Jan 20, 2012I have an E6. I have configured a GMail and Yahoo email accounts but have configured it to retrieve only at 8am. So data will be used only during that time or whenever a known internet accessing application is running.This was for around 3 months. As soon as I exit say Opera, the data connection would be closed.But for the past 2 weeks, the data connection refuses to terminate. Even when I manually terminate by going into Connections, it gets reconnected automatically.This behaviour appears suspiciously like a virus / spyware running hidden because task manager shows no running application other than F-Secure which is disabled except for theft protection.How to find out if there is any hidden process accessing the internet?How to know which applications run at startup?

Dec 22, 2011So I was having a problem with the original chat app that comes with the Nokia E5 phone saying that I should search for updates, but when I clicked that, I received the message of "Service temporarily unavailable. Try again later.". So I had this for a few days, using different connections and all that stuff, and the problem remained.With no option left, I decided to uninstall the app and thought: "Well, I'll just reinstall it!". There you go, now I need to reinstall that app to my phone. How can I do that? Where can I download the original chat App ("messenger, yahoo, gtalk, etc.", that all-in-one app that comes with E5)? I've tried reinstalling the system, like, using Nokia Suite and pressing the "reinstall system" button there is in the Updates tab, but that didn't help.

Dec 8, 2011i just bought my nokia e7 just 45 days only. when i on the camera , device completely freeze there is no more process, i have to press the switch off button for few sec to shut, device is working well, but only when i switch on the camera it;s becae freeze. even i have done soft format and also hard formate , even i updated my device through online for Symbian anna. and also i have tested my camera with additional third party camera applications but at the time also i got negative result. even i restored my camera setting. .

Nov 13, 2011I found some applications, such as foursquare and Dropian, cannot be installed on my E7. Other applications, such as Gravity and Y-Browser, were installed without a problem though. I tried both of Ovi Store on the device itself and Ovi Store on PC, but both failed. I am not sure, but I guess it might be related to a Qt issue because Dropian is a Qt-based application. For your reference, my device firmware is up-to-date.

Mar 21, 2011My E7 ambient light sensor glows faint red when I try to connect a fring voice call (and the phone stops responding) or when certain apps (pocket lock) for instance is running. is there any issue with my phone? will the "Glow" burn my proximity sensor? is this an indication of any problem with the application. Oct 9, 2011Had my E7 since May but this problem has been around for most of that time. The phone can be sat there without anyone touching it when all of a sudden the light on the back (I assume the flash light) comes on of its own accord. It is very bright and I can't switch it off.I took the phone back to the store twice already and the second time the guy in the store could also see it happening but the repairers are failing to find the fault.Sometimes the light stays on and the screen lights up and then fades. Other times (like today) the light comes on and the unlock slide key on the left hand side of phone fails to work. Only unlocking the phone via screen will work.Have checked and no applications are running so not sure what is going wrong. Anyone else had any similar problems because I am baffled.

If I select 'Message' its MMS option. Can some one confirm if this feature was changed after the recent Fw 052.005 ? Is it a bug with the new Email 3.09?My phone has both these updates( Fw05.005 & 3.09).
