I have the new 9700, its two months old and its a really great phone-brand new btw. but there is no e-mail icons for the aol folder and the yahoo folder? is it missing? i sent the service books-but that didnt work.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new bold 9700 to use, instead of my bold 9000. With blackberry desktop manager is used the device switch wizard to transfer everything to my 9700. However when it was done, my email icons were gone. I can only read my emails with the "messages" icon, but not my different email adresses appart. Does anyone know how i can fix this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm the proud owner of a Bold delivered today, (software V5.0.0.545) running on the Vodafone network in the UK.I've set up my Yahoo email on the BB and under Email Reconciliation have selected "Delete on Mailbox and Handsets." My BB is receiving the Yahoo mails but if I delete an email on the BB it still appears in my Yahoo email inbox.Is there full synchronization between BB and Yahoo mail or have I made an error in the set-up? If Yahoo cannot synchronize will using Googlemail enable me to synchronize emails?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a strange issue on my BlackBerry 9700 Bold, which I got on Orange UK. For some reason my E-mail and SMS Notifications are stacking under the same icon. So for example if I have 3 e-mails and 1 text it shows 4 as the e-mail Notification icon. I have friends on Vodafone who get two separate icons. So far I've tried the following: I've tried updating the firmware to the latest sticky at the top of this forum. Making sure Display New message indicator under General Options is set to yes Battery pull. I still get a red star over the SMS icon in the menu, but just no notification. In my themes menu I have Precision Zen and Precision Orange. Both have the same issue.

I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe.So, I did that.Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.

one of our users has a 9930 that seems to be corrupting the phone app on what I fear is a regular basis. This is the third instance of it happening and the device otherwise works fine. I've been able to reload the OS and get it working, but this is going to get old.The whole thing is complicated with BES on GroupWise, sometimes the contacts aren't 100% in sync with the mailbox so its not just a matter of restore, reactivate and go.

I read an article on the net that said to free-up device memory I should install items to my memory card.
In Application World, I highlighted Yahoo Messenger 2.5.32, clicked archive & it came up archiving complete. I tried to use the app but couldn't so I restored it, restarted, typed in my username/password & my contacts no longer received any of my messages.
I read on the net to remove the batter & try again, which worked until I logged out of Yahoo & since then Yahoo hasn't worked since. I have removed/re-installed it a number of times, removed the battery & nothing
Before I clicked archive & if logged on to the computer then logged on Yahoo with my 9700 it said on the computer I have logged in from a different location. If I was logged in on my phone then logged in via the computer I used to get an error 100 (unable to connect to the server) meaning I was logged in from a different location. Now, I can be on the computer, login on the phone which doesn't log me out of the computer & I can send messages from the phone yet no contact receives them. Go to the computer & send them with computer & phone logged it & automatically the contacts get my messages.
Also, if I remove the application, auto-restart when the phone comes back up I see a 'Y' on the Yahoo e-mail folder, but not always.
Morning cb community...I've got a weird issue going on...not an annoyance or deal breaker just curious. Anyways lately and randomly my phones ringtone for my yahoo email goes off and there isn't an email. It vibrates and the berrybuzz led and color goes off too. The weird thing is is that there isn't even an unread email indicator with the number. The phone just goes off. Its weird. I've done battery pulls and stuff. Any thoughts? It just has me wondering. It doesn't do it for my sprint.blackberry.net email just my yahoo email.
I was using wireless contact sync with my yahoo address, and now I am using a gmail address. under contacts options> contact lists I have two lists. One for my yahoo adress and one for my gmail address. How do I delete the yahoo list?

I have managed to get both of my e-mail addresses on it without any problem, I have also managed to sync it with my BT Yahoo contacts list but for the life of me I cannot get it to sync with my online BT Yahoo calendar which has 10 years worth of past and future entries on it. I am using BB Manager 5.01.28. BT won't offer any support because they say it is a Yahoo issue. There doesn't appear to be any Yahoo support and my provider Vodafone has been completly useless and has promised that one of its "advanced technical team" will phone me back on two occasion but never do. Can anyone help please. i'm beginning to wish I had stuck with my old Nokia 6310.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to wirelessly sync from Blackberry Calender to Yahoo calander. I am able to bring up yahoo calender and when I go to options, the 'wirelesss synchronization' is set to 'No'. I can't seem to change that. Does anyone know if there is any other way/option that needs to be enabled? I can sync via Desktop Manager with yahoo, but need a way to sync wirelessly. Apparently Yahoo Go service provided that option but is no longer supported.
