View 1 Replies View RelatedI get the message "can't install as you don't have enough space on C:" All my apps that gave me an option are installed on E: so I have none to delete from C:. I tried to delete Maps 3.06 and it appeared to be deleted in the App Manager but it still seems to be there and working. I have cleared all the web browser cache.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOf late post the latest firmware update, Nokia Maps is annoying me very much with "Memory Full. Close some applications" error message when I keep driving only within about 5 minutes of initiating the navigation. When I intitate the application, I have about 48MB of free RAM on my N97 Mini which is very quickly consumed by maps. This is too irritating when you're driving and especially when you're in a new place where you need a lot of assistance from GPS. Loat hopes in Nokia and Symbian these days due to multiple problems... Have tried factory reset/full format etc., but no go.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if someone could let me know how I could install apps via the memory card, or alternately from my Mac. I've download the .sis file to my mac but how can I install it from there onto my e63. Sorry if this topic has been brought up before, I've searched through the forum and found nothing and don't see any instructions in the manual.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bought Nokia Lumia 810 (T-Mobile) and downloaded the maps - the internal memory is ony 8gb. With OS and the Maps it takes up considerable space. Is it possible to move the map to the SD card? If yes any link or steps to do the same?
For using Nokia Drive - is it mandatory to download the maps? Just wondering how Google Navigation / Maps work for Android as I don't recall d/l any maps on Android!
I test drove the Nokia drive on couple of known locations and both times the paths chosen were uncommon - when comparing to the inbuilt GPS in the car as well as with Google Navigation! This was US maps. I hope Nokia Maps / Drive gets better.
My trusty 6110 Navigator lost its maps on the SD Card due to stupid used error ( I deleted them). As this phone is no longer supported by Nokia ( I presume), my question is how can I get a copy of the Uk Maps to put back on my SD Card to continue using the phone?, or else it becomes a handy paper weight?

I been reading back and forth for 2½ hours now searching for the MAP download to put on my memory card. But I cant find any link etc that get me to download the entire Swedish map (so I can use the GPS without internet connection) Or isnt that possible with this free service anymore ? (cause connecting to internet everyday and always when using the GPS can and will be very expensive The Phone is : Nokia 5800 XpressMusic The Phone Version is : V31.0.101 (Date: 19-9-2009) -updated yesterday OviMAPS (in phone) : V3.03 So could someone answer if its possible to download an map to the memorycard (as before) and use it offline?
View 26 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia C5-03 with the latest firmware, and now I managed to free 18MB of the phone memory, but when I try to determine a destination without tolls and with optimized routing for a distance of 300 km between the two cities it always says that the memory is full and to close some applications. When I use the navigation the only thing that is on is the Bluetooth but even when I turn it off it happens the same thing. Sometimes the phone restarts itself.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

1. is it possible to do?
2. How can we do it?

Is there some possibility to navigate towards coordinates instead of an address (street, town and s.o.)?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my Lumia 1520 (32GB version) I use a 64GB External SD Card for storage of downloaded apps, music, photo's and movies. Recently I downloaded and installed the programms and all the maps for Nokia Here Drive (complete maps of Europe) and CoPilot GSP (with all Europe Maps). I hoped the maps where stored on the SD Card automatically but they are not. I now 'only' have, next to all installed apps, like 2,06GB internal storage space left. I know this could be enough but nonetheless I'm wondering if it is possible to store the maps of both applications on the external SD card rather than on phone storage and if the programms will still work correctly afterwards. On android devices i'm used to that it works like that. The navigation programm is installed on phone memory and the maps are simply stored on the external sd card.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
I've been trying to use the GPS navigation through NOKIA MAPS but it doesn't work, in my phone's screen appears "the license has expired" or something like that. I'd like to know what i've to do to make it work. Because Iv'e heard that tthe GPS navigation in other nokia models is free.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have only 228Mb of 1.86Gb (10%) free on my memory card. The "cities" folder alone contains 1.05Gb (over half of the available memory). This seems to be a ridiculous amount of memory to be consumed by just one application. I read in another topic that someone was getting "memory full" error messages when trying to download Ovi Maps, and the solution was to delete the "cities" folder prior to downloading /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Not-able-to-download-OVI-maps/m-p/883467#M83039 . Should I also delete the "cities" folder
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to download MAPS 3.0 onto my N900 via Nokia PC Suite. The instructions tell me to connect my phone via USB in Mass Storage Mode but MAPS 3.0 tells me to connect it in PC Suite mode. When I do this, I get a flashing message saying 'waiting for phone'.
I've tried connecting in both mass storage and PC Suite but the flashing message remains and I am getting frustrated as this is supposed to be easy to complete!
Today I decided to install the latest maps available in ovi suite. When I install them I get an error "disc C full", it wants me to remove files to make space available. The thing is, that I now have 20.9MB of free memory there, so I doubt that it can really be insufficient. I think it's rather a bug. I would normally deinstall previous version and install the new one, but since I need this navigation, I can't risk that after deinstalling old one new program won't install anyways. So, any suggestions on what to do? There's nothing left to remove from phone memory.
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan anyone offer some advice that might allow me to re-install Ovi Maps on my N78. It was working fine until yesterday when I tried to install version 3.03 to get free drive and walk navigation. OK - I know the N78 is not listed as a supported device but I thought it was worth a crack. At the end of the day I have no functioning maps on the phone. I have downloaded the correct Ovi Maps 3.01 for my phone (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS) but when I try to run this (by double clicking file on PC with phone connected in PC Suite mode) it does not work. I get an error message on the phone to say the file is not supported and a message on the PC saying N78 does not support SIS files. My next attempt was to restore using Ovi Suite to a backup I did yesterday before I started to play with it. This has not worked.Any ideas? Do I need to try an earlier version of Nokia or Ovi maps? Phone is updated with latest software version 30.011.

Nokia Maps 9MB

Are they supposed to be both there? Shouldn't the Nokia Maps application have been overwritten when updated to Ovi Maps? Can I manually remove the Nokia Maps application to free these 9MB of C: memory?
