I'm from Vietnam, I own an E71 (FW 400.013.23), when I bought this phone, Chat application is pre-installed and it's okay for me. However, after I format my phone Chat application disappeared (it's not a part of the firmware I guess).I go to OVI Store to redownload it (Nokia Messaging for IM) at: URL... But it says this is not compatible with E71! What's wrong? Please show me a solution to reinstall Chat application on my phone.
So I was having a problem with the original chat app that comes with the Nokia E5 phone saying that I should search for updates, but when I clicked that, I received the message of "Service temporarily unavailable. Try again later.". So I had this for a few days, using different connections and all that stuff, and the problem remained. With no option left, I decided to uninstall the app and thought: "Well, I'll just reinstall it!". There you go, now I need to reinstall that app to my phone. How can I do that? Where can I download the original chat App ("messenger, yahoo, gtalk, etc.", that all-in-one app that comes with E5)? I've tried reinstalling the system, like, using Nokia Suite and pressing the "reinstall system" button there is in the Updates tab, but that didn't help.
My phone is a Nokia E5-00 bought from Hong Kong, and there is no Chat on here even when it states there should be. I checked the ways to download it, like at Ovi Store, but I still found no trace. I haven't really cared about it until recently because I thought E5s didn't have them. And I still don't know if they do or not.
I still haven't been able to set up my GMail or Chat on my E72.
I was thinking it might be a local provider issue but I heard that Nokia messaging servers have been having problems.
What's the solution for email? Shows the "Preparing for Setup" message forever when I launch the email wizard and doesn't move forward to display options of GMail, Yahoo etc.
I need to format my phone E55. I've already tried with *37370# but this only reinitialize the settings of my phone. I know about the second options, with 3 keys pressed. Does anyone knows witch keys are required for format on E55?
I have Chat (or Nokia Messenger for IM) version 2.0.10 installed on my E72. I used to be able to use it for Gtalk and MSN chatting. But now I can not log in anymore. I even tried the ovi chat and i got the same problem. It says "Authorization failed" with a NOKIA banner on top. I wonder if it is the problem of NOKIA server or just my phone?
I upgraded from FW 031.23 to Fw 052.005 . Every function of E72 works post upgrade but OVI chat has stopped working. When I try login to my gmail using OVI chat, I get this error "A temporary service problem. Try again later.(Code-2)"
i tried to do voice chat through nimbuzz and fring.in fring, others can listen me but i can't listen them.in nimbuzz, both parties do not receive the sound of eachother.i buy this phone for voice n video and it is not working for both.
I try to Download Nokia Chat from OVI and its says Nokia Chat is not compatible for E73... WHY???? its E series phone similar to other E series. Every time I go to Ctr_Panel --> Connectivity --> Net Setting --> Download, Result is No service available.
I'm using Chat on my nokia E6, but I can not sign in with my Yahoo account. But if I use another Yahoo account and sign in, it works ! I don't understand...
I installed Nokia Chat from Ovi store on my phone. When I start the chat, I am shown an option "Get the latest IM service" When I click this option, I see "Checking for new IM updates". It keeps checking for updates for a min or so then I get a message 'Error: Unable to complete request. Try Again" I have a proper wifi and so its not a connectivity issue. Previously I have used Nokia chat and I had all services(gtalk, yahoo etc) but recently I had to format the phone, so had to install chat again.
I have seen the option before, and it is in the manual, but neither of my E72s (both with latest s/w) will format the card, either as it was, with 14GB data, or formatted in Windows (7) and clean as the proverbial whistle.
Recently, whenever I try to sign into Windows Live Messenger using Nokia Chat, I get the "request could not be completed" error. This happens regardless of using Wi-Fi or mobile data. I reinstalled the chat client to no avail. Using Anna v25.007 (if the solution entails upgrading to Belle, it's not a step worth taking).
I encrypted my memory card, worked ok for months. Today I showed a buddy of mine the encryption application, which asked if the memory card should be encrypted (encryption was already enabled). No Keyfiles/Passwords where asked for. The Phone crashed after that (hard reset after 5 hours). So the card is now encrypted, but there appears to be no valid key file on the device... So we have the usual issue: encrypted card, no keyfile or password. My problem is different in the following aspect: I don't want to recover any data - I just want to reformat the card and use my last (weekly) backup. However the phone won't let me do this. The following steps were taken to solve this issue without success:A complete Restore using the PC Suite does not restore any memory card contents or keys. The memory card stays "corrupted", encrypted and unwritable."Format Memory Card" says "card corrupted". Upon issuing the format request it says "Another application is using this memory card. Proceed" (which I confirm, as I suppose the crypto driver grabs the device) and then the program does nothing. It returns to the starting screen with "memory card corrupted".ReEnabling Encryption with a different key keeps saying that "No keys found", even after setting a new one. Sidenote: Even with a new key the card can't be formatted, as described above. The Phone was reset (using *#7370#, the 3+*+Green never worked on my phone) to factory defaults. Still the card was correctly recognized as encrypted and remained unusable as described above.Using a PC to format the memory card fails, as only the first 512kB appear to be writable (using dd under linux to write sequential zeroes). Despite writing this zero-dump, the phone still recognizes the card as encrypted, which implies that data on the card survived that crude zeroing attempt. Interestingly enough I can create a FAT32 Filesystem on these 512KB (not quick format), which appears to have no effect on the phone considering the card encrypted...The card is ok, since it was only removed after the problem occured. This must be an encryption issue. I suspect that the "Read Only" Password was set on the SD Card (hardware side, not E71 software) and hence all read/write operations are declined by the card.Is there any way to actually reset the encryption state of this card? As I previously said: I am not trying to recover any data, I just want a cleanly formatted microSD card..
How do i remove chat from my home screen in the horizontal icon bar theme?I can adjust my shortcuts but am missing the option 'home screen applications'?
Could you please recommend a video converter that can convert most videos to a format compatible with E72's built-in RealPlayer? "The 9000 series is the most reliable computer ever made." HAL 9000
Cant install and remove application from E71 and happens to switch off unexpectly on diffrent cases especially when browsing net. and the device is not functioning properly.device has become too slow and becomes hot.
