I have searched the forums. but So far Unable to find an answer but I am trying to remove that tab that links to shortcuts and media thing that is on the front wallpaper. Anyone successfully remove it?

Excuse me if there is already a topic on this, I haven't searched. But does anyone know if the media bar on this phone can be customised? By that I mean can I add to or remove shortcuts?

If I'm at the home-screen, menu, blackberry messenger or any other screen besides the "playing media" screen, I can't change songs, volume and pause/play. I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks, how to enable the shortcuts (the side-buttons) no matter what's on your screen?

I'vw removed two of the apps but the Ovi Store Client remains persistently stubborn and is immediately re-installed with the "securewidgetinstaller". And that Ovi tab under contacts i'd like to see that gone too.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.

I have only just purchased the phone this week, and chose it mainly on looks - I just use a mobile for texting and calls, so I go for a basic phone with good looks.
Because of some initial problems with the software I was advised to update the firmware, but on no account did I ask for this horrible green swipe thing! I just want my inoffensive little grey unlock button back!

I'm following the manual procedure to remove PTT as described in several threads such as "how-uninstall-push-talk-82057" Works great. But the next time I use Desktop Manager to add or remove an application it reloads the whole suite of device software as well. This is a pain because I have to re-register all my apps and do a bunch of other housekeeping but it also brings PTT back.
Any idea what is causing this? I am using DM 5.0.1

Songs that I know I've downloaded show up with the little cloud icon thing and I have to download them again.
- I buy new music from iTunes
- It downloads on my phone
- I go do something else
- I want to listen to the music again
- I try to re download it
- I don't have space
The thing is way overzealous in its deletion.
This morning, I was listening to an album I had downloaded less than an hour before. I paused to watch a video in my photo library (less than a minute long).
I pressed play to resume the music. Music gone.
Later, I redownload the music. Right after it finished downloading, it alerts me that storage is almost full. Music gone.Â
I really want to turn this feature off. Music is one of the last things I would want to remove from my phone.

I'm only new here so play nice! I got a new E52 last week. Problem is there is 2 icons on the home screen that I can't get rid of. One is a flashing mail icon ( I used to get this when my E51 inbox was full) and the other is showing the icon that a mail was pending being sent - ie in my outbox. Thing is, there is nothing in any outbox. Can anybody help me get rid of these 2 icons please?

All my contacts, settings etc were backed up in my 2GB SD card (which came along with the phone) using the back up and restore software within the phone. Recently my phone's earspeaker was not functioning and i took it to the service centre for repair( it was within the warranty period) where they removed the SD card without unmounting and gave it to me. After the repair when i inserted my Sd card it wont work. My phone says "SD card removed. Insert a new one." It would recognise any other card except mine. it is not working on my computer either (computer doesn't recognise it at all). I have all my Contacts and other files in it.

I have to click on it for each message that goes out. Is there any possible way to change the limit? I know you used to be able to set it to anything you want in settings/security but it's not there anymore.
