i have nokia x6 16 gb with me..it has software version 20.7 installed,,, i tried to update it to version 40 that came at last,,, but nokia suite says version 20.7 is the latest firmware version for x6....why i can't update it to version 40? what's matter with it?? i'm in sri lanka.. i brought my nokia from south korea..

I've just used Ovi Suite to install the update v20.0.005 to my X6 16gb and now the phone keeps restarting. Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

I've attempted over 10 times to update my e71's firmware from version 200.x.x to 400.x.x and everytime the phone restarts about a minute into the update and NSU instructs me to re-establish the connection by removing the battery etc. The phone reboots by itself even if I do not remove the battery. upon clicking 'retry' the update fails again a minute into the process. I'm using NSU version 1.8.10en.Is there anything I could try to update the phone successfully?

I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).

View 19 Replies View RelatedHi guys, I'm having problem with my memory card after I updated to version 50 formware. After installating version 50, everthing works file. But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?

But the website says new version for the 16GB available: "Blur_Version.4.56.76.Motorola-F100.Retail.en.US"

After updating to firmware version 40, I have a freezing video problem.When I play video file (.mp4), it starts playing as always but after a while image freezes but sound continues playing. No way forwarding video, the freezed image is always there but sound plays normally.I have Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, firmware version 40.2.005.263.04.Everything else is working correctly in the phone after update to 40 firmware.Is it a problem that could be solved?

2. The unit is currently with 4.54.61, according to the forum there is an update that was released in early Jan. When I try to update using the update feature in the motocast USB software I get a message that there is no available update and the unit has the latest firmware. how or where to get the update?
Backed up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.
