I transferred contact data from my wife's BB9000 to my new BB9700 using BB desktop software 5.0. As a result in my new 9700 bold I got transferred old email account from original BB9000. I could Hide buy I could not delete it and every time I try to send email my BB9700 giving me option to use both new and old email address
View 8 RepliesI migrated to a different carrier. I setup a new blackberry email address on it. When I used BB Desktop Manager restore to bring my data onto the 9700, it brought my old email address along with it. The new carrier has no clue on how to erase it. I have to be careful now to make sure I am choosing new carrier when sending out emails otherwise they won't send. How do I delete the old carrier email address? From the handset or from Desktop Manager?

Question: How the heck do I delete certain entries from this list? Or how do I just clear the entire list? I prefer to delete certain entries like Outlook allows me to, but for some reason I cant find out how to do this on Blackberry Email.

I just got a 9700 yesterday and I am in Canada. I don't see the "I want to reate or add an email address". I can't seem to find the solution to that. Couple other questions I have. I don't have a data plan, can I still use BBM and download all the apps ? Also do I need to set up an email account to download apps and use BBM ?

Just found that there is no longer an option to reply using a different email address on the 9700. On the 8900, after you press reply, the top line says "send using" and you can click on that to choose which email to reply it with. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

Since I'm having issues with syncing already I figured I need it but I'm not sure. I resent all service books, but this particular one is still missing.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked Bold 9700 running OS 5 that I used briefly with an international SIM card service from the UK, and then abroad with a totally different provider (on a corporate enterprise plan). I recently re-established residence in the US and am allowing my son to use the BB for now. We have a new SIM from AT&T that has never had a BB account provisioned on it. I did a full security wipe on the phone. The phone is still receiving mail from a yahoo.com account. When I go to Setup -> Personal Email Setup and then click "back" (so as not to set up a new account) I get a message "An email address does not currently exist for your Blackberry device" -- and yet I am still receiving messages on the yahoo.com account and can reply, check out folders, etc. When I check the Service Books, there is no listing for any service book associated with the email account; indeed, no CMIME listing at all.How can I remove email access to the yahoo.com account from this phone? How in the world is it still receiving emails?

View 4 Replies View RelatedRandomly a few days ago, when composing emails I noticed my address book doesn't seem to be 'looked up'i.e. when I type in the To: box, the letter A or Ada...'Adam Smith' doesn't appear in the suggested contacts. None of my contacts appear at all!
This 'lookup' functions works fine for SMS but not email emails.I've updated with the latest software already

My first post to a message board ever! I love my BB, but not being particularly tech savvy, I have been slow going. I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with.
1. I set up my personal e-mail address and have that working great. Today I set up my work e-mail address via the enterprise server. My question is can I get those work e-mails to go into a specific e-mail folder rather than the catch-all message folder (which drive me nuts and is hard to read)?
2. I thought that once I set up the enterprise system it would automatically download my work-base calendar and contacts (Microsoft office) to my phone. Is that not the case? Is there something I'm missing? Am I supposed to download the bb software to my work computer as well and sync?
3. Is there a way to get my sent e-mails to go into a sent e-mail folder for the respective e-mail accounts? Or is there a way to format the look differently?
Why no new email icon after I set up the email? I've got 4 email accounts, but only 3 of them have icons. If I change to another Theme (background on the screen), all the email accounts icon will appear. I am currently using the default Theme which is missing 1 email icon.

View 14 Replies View RelatedAbout 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.

On that one I had an email icon which was just for my BT emails and I used this rather than the messages one which included everything (aim, BBM, Emails). I don't see this icon on the new Bold. Is it not possible to have it anymore? I don't like having to wade though everything that goes into messages to get to my emails.

I am wondering if there is a way to delete contacts from my phone, while keeping them in the address book of my Macbook? I have many contacts that I would like to keep permanently for future use, but am hoping to clean up the contacts on my actual phone. Each time I delete a contact from the iPhone, the contact is simultaneously deleted from my Macbook address book.

I renew my contract and get the cell with my points, the only problem is i'm with orange and the phone is like that with Orange on the bottom. they just ruined everything... when i look t-mobile in US it's so much better than this orange logo... Reboots and battery pulls don't do anything. I've ungraded multiple OS's as well and the problem still persists.
