I've just used Ovi Suite to install the update v20.0.005 to my X6 16gb and now the phone keeps restarting. Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

View 6 Replies View RelatedBacked up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

Even then it keeps restarting all the time. I am a regular Nokia Mobile phone user for many years with varieties of Nokia Phones, but this phone really made me desperate. When I goto the salesman, he asked me to goto service centre. And it started eating lot of my time running behing this problem between service centre and shop. Service centre says they can't do anything on this restart problem. I paid almost 8000 Indian rupees for this phone. Local chinese mobiles abailable in market are found more reliable atleast for the first fre years.

Repaired the software on PC companion while the memory card is mounted (Hence phone doesn't restart when it's mounted by the PC). Still no Joy with it. If I use the original 2GB one it does work no problem. Tried the memory card in a different phone and it works straight away.

Neither of these did a format on my E: on the 16GB memory. All my pictures and music are still on the phone. How do i format the memory? When I plug the charger in it comes up with the white screen with NOKIA but the battery charging animation isn't there, and when I try turning the phone on the same white screen with NOKIA comes on but it stays on that screen until I take the battery out.

But the screen stays black. I try pressing the power button but nothing. Take out the battery and leave it out for a while then but it back in. Press the power button, phone vibrates, the three lights come on but the screen stays black. I have not yet tried the four finger reset method although I guess I might have to.Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be.

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. View 1 Replies View Relatedmy n900 restarts everytime it goes to sleep wether it times out or i use the slide lock thing, i have flashed the firmware with the newest and the oldest ones using the NSU and the flasher util, I have also flashed the emmc.The code when using terminal with cat /proc/bootreason is 32wd_to everytime. The only time it doesnt reboot is when I have media player open playing a song in which case it work as it is suppoed to. I can use the device for hours without a reboot aslong as I dont let it go to sleep.
