I have been downloading apps today and their icon's dont seem to be showing up anywhere. Ive downloaded BB Maps a few times and it's nowhere to be seen. Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?
View 4 RepliesStarting when I installed 5.0.0.545, and continuing on .593, and .593 pwncakes hybrid I have this minor problem I did not used to have. On my browser's go to page, the icons for the search options are cut off or missing. See the images below. This did not happen with my stock .293, .405, or any versions I used prior to .545
Is this "normal" or is something a little off with my 9700? I don't think I've wiped it since my .545 install, just upgraded.
Can I create a short cut or icon for my home page that points to a specific web page?

However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there.How do I do this? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 blackberry curve 8520 phones. Usually when there are new notifications on facebook or when I have a new email it is displayed on top of the home screen. On the one phone, I have a notification for facebook which I have already checked out, but the notification won't go away. On the other phone, there is an icon that looks a lot like the "earth" on the email icon. I have searched all over this phone - email messages, BBM messages and updates etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was using my phone earlier, everything was fine. I looked at it later, all my folders and icons are gone from my home page. The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. One is a flashing mail icon ( I used to get this when my E51 inbox was full) and the other is showing the icon that a mail was pending being sent - ie in my outbox. Thing is, there is nothing in any outbox. Can anybody help me get rid of these 2 icons please?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4 running 4.01. I have five blank (white) icons on my home screen named: iPodOut, WbbSheet, TrustMe, DemoApp, AdSheet. They open to a black or white screen, then close. They can be moved to a different page, but can't be deleted. I don't know how they got there, but I'm guessing that they are Jailbreak and/or Cydia related.

My keypad and trackball do not work on the home page, except for the green phone, escape, red phone, convenience buttons, and the mute button. I can switch applications with the left convenience button, and all the buttons and trackball work on any other screen. It's not a password issue, and I don't think it's how the keypad lock works. Any ideas?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have updated my OS to 7.1.0 Bundle 2039 and have noticed a few changes. Today my homescreen has a row of icons appeared at the bottom. In the previous version you could turn off the icons and only have a small up arrow shown that you could select to show the icons.
How do I switch off the icons on the home screen?
I used to have a row of icons on the bottom of the home screen but somehow they have all disappeared and now only come up when you go into all.
It used to be the top row of icons which i use all the time. How do i get them back to be showing all the time?

When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch?
View 4 Replies View RelatedPosted this in various places and have yet to receive an answer. Just got first BlackBerry, tried to view my homepage which is a myyahoo page. When I get to the SIGN IN screen, I can sometime type in the username, but it NEVER allows me to type in the PW, thus I cannot open the page.
The arrow cursor never changes to one that will allow to type in information. I called Verizon, I visited the Store, I posted on BlackBerry forums. No one at Verizon store (4) could get it to work, no responses on the forum. Is it a browser (either BB or Yahoo) problem and does anyone know of a way around it of it the new (so I hear) BB browser will fix this problem. I really want to like this phone, but if I am barred from viewing my homepage, it is going to be hard to do.
Have recently upgraded Twitter on 10th OCt 2012 with recent update since then not able to see Twitter icon on home screen of my BB 9780.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI never get GPS lock anymore on any of my GPS apps,, google, BBmaps, and like 5 other location apps.I go to my Options, Advanced Options, GPS and the page cannot open..I also noticed another problem where my Picture viewer doesn't open up pictures anymore from the thumbnail preview list. i.e when I click on a thumbnail it doesnt open full screen. It just sits there.
