I recently bought C2-03. The ovi maps app loads successfully but the maps inside the app doesn't load. I tried downloading them through Nokia ovi suite but i don't know where it is storing them.

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a nokia 5530 xm. i had some corrupted music files in my music library so i made a back up-file on the computer and erased everything on the memorycard.Then i loaded all the stuff back on the memorycard. But then almost all my apps were gone, so i tried to download them again. But i can't click the 'download' button (it's dark gray, like if you've already clicked it) so i think the ovi store remembers that i have downloaded the apps before and it's like i have got them on my phone but i have checked all the installed apps and all the installation files in the application manager but they aren't there.

Close some applications" error message when I keep driving only within about 5 minutes of initiating the navigation. When I intitate the application, I have about 48MB of free RAM on my N97 Mini which is very quickly consumed by maps. This is too irritating when you're driving and especially when you're in a new place where you need a lot of assistance from GPS. Loat hopes in Nokia and Symbian these days due to multiple problems... Have tried factory reset/full format etc., but no go.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a C902 that has just started to refuse to power up. It hasn't been modified or reflashed since new. I've removed the battery, SIM and memory card and then reinstalled the battery. On pressing power on, the phone vibrates briefly and then the blue shutter button on the side lights up. That is all it will do. It did complain of a memory issue just before. I have downloaded the Sony Update Service program and it says than an update is available. However, I really need to save the internal phone memory contents (i.e. phone contacts and text messages) as this process will wipe it clean. Sony's PC Suite won't connect to the phone as it refuses to power up. I'm hoping that someone knows of a utility that will connect to the phone like the Update Service program that will allow me to read the contacts and text messages directly from the phone memory. Is this possible? Is there another way, i.e. direct memory access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'm becoming crazy and maybe someone can give me some explanation. I tried to download the maps with the Map Loader, I can see on the left part of the window a lot of maps, but I do not se any info on which map is already installed ! Is it normal? When I use the navigation the only thing that is on is the Bluetooth but even when I turn it off it happens the same thing. Sometimes the phone restarts itself.

I'vw removed two of the apps but the Ovi Store Client remains persistently stubborn and is immediately re-installed with the "securewidgetinstaller". And that Ovi tab under contacts i'd like to see that gone too.
I have downloaded the "Own Voice" guidance for navigation but seem to have lost my setting it up. how to set up my own voice? By that I mean, to record my own voice? All I can do as of now is choose "Own Voice" in the Settings -> Walk/Drive -> Voice Guidance. But where to RECORD my own voice?

Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.

View 6 Replies View RelatedDownloaded MfE 3.00.050 to my E71. Found that periodic synchronization first deletes the contents of my in box and sent box, and then downloads emails from the last day. (I do have the sync setting for emails for the last day). In other words, every x minutes I'm downloading a lot of data. Very inconvenient as it takes several minutes to sync, and also very expensive to sync while roaming on travel out of the country.
Also, my prior version of MfE would update the read flag on emails. Now a periodic sync now ignores whatever was done on my phone, and every x minutes I now have all the emails I read showing up as unread. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried both the server wins and phone wins settings, and there does not seem to be a difference.
1) loaded current PC Suite.
2) It successfully found my phone and my bluetooth connection.
3) It asked me to download and install OVI. I did so, but it failed.
4) The program read my address book successfully.
5) It tried to refresh the contents and failed.
6) It failed backup suggesting I reconnec the phone and try again. This doesn't work.
7) It doesn't find pictures on my camera to upload.
8) The program locks if I try to go to Settings.
9) The program is also extremely slow opening up any application.
10) It won't let me edit contacts.
This thing just isn't working. I'm running Windows XP home on a Dell Dimension E520
