can the icons at the bottom of the home screen be changed ? can I put what apps I want to run the most there ? I love my BB Bold 9700, and I am just full of questions about it.

My Torch (my 6th BB) somehow switched the number of icons per screen configuration from many icons to a single icon per screen. The Torch screen locking mechanism is too sensitive and my BB unlocked in my pocket (this is a major defect).Once unlocked my "pocket" must have launched a shortcut from the touch screen reconfiguring the number of icons per screen. View 3 Replies View RelatedI had an authorized seller replace the broken screen on my iPhone 4S, but now the bottom dock of icons is unresponsive. Weird thing is that I can't access the icons on the dock, nor open the lantern / calculator / clock / camera on the icons when I pull up the quick menu, but aside from that, that part of the screen works ... I can use the keyboard completely, you name it, everything except the icons on the dock and the bottom ones on the pull up menu ! Â
The guy who fixed my screen said it must be a software glitch, but I've restarted and restored the phone (from backup and as a new one) and the problem is still there !Â
Any chance he messed up something while changing the screen ?Â
Also, iPhone isn't (and has never been) jailbroken or anything of the sorts

However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.

Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?
Is there an option to change the amount of icons that appear on your home screen on the BB Bold? I have one row of six icons on the home screen, and would like to add another row of favorite icons to my home screen.
