I send out the same text to a group of people quite often and I get a message saying messenger is sending a large amount of messages do you want to allow this? I have to click on it for each message that goes out. Is there any possible way to change the limit? I know you used to be able to set it to anything you want in settings/security but it's not there anymore.
View 2 RepliesHow to disable the data usage warning? I'm aware that I can just set the limit to a ridiculous amount and it will stop going off, but that's not what I'm looking for. I guess I'm just easily annoyed by the fact that there is no setting to turn this off. You can uncheck the box for "set data limit" but that still doesn't get rid of the warning.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been using WhatsApp a lot more than usual lately and there's something that's bothering me. While the screen is off, there's a notification for each message received. So, in case I have someone messaging me 20 times in a row, I will hear the notification tone 20 times. I know some apps limit the number of notifications by time and I'd like to do this with WhatsApp.
Is there some way to do this? To make it clear, I'd like to be able to set an option like "Only ring once for whatever number of messages every 30 seconds".
Is there a way in the stock messaging app, or is there a specific messaging app available in the play store where I could:
Draft a txt and then send to multiple recipients without each recipient being able to see the other? Basically the same thing as sending an email to multiple people via BCC option.
Would be handy for business purposes. I don't care if they see my contact. I just don't want them to see eachothers contact since not everyone I'd send to would know the other (and/or want their contact information shared).
Obviously I could copy and paste the same message to multiple people via individual txt msgs... but being able to send a group txt would be way more efficient.
Switched over to a 6p three weeks ago. Came from ab iPhone. Deactivated iMessage. I send and receive individual texts fine. And send group Texts fine. I don't receive group Texts. Why I don't receive group Texts.

When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings.Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?

Mine blinks once when messages etc com in but that's it,no continuous blinkjng until I read text etc,can this be altered,also I think I read there are APS to set different colours or patterns for notifications ,is this correct ?

I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.

Okay i have a Lg Banter...of course. well my phone can only hold 100 text in the inbox and 50 in the outbox. i have two friends that have the same exact phone and provider as me and they can get over 200 text in inbox and 100 in outbox. on the specs of the phone it says it can get 300. i know that you can never get true limit but i want to know if there is anyway of increasing it by a hack. i already can hack into the filesystem. If anyone wants to know how to get into filesystem of a banter with bitpim just ask and ill gladly tell you. (quite simple of a fix lol)

View 17 Replies View RelatedI realized that after upgrading to WP 8.1 on my Lumia 1520, the play time for sms ringtone was shortened. My customized ringtone would start cutting halfway through around 4 to 5 sec and that bothers me. Right now I have an 8-second ringtone set for my texts but obviously it doesn't play the whole thing. Wihtout wanting to get into a debate about EU regulation or what safe volumes are, how I can cap the volume on my iPhone (iPhone 4, latest OS) to a relatively agreed safe limit? I remember that my older iPod Classic had a handy line that you could set the limit to (related, I think, to the FR/EU regulation).
I have found the slider in Settings>Music on the iPhone, how much I need to dial this down for it to be 'safe'. I intend using my noise cancelling headhone more (so I can hear more of the lower volume music)

I've had the nexus 6 for a little while but just started noticing that while in a group conversation I only receive messages from one person and absolutely nothing from the other. Mostly everyone that I know has an iPhone. I had one as well but I made sure I turned off imessage before I switched to the Nexus.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn my Contacts native Android app I have several categories of groups setup as options that Android Contacts allows you to do. The only problem is, I don't know how to view an entire group together and use it in any useful way. My intention is to be able to view an entire group at once as a list so I can see who is all in there and be able to notice if someone is missing. Also for my business I have a customers group which would be useful to see how many people I have in the list and view everyone to make sure my daily tasks are not leaving anyone out.
I am using a Nexus 5 with OS6.
What I'd like to do:
1. I have a group in my contacts.
2. Send an SMS to that group in hangouts.
What I can do at the moment is write an sms and add people individually. That might be fine if I only want to message a few people, but not if I want to message 10 or so. So how can I select a group? Tbh this is my first android phone, been using an old Nokia 5800 before and there was an option to select groups in the sms app.
Can't find an option to email a group in the gmail app either.
