BB Bold 9700 :: Missing Lock Icon On .593
Apr 25, 2010Switched to .593 and my lock icon is gone. I know I can still use the top left lock/stand by but I always used the lock icon and its missing.Any ideas?

BB Bold 9700 :: Call Log Icon Missing / Way To Remove Visual Voice Mail Icon
Jan 6, 2010I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

Feb 3, 2010my BBM icon is missing i cannot find it any where, when i go to options and applications it shows me that it is installed.i tried uninstalling it and installing it back did not work, rebooting by taking the battery out did not work.
uninstalling then reboot by taking battery out then installing it back again did not work.i am currently running OS 5.0.0.169.

Jun 14, 2010I have downloaded the new version of app world, but I cannot find the icon. I have verified that it is in my application list and have gone through all of my hidden icons. it's not there. Also, I have tried to download app world through the phone and through pc.

Aug 25, 2010My BBM icon disappeared when I upgraded the version to 5.0.1.38. When I checked Options>Applications> Add on>
Blackberry Messenger 5.0.1.38 appears.
My mobile is BB 9700 v5.0.0.351
Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).
I am downloading it now,
(Question 2.) Will that help?
(Question 3.) if YES, How will i do it? Procedures pls..
(Question 4.) Are (BBM version, BB9700 version, BB Device Software) compatible?
BB Bold 9700 :: Application Icon Missing / Way To Reinstall AppWorld
Jul 6, 2010I went out one night and when I woke up I noticed an application icon was missing on my BB. I just now realized that its BB AppWorld that has disappeared and I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. I assume I drunkenly hit some random keys and it vanished but I can't possibly imagine how I have checked all my hidden folders and every thing. My Applications page under Settings lists AppWorld and I have even tried countless battery pulls and deleting AppWorld and reinstalling it.

I can do a search for it and it will be in the results list and, while greyed out, I can use it to lock the device. Jul 4, 2011The Keyboard Lock Icon was on the Home Screen till I installed the updates that were sent to me today on my BB. Now that Icon has disappeared. Checked the Help Section and could only find out how to lock or unlock screen manually. Checked the instruction booklet that came with it....again no help. Searched through the BB Curve Demo online - still nothing about adding back the icon. It was so easy just to push that button and not have to worry about the keys in my pocket or purse.....how do i get it back? If I dont want it back I wont install updates any longer because I found I had ro reset things back the way I wanted them to.....moving icons from folders to home screen etc....please tell me there is a way to get this back....just bought this BB in June and first one i have owned and have come to find it difficult to do without..

May 4, 2010I have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just started it up. I set up synchronization with Outlook and everything went smoothly. The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

Jul 26, 2010I have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it?
