Hi folks, i've recently updated to v.40 firmware on my 5800 and find the incursion of the Ovi software somewhat of a disappointment and aesthetically, no improvement. Anyways i'd like to remove the installed Ovi apps and branding throughout.
I'vw removed two of the apps but the Ovi Store Client remains persistently stubborn and is immediately re-installed with the "securewidgetinstaller". And that Ovi tab under contacts i'd like to see that gone too.
just got a new nokia 6350 phone with the sim card installed. i want to remove it but i cant seem to get it out.i slide the metal back but then i cant get the card out.
I'm only new here so play nice! I got a new E52 last week. Problem is there is 2 icons on the home screen that I can't get rid of. One is a flashing mail icon ( I used to get this when my E51 inbox was full) and the other is showing the icon that a mail was pending being sent - ie in my outbox. Thing is, there is nothing in any outbox. Can anybody help me get rid of these 2 icons please?
Downloaded MfE 3.00.050 to my E71. Found that periodic synchronization first deletes the contents of my in box and sent box, and then downloads emails from the last day. (I do have the sync setting for emails for the last day). In other words, every x minutes I'm downloading a lot of data. Very inconvenient as it takes several minutes to sync, and also very expensive to sync while roaming on travel out of the country.
Also, my prior version of MfE would update the read flag on emails. Now a periodic sync now ignores whatever was done on my phone, and every x minutes I now have all the emails I read showing up as unread. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried both the server wins and phone wins settings, and there does not seem to be a difference.
I recently bought C2-03. The ovi maps app loads successfully but the maps inside the app doesn't load. I tried downloading them through Nokia ovi suite but i don't know where it is storing them.
Whenever I seem to download an mp3 file or a movie it simply starts to stream without giving me the option to safe it my device is still new and im not that femiliar with it yet Nokia lumia 800 old
if i m gonna hav to reset my phone, in which case, i m gonna lose all the data on my phone memory. Now, all i wanna know is tht, if i bakup all the contents of the phone memory onto memory card or through Pc suite, will all of the data, inculdin all of my msgs frm inbox plus the folders tht i hav created of the msgs will b baked up or jst the inbox msgs. Coz i rreally raelly wud like to keep those msgs. frm all the folders.
I made a mistake by formatting my E52 original mem card, subsquently i lost some applications and data that comes builtin for installed applications. Can somebody do me a favor by uploading original folders/ contents (almost 500 MB)
When updating my E63 contacts, calendar etc. uUsing PC-Suite via Bluetooth, every update asks the phone "Accept connection request from PC?" This doesn't occur when using a cable connection but is a real nuisance when using Bluetooth. Any way of automatically accepting the connection request?
I have configured my work email id (Lotus notes- enterprise services) on my device. procedure to remove the tag of "sent from my balckberry" that appears on every email sent using my device.I know how to remove it from the general email settings. However couldnt find any helpful thread on removing it from BES as well.
I'm taking over my office blackberry as my personal phone and want to delete the BES link and replace it with BIS. How do I do this, or is it easier to get a new phone?
I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.
how to remove the awful offensive-looking 'nokia green' swipe to unlock facility following my firmware upgrade?
I have only just purchased the phone this week, and chose it mainly on looks - I just use a mobile for texting and calls, so I go for a basic phone with good looks.
Because of some initial problems with the software I was advised to update the firmware, but on no account did I ask for this horrible green swipe thing! I just want my inoffensive little grey unlock button back!
Is there an option in my phone somewhere to change back, or do I have to reverse the upgrade or something?I just want it back looking how it looked when I tried it before buying, as that's why I bought it
I'm following the manual procedure to remove PTT as described in several threads such as "how-uninstall-push-talk-82057" Works great. But the next time I use Desktop Manager to add or remove an application it reloads the whole suite of device software as well. This is a pain because I have to re-register all my apps and do a bunch of other housekeeping but it also brings PTT back.
Any idea what is causing this? I am using DM 5.0.1

Have just been sent new E72 as my old one died (see my other post). All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.
I just got a housing and I have to remove the flash and the speaker from the mid casing and I don't know how, does any one have any pics or video of how I can do this.And I've already asked my friend google and I've searched no one had anything of what I'm looking for.
Last night I noticed an icon for Airg Chat. I never downloaded this app and can't seem to remove it. The best I can do is hide the icon. I'm using a bb 8330 with os 5. Has one else seen this?
How to hide the Time Display on the Home Display Screen or any of the information on this screen. It is very annoying to have a photo as a screen saver and have the top part of the photo covered by words and time displays!
I was wondering if anybody knows how to reset or remove this "Sim Lock" password for the J706. So far i can make the phone works as along as I go into the *2767 trick with no sim but I need to pass this phone to somebody who's not that proficient on technology.
When I press the home button, I would like to see the home page without having to swipe away a generic photo/image, is there a way of removing the first image?
