I bought an X6 16GB less than a month ago and today the battery died, and it won't charge or turn on. When I plug the charger in it comes up with the white screen with NOKIA but the battery charging animation isn't there, and when I try turning the phone on the same white screen with NOKIA comes on but it stays on that screen until I take the battery out.

Backed up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

Neither of these did a format on my E: on the 16GB memory. All my pictures and music are still on the phone. How do i format the memory? Everywhere i've read it says that the hard reset deletes all files, but it didn't.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got a problem with my X6. When I switch it on the phone vibrates and the three lights at the bottom of the phone come on. ( the call, menu and end keys). But the screen stays black. I try pressing the power button but nothing. Take out the battery and leave it out for a while then but it back in. Press the power button, phone vibrates, the three lights come on but the screen stays black. I have not yet tried the four finger reset method although I guess I might have to.Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be.

Don't know if it happened also on the previous firmware because, as i sayd it, the fone is new and i also noticed that just a few days ago after updating the firmware.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi'd like to ask about this White Screen of Death problem with N X6.I read several posts across the network ( including this forum ) about the problem with s60v5 phones freeze at boot, but provided solution is extremely silly - reset the handset with bunch of commands or pressed keys.Is there another solution about this behaviour ?Can we debug what is going on, with some program ? I'm thinking about some verbose information when symbian is booting ? Or some boot logs after boot ?If not, i'd like to say that it is very sad, because i'll never bye again nokia handset ever.

Before I installed the update, I did a back up of my phone contents. Now, after the update I can't restore the backup because the phone keeps restarting. My Ovi Suite is the latest version (v2.1.1.1). Is this a known issue and when will Nokia be releasing a patch for this update to fix the issue?

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. Now i really wanna get my precious data out of the mass memory. The phone memo doesn't matter since i got backup.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my X6 16GB for just over a year on a contract with O2, now I've not really had any problems with it, few bugs etc but nothing major. Recently out of the blue however it's decided it doesn't want to charge, the phone will show the charging indicator when the charger is plugged in however it will not charge the battery, then the battery will completely drain and I can no longer power the phone on.
The phone has a 2 year warranty and has just under a year left so it was sent back to O2 who have just said it is "Beyond economical repair" and sent me a broken phone back which is no use to me at all. I've had Nokia's for as long as I can remember but I'm not really quite sure what I'm to do with this one as at the moment it's a useless paper weight.
With both the charger and the USB charging, the screen shows charging, the battery meter runs as if charging, but even after an hour of charging, the charge remains the same and immediately shows low battery
