contacts on the address book are gone, not even 1 left, it’s totally empty. bbm, notepad, email, bookmarks, sms are fine , nothing is missing only the contacts are gone, and I’m now overseas for company meeting, and i didn’t bring any backup file with me, I’ve been a maniac for smart phones, i used Symbian, IPhone, android, winMo, etc and NONE of them ever give me such a problem out of no where, my 2000+ contacts are gone. And no I didn’t install or do anything to my phone since few weeks, cause I’m on my business trip.
is there any solution to my problem? I’ve tried sending service book bust doesn’t seem to help. Seriously, if Any of RIM employee or designer happens to see this post, i got question for you. This supposed to be a business phone, and now all my business contacts are gone.

If I leave the multiple entries for the same person then the next person who I add will only show once.Why do they appear multiple times? I have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.
