Soon after update software to 40.0.005 (Russian language 40.0.005.05.01) my photo camera stopped working (nothing was change in software set which I am using).When I press camera button it becomes to start (red sign is appeared in up right corner of screen) but camera application is not loaded and nothing is happened (red sign is disappeared this time). Second button press doesn't have any effect.
View 9 RepliesI am using Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E71 (language: German) plus Nokia Map Loader 3.0, but I am experiencing several problems: Nokia Maps goes online via Internet for a few seconds (which costs me) although I set it to my Wireless connection. How can I switch that off? Every time I load a new map (and voices) via Map Loader and then start the software on my E71, it tells me that the maps are out-dated and I need to delete them. But then I do not see any maps in the software, and also the load of the voice is gone.

Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.

Now I'm becoming crazy and maybe someone can give me some explanation. I tried to download the maps with the Map Loader, I can see on the left part of the window a lot of maps, but I do not se any info on which map is already installed ! Is it normal? This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.

The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .

Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.

However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.
Hi have a X6 and loaded ovi maps, worked fine when I had a 3G data connection. now when i dont have one the GPS seems to not work. DO I need a 3G or wifi for it to work or does it work as a stand alone without any data connection.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a nokia 5530 xm. i had some corrupted music files in my music library so i made a back up-file on the computer and erased everything on the memorycard.Then i loaded all the stuff back on the memorycard. But then almost all my apps were gone, so i tried to download them again. But i can't click the 'download' button (it's dark gray, like if you've already clicked it) so i think the ovi store remembers that i have downloaded the apps before and it's like i have got them on my phone but i have checked all the installed apps and all the installation files in the application manager but they aren't there.
