i have problem with my nokia x6 that i purchased last week. whenever i try and make a call, there is a constant beeping coming from the handset, also if i try and change the volume it goes either all the way down (if i press down volume key) or all the way up (if i press up volume key).
View 12 RepliesMy iPhone 5 screen has been cracked for a few weeks but worked fine. Yesterday the screen went black but Siri still worked. When I plugged it in to charge, it started beeping as if i were constantly unplugging it then plugging it back in. At first the screen would light up even though it was black but now the screen wont light up at all. I ordered a new screen to replace it but now I am thinking that it is more than the screen. I plugged it in to my computer and it doesn't recognize it at all. Use the same cord to plug it back in to the wall and it starts beeping again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBacked up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

I'm thinking about some verbose information when symbian is booting ? Or some boot logs after boot ?If not, i'd like to say that it is very sad, because i'll never bye again nokia handset ever.

Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

Neither of these did a format on my E: on the 16GB memory. All my pictures and music are still on the phone. How do i format the memory? Everywhere i've read it says that the hard reset deletes all files, but it didn't.

When I plug the charger in it comes up with the white screen with NOKIA but the battery charging animation isn't there, and when I try turning the phone on the same white screen with NOKIA comes on but it stays on that screen until I take the battery out.

But the screen stays black. I try pressing the power button but nothing. Take out the battery and leave it out for a while then but it back in. Press the power button, phone vibrates, the three lights come on but the screen stays black. I have not yet tried the four finger reset method although I guess I might have to.Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be.

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. View 7 Replies View RelatedThis problems appeared 2 weeks ago when I called my friend and he didn't answer my call - what usually happens is a loud short beep and the call is ended - but this time the phone continue beeping and I had to press "End call" to stop the beeping and that continued to happen since then. I tried to restart, remove the battery but the problem persists. I'm not ready to hard reset my phone or to reinstall the os to solve that problem.

I want to get the phone again, but only when the problem has been properly fixed by Nokia.Does anyone know if the latest firmware update (PR1.1) has fixed this problem? One other question. Is it possible to turn the phone completly silent and only have the vibrate function on? I turned the phone profile to silent and turned the volume down on everything, but it was still making noises when the screen was pressed.

The problem is it worked fine the first time I used it but did take a while to lock on a signal, every time I have used it since (or tried to use it I should say) it has either crashed the whole phone or just gone back to home screen closing the app.
I have tried turning agps, network etc off with no luck.
I have stored movies and music video in X6. I converted them into mp4 format using xilisoft ultimate converter specifying the output format as blackberry mp4 320 X 240. So i converted one movie of 698 mb avi and its output is coming to 506 mb with 128 bitrate audio.. is there any other software to convert and reduce the file size? can nokia ovi suite convert videos?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a new x6 and am havin gproblems with the many things, but mainly bluetooth with my car audio. It worked fine with my previous nokia 6500 slide so it can't be the audio system or the way I set it up.
Whe I first set up the pairing all is fine. It connects automatically etc. But if while the bluetooth is connected I browse the phone, say with texting or navigation, the bluetooth dissconnects and will not re-connect. Sometimes, if I turn the phone off and on it may start to connect automatically again. It's a big nuisence and if I get a text while driving the bluetooth will not work anymore.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix? I really like the functions of the phone but it seems to have some major software issues.
As above on o2 had it almost a month now, had a few freezes in the first week but were few and far between. In the last week or 2 though they have been getting progressively more and more and now in the last couple of days have also been joined by random reboots.
I haven't been able to trace them to any installed app as they happen completely randomly, it also seems to be independent of any connectivity setting. o2 will exchange the phone for me but I can't make it crash to prove to them its faulty, if indeed it is.. Have looked on the site but can't find anyone with similar problems or any indication of what it may be.
I have a problem on my x6 , when i go into my sent messages(SMS) and message(SMS) inbox the name on the person is different in the inbox compared to the one in sent messages. And its the same person, just different name in the sent messages folder. But if i connect my phone to my computer and view the messages in nokia suite the name is the same, but not when i view them on my phone.
Is there a way to edit this cus it kinda annoys abit that its different.The name was the same earlier but not suddenly it changed and i dont know why.And yes i have tried something simple like turning the phone on and off.And i have another question, is there a way to store more than 999 messages ?
