Xseries :: X3-02 Touch Screen Not Working?
Dec 17, 2012I bought my Nokia X3-02 in 2011. It worked well for 11 months and in the 12th month, its touchscreen stopped working. It was under warranty so I went to Nokia service centre and they changed the Touch screen Digitizer.It worked well for few days and meanwhile its warranty expired. Now it has the same problem and the touch screen doesn't work at all. So, I put the phone back to the phone and started using my other phone.after 2-3 days, I thought that I should take the phone to the service centre, so removed the batter and inserted the SIM card. I started the phone and touch screen was working fine. I thought, I am lucky as the touch screen is working now. But after few hours probably 3-4, the touch screen stopped working again. Quite weird behaviour.So, if i put the phone to off for around 1 day and starts using it again then the touch works and after few hours it stops working again. I went to service centre again and they said, they would firstly change the touch screen ( price INR 1500) and after that they could comment on the phone's behaviour.
UPDATE: I have updated the phone firmware to latest one. Touch works even after 5 hours but not the exact point of contact.. When i try to press Menu, it always activates the Address/exit button, so the wherever you touch it activates the right side of the area.

May 20, 2012I have a Nokia X7-00. Sometimes after receiving a call, the touch screen doesn't work at all. I can not do anything on that apart from pressing the main button. I can not even switch that off and if I plug it in to the charger, still the mobile doesn't get charged. Today something weired happened like that, and i removed the SIM still that mobile is ringing and ringing as I cant do anything on the touch screen. Another problem is that, the headset is not working anymore to listen music or to receive call through that, It happened after the Belle update.My main concern is about the Touch screen.

Sep 22, 2011Nokia this time has let me down especially on this phone. They have proven to have failed these touch screen phones. It is my first time to by a nokia touch screen phone and now the touch screen is not working any more. I tried to update the software to version 6.but no change. I feel robbed by nokia as I wasted my money on this phone. Now I can not unlock the phone, I have to switch off the phone and I cant type or save a number,I cant view missed calls and messages. I have send it to techinicians but all the touch screens they tried did not work It records 3gp video files only not mpeg4?

Aug 14, 2012I have an X8 that was repaired a few months ago due to a cracked screen.Yesterday the touch screen stopped working, the screen still displays everything it should and the menu, camera, lock and volume buttons work fine, but touching the screen does nothing which makes doing anything with the phone impossible.I've switched it on and off many times, including holding the power button until I get 3 vibrations and no luck. I've fully charged the phone and tested it whilst it's charging.I don't think there's been any damage, but it could have taken a knock whilst being in my pocket.

Apr 5, 2011I was a proud owner of the Nokia X6 since June 2010 till now recently. Every time I send an SMS or edit a contact, it restart itself. Everytime....
I took it back to MTNSP and they told me it cannot be fixed and they gave me a new handset.
The new handset: Now its a new problem, everytime I download software from Ovi, it start hanging, touchscreen not working. I switch it off and on again and it works for about 30 seconds and hangs/freezes. It does this everytime. I tried to delete the programs again but it keeps on doing the same thing. I tried to scan with antivirus program but still no solution

Mar 22, 2010The dedicated media key on my new X6 16gb (firmware v12.0.091) suddenly stopped working. When I press it ,still get vibration feedback to indicate a key press has occurred but the pop down menu no longer appears. Can't link it to an specific event. Was working originally, now it isn't.

Oct 31, 2011my X6 has just started collecting dust particles under the touch panel, i was wondering, before going to NC , if any of you had this dust issue and what the NC points told you. was it covered by the warranty or you paid the cleaning?also did they just blow air and removed them, or they replaced the screen? i read somewhere that they must replace it due to electric something, i don't remember.

Apr 26, 2011When talking on the screen are activated any keys - the media, the button to turn off the microphone. Sometimes when you dial and put the phone to the ear he cut off talks. Proximity sensor works and the screen fades to where my ear. I do not know how to obtain it but it is very nasty. Version of software after the update is 30.0.003 but the problem remained.

Aug 13, 2011I have a Nokia X3-02. I had a problem with the camera, each time I open it it says "Operation Failed" then goes to standby mode. I tried to restore it to factory settings, didn't work. I connected it to the Ovi Suit to check for updates, is said "There are no updates" and something like "If you are experiencing problems with the current version, you can reinstall it" so I did. I followed the steps, made the backup, waited for a while, then when the reinstall process was done, the touch screen wasn't working anymore, the keypad is working fine, the volume up/down buttons are working, everything is working except the touch screen. Its not responding! I tried to reinstall again. Still the same. I tried to reinstall, without doing a backup.

I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? Jul 26, 2012I use Nokia X2-00 on Vodafone , India. I have a Vodafone Mobile Connect Plan. I had been using Whatsapp without any problem for the past 6 months or so. 2 weeks back, i accidentally deleted the VMC access point.
Since then, i've been facing problems. I have asked the people at Vodafone Customer Care to provide me Settings for VMC. But whatever i do, my Preferred Access Point does not change from Vodafone Live! to Vodafone Mobile Connect. I have even tried creating a Personal Setting with the Account Name as 'www'. But it doesn't help. I am able to set the Default Config Sett. as 'Vodafone Connect' , but the Preferred Access Pt. is always Vodafone Live! I know Whatsapp requires VMC to run, so what can i do to get it back?
