Jun 14, 2015I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.

Jun 7, 2010how can I get rid of the screen saver (blue and white things floating across the screen)? I just want to have date and time displayed, nothing else. I tried this:
Menu -> Settings -> Themes -> Power saver -> Date. but it doesn't work as expected.
After about fifteen (15) seconds of not touching the phone, date and time are displayed. Fine. After another fifty (50) seconds the blue and white floating things appear. What is the right setting to get rid of any animations?

Jan 7, 2012If marathon mode is set and screen timeout is set after you power down the unit and then power it up again it keep marathon mode set but looses the screen timeout selection. You have to go in and set screen timeout again before you start the run. I think this is a bug. I saw someone mention it in another posting. I wanted to bubble it to separate thread so a Moto eng could see it and hopefully fix it in the next firmware release.

May 10, 2010I have just bought a Nokia 6700 Slide and I'm quite satisfied but I have a little problem with it :
I had a lot of Nokia and on each one, you had the possibility to put the date and hour as a screen saver. But with my Nokia 6700 Slide, I just don't find the way to configure it. On the stand-by mode the screen is just black when the keypad is locked.
I went back to the shop where i bought it, the guy tried to configure it and he couldn't so he decided to change the mobile phone by a new one because he said all the nokia mobile phones do it so it's a bug. But with the new one, it's the same problem, the seller configured the 6700 slide with the "date" screen saver and nothing except black screen. I went back home and install 2 another free screen saver : cClcok and Largetime and it is the same ! black screen !
So I called nokia hot line and they could'nt help me because this phone is too recent, they hadn't one at this moment to try...

2) Power-Saving mode doesn't really make sense unless it is customisable... I am on a 3G only network, power-saving enables GSM-only... see the flaw?

Jul 26, 2011Most of my family owns Motorola Atrix phones, so we bought the lapdock to use with all of them about a week ago. It's worked perfectly so far, but today when we put any phone into the dock and open the screen all that appears is the Motorola logo bouncing around the screen like a screensaver. It doesn't respond to pushing any buttons on the keyboard, or sliding across the trackpad like a normal screensaver. We have tried removing the phones, unplugging the lapdock, plugging it back in and putting a diferent phone in, but the same thing happens.

Enough to put anyone in a great mood.Fixing the screen isn't the problem though. 02 have agreed to fix it for me, for a small fee, but they have confirmed that the whole phone will be flashed before hand. Understandably this is to ensure absolutle security to your sh** but I can't help wondering why samsung didn't install an option that allows you to unlock the phone from your computer. really need some help figuring out how I can get my sh** back. If anyone knows how to bypass the screen lock or just refresh it. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. I'm not in a great rush since my mum refuses to pay for the fix. and it'll take me a few weeks to save up.i can't unlock the phone because i can't see the screen and i think the touch pad is bust as well.

Jan 26, 2012When it is sat in standby and i recieve a text, the screen lights up as usual for a few seconds then dims to turn off again but doesnt turn off, causing my screen to stay on and the phone to run flat in under 4 hours. If I try to use the lock button when this is happening the phone will freeze.
I have also updated to the latest version to try and stop this but it didnt help.

Jul 15, 2012Hi,where my SGS2 isn't always registering my touch. It might take 2-3 presses to start up an application. I have searched and there seems to be some general touch issues but I can't tell if this is something that can be fixed by software or not? For example, running MultiTouch Tester, I can touch the screen really fast 10 different places (this is important I think), and the phone will only detect 7/10 presses on avg. I don't recall having so many touch problems before ICS?
