Nokia Navigation :: Satellite View On Navigation?
Jun 6, 2012is it possible to use the satellite view during navigation? Is saw this with the Google Maps navigation app and I'm wondering now, if it's possible with Nokia Maps, too.

Before i was using E72 it was taking around 1-2 min to connect,, but with my new E6 it takes more than 15 to 20 minutes to connect! Is it normal to take this long time? Nokia Navigation :: While Navigation Compas Does Not Orientate
Dec 12, 2011Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.

Aug 6, 2010Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!

Aug 22, 2012getting very frustrated with this now. I have given my dad my N95 to help him get around but just cant get the map navigation to work. I downloaded the Nokia Map Loader (I had to go to a third party website as the Nokia links were all broken) and have the map/voices but when my dad tries to use the navigation it tells him he has to pay.Obviously, I know that Nokia have now made these services free to complete with other company's devices, I'm just being stupid and not going to the right place to download them. Nokia :: Satellite View Of OVI Maps
Jan 28, 2010Can anyone give me some advice about the Satellite view (and even terrain view) of ovi maps. I've put version 3.03 (but the problem existed in the previous 3.01) on today - which currently looks nice and works better, but when I select satellite view (map displayed -> press Cogs -> press Satellite View) the map view is replaced block by block by a repeated patteren of green stripes.Is this the expected behaviour, or should I be seeing a satellite image? I have left the phone (N97) displaying the map for about an hour hoping that perhaps the map would get updated, but so far only 16kb has been downloaded.
The map was loaded onto the phone by Nokia Map Loader.The green stripes result is the same regardless of whether drive mode or walk mode is used.Am I doing anything wrong?

1. I've downloaded the maps for different countries, is it possible to navigate all of the maps in off-line mode? It seems only the country where I stay will be displayed in the GPS...I'm traveling around frequently, better to check prior to my journey..
2. How could I check how many maps that I have in my mobile phone already, since I did several downloads but forgot what I did...
3. I've downloaded the female voice and female voice for the street, but when I test the route, there is no turn by turn instructions?

Mar 29, 2010Ovi map 3.03 for S60 V3.1 with free navigation has been released on China's Nokia official website..When I select E72 and click on the "download" button, the file name is "nokia_ maps_ 3[1]. 03_ 10wk11_ b04_ s60_ 3.1_ rom_china.NOCS.sis", which is totally different from the file downloaded from Nokia Europe.I successfully installed it in my E71 and it automatically became English UI. I test the navigation for walk or drive, it's completely free of charges. You just need to download the map and voice with map loader.Don't be confused by the file name.It will automatically adapt the language on your phone!!
