I'm only new here so play nice! I got a new E52 last week. Problem is there is 2 icons on the home screen that I can't get rid of. One is a flashing mail icon ( I used to get this when my E51 inbox was full) and the other is showing the icon that a mail was pending being sent - ie in my outbox. Thing is, there is nothing in any outbox. Can anybody help me get rid of these 2 icons please?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 blackberry curve 8520 phones. Usually when there are new notifications on facebook or when I have a new email it is displayed on top of the home screen. On the one phone, I have a notification for facebook which I have already checked out, but the notification won't go away. On the other phone, there is an icon that looks a lot like the "earth" on the email icon. I have searched all over this phone - email messages, BBM messages and updates etc.

The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4 running 4.01. I have five blank (white) icons on my home screen named: iPodOut, WbbSheet, TrustMe, DemoApp, AdSheet. They open to a black or white screen, then close. They can be moved to a different page, but can't be deleted. I don't know how they got there, but I'm guessing that they are Jailbreak and/or Cydia related.

When I select this bar it flashes red as if I've selected it and I also get a select vibrate but nothing opens.I have tried switching off the notification in my home screen settings, and the good old turining the phone off and on again.

I have a problem with my Maps Application. Firstly I only have 9 icons on the Maps display page instead of the 10 that is shown on the Nokia website, I have found I do not have the Michelin guides........any ideas why?
I cannot download the Here and Now 2.0, it states that the Installation failed and have tried many times to reinstall it. Does this have anything to do with the missing Michelin Guide icon not being there?
My apps occasionall disappear from main home pages as well as from folders placed on home page but yet they are all still loaded on phone.Has happened numerous times for same apps and most apps are stored on SD card.Running latest gingerbread version 2.3.3. This has happened before on version 2.2.

On my browser's go to page, the icons for the search options are cut off or missing. See the images below. This did not happen with my stock .293, .405, or any versions I used prior to .545
Is this "normal" or is something a little off with my 9700? I don't think I've wiped it since my .545 install, just upgraded.
I have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

View 2 Replies View RelatedHi folks, i've recently updated to v.40 firmware on my 5800 and find the incursion of the Ovi software somewhat of a disappointment and aesthetically, no improvement. Anyways i'd like to remove the installed Ovi apps and branding throughout.
I'vw removed two of the apps but the Ovi Store Client remains persistently stubborn and is immediately re-installed with the "securewidgetinstaller". And that Ovi tab under contacts i'd like to see that gone too.
I recently updated from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1, I had blackra1n installed before and switched to jailbreakme.com.. Everything works fine except now I have a half inch space under my dock at the home screen, even my wallpaper is shrunken.
