Jul 4, 2011I have a pre-installed firmware 32.0.002. According to Nokia the new firmware is available but when I update ovi suite tells me that no updates are available.

Jan 6, 2012I just did the last firmware update on my X3-02, it seemed to have gone fine but I'm unable the restore the parameters I previously saved. It starts alright, but stops in the middle of the process claiming it has connection problems, and advising that I restart my device and try again (which I did of course). Is it a known problem? Is there a way to restore my content?

Jul 24, 2011After updating the firmware (V31.0.004) on my X6 and then restoring the back up file, none of my games work anymore. The games are still there for me to select but will not open. When I try to get the games from the Ovi Store again a message says that the link has been sent to my phone but I don't receive it.

Jan 6, 2012I'm suffering from memory problems with my Nokia X6 16 Gb recently, specially after the installation of the last version of whatsapp, with emoticons. I can't hardly use Nokia Maps and whatsapp at the same time. I had to uninstall whatsapp during the last trip I was using Nokia Maps.
My actual firmware (Orange, in Spain) is v31.0.004, and I cannot upgrade dialing *#0000# in the phone (appears "No updates available"). Anyone knows how can I upgrade to the last firmware version, v40, for this mobile? I hope the new firmware would be able to solve the memory issues
Xseries :: Updated X3-02 Firmware To 5.65?
May 26, 2011I updated the firmware on my X3-02 following to the letter the instructions as supplied on the website and through Ovi PC Suite. Now everytime I switch off my phone any settings I've made are lost. This includes everything from time and date through to shortcuts specified in the "Go To" drop down menu.
Also now I cannot apply any themes, it doesn't know what kind of files are on the handset. Loads of applications have been lost. It no longer supports chat, facebook etc. In other words it's pretty buggered. Luckily it still makes and receives calls and SMS.I made a backup before I did the upgrade, but if I restore the handset from that backup all it gives me is the same problems with all my original files, contacts etc.
And if I try to update the firmware to Version 6 through PC OVI Suite it tells me that there are no updates available and that beingt 5.65 is up to date. Same problem with stand alone OVI software updater.An if I try to update by going through the menu on the handset, I cannot enter details for OVI to make a connection.It's really frustrating to say the least. Any body out there "NOKIA" HINT HINT.It's on Orange UK network PAYG.

Dec 18, 2011What's the best way to erase absolutely everything from the phone, including firmware? I would plug it into Nokia Suite once that's done, and download the latest version of the handset's firmware. After having tinkered with it for a couple of years now, downloaded and then deleted various apps, I find that it's running a bit slower, and whenever I check for software updates, I only ever get the same four, which I've been offered now for over 6 months without any change. I suspect that the phone's update facility isn't working properly.

This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.

Jun 9, 2010I wanted to intsall Mail For Exchange, and the Nokia E72 NAM doesnt seem to have it when I bought it (unless you can direct me to it). I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).

Apr 6, 201022.007 has been out since forever, and it's basically only the second update since this phone was introduced. Has Nokia forgotten the E72? It sure needs a firmware update:
-Little available memory, applications (especially the browser with a big website) terminate for nothing and "memory full" messages occur very frequently. This is actually the biggest issue.
-The camera application sometimes is quite buggy and even the phone restarts after a photo is taken.
-videos have some lag, especially if you zoom while shooting and using the phone memory doesn't help very much.
-sometimes (especially in the ovi store app) if you start typing in a box the first two letters appear in the opposite order than typed.
-The gallery application can't be terminated using the app manager (by pressing the home button for a couple of seconds) when the app is hidden.
-The trackpad sensitivity could be improved (especially when using it in the browser).

Mar 14, 2010I'm currently running firmware version 20.2.019 and when I put my phone's info (RM-507, product code 0576111) into Nokia's website it tells me V21.2.045 is available. However, when I try to download the firmware via OTA or NSU, it tells me no updates are available. What would be preventing me from updating the firmware? Is there another way to download it or is my only option sending the phone to Nokia?

It has rendered the music player almost unusable!
With the previous music player, you could press the "Back" button and it would take you to your list of music or podcasts. Now the "Back" button just dumps you all the way out to the phone's home screen (just like the end button.) Now, in order to go to your playlist you have to "options", "go to music library", "albums (or podcasts or playlist etc)" then find the album or playlist you were playing, then find your song or track. That's 5 more steps than necessary. The back button is very inportant with the way this media player was designed. You can't just eliminate it in such a way. What good is the improved scroling in the music player if you take away our ability to navigete.
This would be such an easy fix. Just make the Music player's "Back" buton do what it used to do instead of duplicating what the "end call" button already does.
The media player on a device is very inportant. The one on this device is very ordinary. But i put up with it because I am a loyal and very very patient nokia user. I waited 8 long months for this update. And now you just took my media player away. You are very close to making a 12 year nokia user switch to Android. Nokia, please give me back my "back" button. and don't make me wait a long time for it.

Jan 24, 2010i was trying to update the firmware on my vx9400 (tv phone) and it goes through the entire process and then errors at the end saying "error reading file 'dlc22899.cat' from EFS. the only option is to continue, once done it takes you back to LG downloader upgrade page and nothing happens. I reset the phone and it hasn't upgraded.i followed this procedure and got the files direct from Humpas' site for v03. i also tried to flash v02 to see if it wouldn't error and i still got the error.a google search or HOFO search turns up zero results.
