View 9 RepliesI've had my Samsung Galaxy S5 (verizon) for about two months. I just ran into a problem where many of the icons are missing when I bring up twitter. For example, when I'm at my home page, if I look at the menu bar near the top of the page, I see the words ""Home", "Connect", "Discover", "Me", but the icons above each command are missing. Also, the avis in my feed are missing.
If I click on a specific tweet, then the poster's avi does appear, but the icons for retweet, reply, favorite, etc. are completely missing. However, if I touch the screen where they should be located, the commands do work.
Rebooting the phone (off/on) did not work. And this is not affecting any other apps that I have noticed.
First off when I take my phone out of lock or wake up it from sleeping the icons are missing till i wipe my finger across the screen.. its weird to explain but its kinda like i have to swipe the whole screen for the icons to be visable the same thing happens when my phone goes to sleep and the keyboard is open.. any ideas?
and another thing is sometimes ill be writting a msg and my phone will make 3 beeping prompting type of noise any idea what this is?
I have a 9650 and for some reason when I got visual voicemail, my icons in the boxes on the phone screen went away... no speakerphone icon, no mute, etc. I cant find anything in the manual or online, and since this is the only phone i have access to most of the time

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have updated my OS to 7.1.0 Bundle 2039 and have noticed a few changes. Today my homescreen has a row of icons appeared at the bottom. In the previous version you could turn off the icons and only have a small up arrow shown that you could select to show the icons.
How do I switch off the icons on the home screen?
I used to have a row of icons on the bottom of the home screen but somehow they have all disappeared and now only come up when you go into all.
It used to be the top row of icons which i use all the time. How do i get them back to be showing all the time?
I have a 9700, and I wondered if we can set custom icons on the home screen, like putting Opera or BeeJiveIM instead of other icons like Vodafone Live or Email or Calendar.I hope you got it. I searched on the web, but no good answer for 9700.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving updated my Bold 9900 to the latest Vodafone supported software a couple of weeks ago (just after I bought it) I have been unable to hide icons on the home screen. When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a n00b so I apologize in advance, but I just bought my Blackberry Bold and really dig this phone. However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there. How do I do this? I am currently using the "Widescreen HD 9700 O550" theme (which looks really nice).I just switched over from the G1/Android OS so I am still learning my way around the Blackberry.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just "upgraded" from my 9700 to a 9900 with OS7 (remains to be seen if it feels like an upgrade when I get everything finally sorted). Mostly it seems fine after some difficult first days.A small but weird thing. On OS6, in the top bar of the home screen I would get alert symbols for Mail, SMS, BBW upgrades, BBM upgrades, Twitter, etc. If I clicked on the top bar, a page would open where I could see the top of my email box, the top of my SMS box, etc etc.
The same thing happens on OS7, BUT for some reason now my email inboxes do not appear (the "new message" symbol appears, but the inbox is not on the detail page that opens); same for BB, same for SMS. When I click that bar, the only content which appears on the more detailed page is my calendar and Twitter.I thought maybe there might be a setting which determines which content appears on that detail page and which does not, but the only manageable element of the home screen now appears to be the panels ticklist.
I woke up this morning and noticed that my BBM icon, and my Twitter icon are missing. I've tried taking out the battery, and clicking "show all" under the main menu, but neither appear. I've asked frieds to send me a BBM and I don't even receive them.

I have looked andsearched it everywhere from instant messages folder to search icon but it's no where found
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just starting using Android again, but I remember being able to send out a tweet from the home screen without opening the Twitter app, and I can not find a widget that does that, what can I use to do so?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recenetly just bought the Galaxy S5 and its working great. But for some reason when I try to add the twitter widget to the home screen or any of the screens I get the message "application not installed." This is only happening with twitter. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but same message. I did a factory reset as well but no luck. The application itself works if I go through the app itself.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI replaced a Torch, 9800, with a replacement unit. All seems to work except the icons on the bottom of the bbm screen. They are normally "send", view contact info" etc. However, I just show a single star in the middle bottom where the icons should be.

View 2 Replies View Relatedone of our users has a 9930 that seems to be corrupting the phone app on what I fear is a regular basis. This is the third instance of it happening and the device otherwise works fine. I've been able to reload the OS and get it working, but this is going to get old.The whole thing is complicated with BES on GroupWise, sometimes the contacts aren't 100% in sync with the mailbox so its not just a matter of restore, reactivate and go.
