I've just used Ovi Suite to install the update v20.0.005 to my X6 16gb and now the phone keeps restarting. Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI got a new memory card 16GB that just keeps restarting the phone every minute or two. I formated it already. Repaired the software on PC companion while the memory card is mounted (Hence phone doesn't restart when it's mounted by the PC). Still no Joy with it. If I use the original 2GB one it does work no problem. Tried the memory card in a different phone and it works straight away.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy n900 restarts everytime it goes to sleep wether it times out or i use the slide lock thing, i have flashed the firmware with the newest and the oldest ones using the NSU and the flasher util, I have also flashed the emmc.The code when using terminal with cat /proc/bootreason is 32wd_to everytime. The only time it doesnt reboot is when I have media player open playing a song in which case it work as it is suppoed to. I can use the device for hours without a reboot aslong as I dont let it go to sleep.

However, after that the phone started behaving abnormally and it is getting restarted automatically. I just got a 16gb unit, got it installed to my pc, but having the following problems
2. The unit is currently with 4.54.61, according to the forum there is an update that was released in early Jan. When I try to update using the update feature in the motocast USB software I get a message that there is no available update and the unit has the latest firmware. how or where to get the update?

I updated my brother phone to ics from 2 weeks ago and since then the phone got so laggy and slow the phone got 5-6 sec to open and it restart on its own alot. So I did a master rest and deleted everything on the phone or sd card. The phone got better and faster but again it did restart on its own even without doing heavy function on it. So I moved on and did a software repair from the pc companion .. but still the phone restart and just freeze on its own.

The problem is it worked fine the first time I used it but did take a while to lock on a signal, every time I have used it since (or tried to use it I should say) it has either crashed the whole phone or just gone back to home screen closing the app.
I have tried turning agps, network etc off with no luck.
I have stored movies and music video in X6. I converted them into mp4 format using xilisoft ultimate converter specifying the output format as blackberry mp4 320 X 240. So i converted one movie of 698 mb avi and its output is coming to 506 mb with 128 bitrate audio.. is there any other software to convert and reduce the file size? can nokia ovi suite convert videos?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a new x6 and am havin gproblems with the many things, but mainly bluetooth with my car audio. It worked fine with my previous nokia 6500 slide so it can't be the audio system or the way I set it up.
Whe I first set up the pairing all is fine. It connects automatically etc. But if while the bluetooth is connected I browse the phone, say with texting or navigation, the bluetooth dissconnects and will not re-connect. Sometimes, if I turn the phone off and on it may start to connect automatically again. It's a big nuisence and if I get a text while driving the bluetooth will not work anymore.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix? I really like the functions of the phone but it seems to have some major software issues.
After starting the updating setup via Sony PC Companion this program told that at time my PC is preparing (and it will take some time) itself for updating I can disconnect my phone or not, so I disconnected it and then I pluged it in again. Phone started to update (it turned off and started updating) and suddenly communique came out telling me that my phone is no longer connected. Sony PC Companion told me to unplug it and restart, after that my phone keeps restarting all the time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem on my x6 , when i go into my sent messages(SMS) and message(SMS) inbox the name on the person is different in the inbox compared to the one in sent messages. And its the same person, just different name in the sent messages folder. But if i connect my phone to my computer and view the messages in nokia suite the name is the same, but not when i view them on my phone.
Is there a way to edit this cus it kinda annoys abit that its different.The name was the same earlier but not suddenly it changed and i dont know why.And yes i have tried something simple like turning the phone on and off.And i have another question, is there a way to store more than 999 messages ?
