The dedicated media key on my new X6 16gb (firmware v12.0.091) suddenly stopped working. When I press it ,still get vibration feedback to indicate a key press has occurred but the pop down menu no longer appears. Can't link it to an specific event. Was working originally, now it isn't.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe mobile was in my jeans when i was in class. Then i pulled it out afterwards. The touch screen wasn't working. But all the other keys are working fine. I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. Now i really wanna get my precious data out of the mass memory. The phone memo doesn't matter since i got backup.

It is my first time to by a nokia touch screen phone and now the touch screen is not working any more. I tried to update the software to version 6.but no change. I feel robbed by nokia as I wasted my money on this phone. Now I can not unlock the phone, I have to switch off the phone and I cant type or save a number,I cant view missed calls and messages. I have send it to techinicians but all the touch screens they tried did not work It records 3gp video files only not mpeg4?

I took it back to MTNSP and they told me it cannot be fixed and they gave me a new handset.
The new handset: Now its a new problem, everytime I download software from Ovi, it start hanging, touchscreen not working. I switch it off and on again and it works for about 30 seconds and hangs/freezes. It does this everytime. I tried to delete the programs again but it keeps on doing the same thing. I tried to scan with antivirus program but still no solution
Backed up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

I'm thinking about some verbose information when symbian is booting ? Or some boot logs after boot ?If not, i'd like to say that it is very sad, because i'll never bye again nokia handset ever.

Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my Nokia X3-02 in 2011. It worked well for 11 months and in the 12th month, its touchscreen stopped working. It was under warranty so I went to Nokia service centre and they changed the Touch screen Digitizer.It worked well for few days and meanwhile its warranty expired. Now it has the same problem and the touch screen doesn't work at all. So, I put the phone back to the phone and started using my other phone.after 2-3 days, I thought that I should take the phone to the service centre, so removed the batter and inserted the SIM card. I started the phone and touch screen was working fine. I thought, I am lucky as the touch screen is working now. But after few hours probably 3-4, the touch screen stopped working again. Quite weird behaviour.So, if i put the phone to off for around 1 day and starts using it again then the touch works and after few hours it stops working again. I went to service centre again and they said, they would firstly change the touch screen ( price INR 1500) and after that they could comment on the phone's behaviour.
UPDATE: I have updated the phone firmware to latest one. Touch works even after 5 hours but not the exact point of contact.. When i try to press Menu, it always activates the Address/exit button, so the wherever you touch it activates the right side of the area.
I have a Nokia X7-00. Sometimes after receiving a call, the touch screen doesn't work at all. I can not do anything on that apart from pressing the main button. I can not even switch that off and if I plug it in to the charger, still the mobile doesn't get charged. Today something weired happened like that, and i removed the SIM still that mobile is ringing and ringing as I cant do anything on the touch screen. Another problem is that, the headset is not working anymore to listen music or to receive call through that, It happened after the Belle update.My main concern is about the Touch screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an X8 that was repaired a few months ago due to a cracked screen.Yesterday the touch screen stopped working, the screen still displays everything it should and the menu, camera, lock and volume buttons work fine, but touching the screen does nothing which makes doing anything with the phone impossible.I've switched it on and off many times, including holding the power button until I get 3 vibrations and no luck. I've fully charged the phone and tested it whilst it's charging.I don't think there's been any damage, but it could have taken a knock whilst being in my pocket.

Neither of these did a format on my E: on the 16GB memory. All my pictures and music are still on the phone. How do i format the memory? Everywhere i've read it says that the hard reset deletes all files, but it didn't.

When I plug the charger in it comes up with the white screen with NOKIA but the battery charging animation isn't there, and when I try turning the phone on the same white screen with NOKIA comes on but it stays on that screen until I take the battery out.

An app update may be available" is presented. I have attempted to update the app via QR but am presented with the message "share." I have done few soft resets but the problem persists. I have asked for help in other forums, but the issue remains. Is it possible that a future "display+touch" update may solve the problem? In lieu of that, can someone offer another suggestion? I would hate to do a hard reset and end up with a "bricked" phone.

Or to set them to trigger something rather harmeless. My father doesn't use them that much. Besides, he finds himself pressing them too easily and oops there it goes the radio blasting through the loudspeaker.

But the screen stays black. I try pressing the power button but nothing. Take out the battery and leave it out for a while then but it back in. Press the power button, phone vibrates, the three lights come on but the screen stays black. I have not yet tried the four finger reset method although I guess I might have to.Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be.

I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.

Don't know if it happened also on the previous firmware because, as i sayd it, the fone is new and i also noticed that just a few days ago after updating the firmware.
