After upgrading to 6.0.0.448, the Blackberry Maps icond disappeared. It is not hidden i have checked that.I have also followed the instructions here And downloading the BB maps from this link but it is not there. I cant find it inder downloads or even application folder.
My email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop. At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.
Upgraded my 9300 Curve from OS5 to OS6 but Application Center Icon is missing. The application is listed on the Application Manager but nowhere to be found on the Menu even after trying to show all application icons. Tried to reinstall and wipe the system several times but the problem still persists.
i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon?
I used to have a bb curve 8900 and used bb maps all the time. now I have a bold 9700 and would also like to use my bb maps. For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? How can I get the bb maps icon to appear on my "home screen"? It isn't in any of my other folders either
I have a small problem that a lot of users seem to have with BB 8900. A Blackberry Maps application has been installed on my device (version 4.6.1), but the icon to start it up is missing. I have seen some posts regarding that problem but none of the proposed solutions seem to work, including reinstallation of the application (upon trying I get a message that Blackberry Maps is not compatible with the software I have installed). I have recently updated OS to 4.6.1.231 (platform 4.2.0.108) so my soft is definitely up-to date. I am clueless as to what to do now.
I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
I updated to the new version of BB App World and I have device software 6.0 and now I can no longer find the App World icon but my device lists it as installed.
Each time I download the new app world version 3.1.0.58 I don't see the icon on my bb bold 9650, but the application is listed in the application manager. I have downloaded this version of app world three times in the last three days and each time I've had to go back to the previous 3.1.0.56 version because of this problem!
so this morning my blackberry mssenger icon dissapeared tried rebooting phone but still no luck ...if someone sends me a bb message it shows delivered on there bb , but i dont get any messages ?
I woke up this morning and noticed that my BBM icon, and my Twitter icon are missing. I've tried taking out the battery, and clicking "show all" under the main menu, but neither appear. I've asked frieds to send me a BBM and I don't even receive them.

Switched to .593 and my lock icon is gone. I know I can still use the top left lock/stand by but I always used the lock icon and its missing.Any ideas?
I have downloaded the new version of app world, but I cannot find the icon. I have verified that it is in my application list and have gone through all of my hidden icons. it's not there. Also, I have tried to download app world through the phone and through pc.
I upgraded to Blackberry App World version 4.0.0.63 on my Blackberry Bold 9780 yesterday. After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my Download screen either. I could also not find it when doing a search for App World. I re-installed App World from the Blackberry website. I still had the same problem. Then a friend suggested that I un-install App World by Settings: Device: Application Management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the website. And still the problem persists. Do I actually have App World on my phone or not? If I do have it on my phone, how and where do I find the icon - so I can place it on my home screen.
My icon for Blackberry App World has completely vanished from my 9780 Bold. I have downloaded the software four times and it replaces the other version but the icon is still gone. It is not hidden anywhere. I have tried taking out the battery and that doesn't help either.
My bold 3 9780 text messaging icon is missing. and i cant track back all my sms. I still can send out sms using search or edit recipient but to read previous sms which is not from my contact list is impossible.
I currently have the Bold 9000 and I have the BB Maps already downloaded, but there seems to be no icon visible and I tried searchign through my phone and still cannot find it. Also my provider is AT&T.
this question has been raised by several people, but no matter how much I read I can not find a solution. The problem is raised, but nobody sais: "yes you can do this, by doing this and that," OR "no, you can not do it, it is not possible".I bought a BB 9780 bold in the recent days. I is a used device, I bought it in a GSM store, it was wiped, therefore completely empty. I refreshed OS6 to the latest version, set everything I could, but I can not get 2 applications to work:BB Maps and Windows Live Messenger.
Maps is simply missing, no matter how many times I install it, it is installed. I do not have a BIS data plan yet, I use the general data plan from my provider. Unfortuntely I can not get a BIS at the moment, for technical reasons. As I understand t can be a problem of service books. Not having a BIS however, I can not ask my carrier for BB service books.Any solutions, ideas? (here I mention, that I downloaded BB links app, and it shows the maps app, I could even start it, but it is a blank screen, however it proves the app is there, but problem must be with provisions/authorization).
My other problem is Windows live messenger, which runs perfectly, except for not logging in. When I put my login credentials, it sais: "Service not enabled for this handheld." So it is not working, I am sure it is also a question of provisioning.I used to use BB in past, some with an sometimes without BIS, and both applicatioins worked fine on those devices. This leads me to the conclusion, that the issue is a question of settings, not devices or BIS plan availability.
