my BBM icon is missing i cannot find it any where, when i go to options and applications it shows me that it is installed.i tried uninstalling it and installing it back did not work, rebooting by taking the battery out did not work.
uninstalling then reboot by taking battery out then installing it back again did not work.i am currently running OS 5.0.0.169.
I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

Blackberry Messenger 5.0.1.38 appears.
My mobile is BB 9700 v5.0.0.351
Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).
I am downloading it now,

I went out one night and when I woke up I noticed an application icon was missing on my BB. I just now realized that its BB AppWorld that has disappeared and I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. I assume I drunkenly hit some random keys and it vanished but I can't possibly imagine how I have checked all my hidden folders and every thing. My Applications page under Settings lists AppWorld and I have even tried countless battery pulls and deleting AppWorld and reinstalling it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just started it up. I set up synchronization with Outlook and everything went smoothly. The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my Download screen either. I could also not find it when doing a search for App World. I re-installed App World from the Blackberry website. I still had the same problem. Then a friend suggested that I un-install App World by Settings: Device: Application Management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the website. And still the problem persists. Do I actually have App World on my phone or not? If I do have it on my phone, how and where do I find the icon - so I can place it on my home screen.

I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.

Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.

It first started when i tried getting on blakberry app world, but it said APN not specified, my blackberry messenger also dissapeared, i tried turning it on and off then took the battery out, but nothing worked and i lost bb app world all together, and is now nowhere to be found. I was able to fix it when it happened before, by going on reset icons, but hasnt worked this time.

For some reason I have lost my Text Messaging Icon. If I look in my Contacts - I am able to select a Contact and then hit Menu and am given the option of "Send a Text Message" - which works.When I receive a text message - the appropriate notification goes off (audible or vibrate), but, there is no indication in the status bar that there is a new text message. If I go into "Contacts" and look at the individual that sent the text message, I can see the conversation in their history. Obviously, with a ton of Contacts, even if I do happen to get the notification, it can be quite the task to figure out where its coming from. I assume that any texts that do not have an associated Contact are just simply gone.
I had an error on my BB 9900 so I had to reinstall the software it did do! Then I installed all my date with Blackberry protect. Now my email is set up and I do receive emails but my icon is not on my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post and I hate to start with a problem but I'm at my witts end with this one. I've searched but couldnt find a similar post about the Bold 9700. For some reason, it does not show missed calls in the call log. I can only see them if I have a missed call at the time, but once I exit the missed call log, I cannot view it until I have another missed call. I do not want them to appear in the messages folder either and the BB9700 does not have an option to View Recent that the 9000 has in call log view.
