My bold 3 9780 text messaging icon is missing. and i cant track back all my sms. I still can send out sms using search or edit recipient but to read previous sms which is not from my contact list is impossible.
For some reason I have lost my Text Messaging Icon. If I look in my Contacts - I am able to select a Contact and then hit Menu and am given the option of "Send a Text Message" - which works. When I receive a text message - the appropriate notification goes off (audible or vibrate), but, there is no indication in the status bar that there is a new text message. If I go into "Contacts" and look at the individual that sent the text message, I can see the conversation in their history. Obviously, with a ton of Contacts, even if I do happen to get the notification, it can be quite the task to figure out where its coming from. I assume that any texts that do not have an associated Contact are just simply gone.
I activated my new BB Bold 9700 yesterday and everything was fine until this morning. I plugged my device into my laptop to setup the BB Desktop software and when I unplugged it a short while later, I noticed I no longer had a text messaging icon on my homescreen, or in my tray. I can still recieve/send text messages, but I can't find my inbox anywhere.
Yesterday my messaging icon dissapeared from the menu options on my E72. how to have the icon replaced. I am currently only able to access messaging folders on receipt of a new SMS.
couldn't find anything specific in the forum already so I thought I'd ask. This morning (or at some point during the night) my messaging icon disappeared from the bottom of my home page on my xperia play. I'm just left with the usual media, contacts and phone icons. I tried to manually add it, but I get a message saying 'No room on this home screen'. I don't know how or why this has happened, as he icon was there last night, and at some point in the night it vanished. I don't switch my phone off, so I'm at a loss as to why it could have just disappeared for no apparent reason.
my toddler granddaughter deleted my text message icon. I tried the suggestions that others said worked for them (ie removing the battery to force a reboot while the phone is turned on and trying to unhide the icon). Neither one worked for me. Even doing ALT S doesn't let me look at my text messages.
The text messaging icon on my Curve 8900 just disappeared. I do not have combined email and text messaging, when I reboot I get a message that says error on java or something like that. All my messages have disappeared, I have run diagnostics and can't think of anything elso to do.
I think this has been happening ever since the first release of 8.1. Basically if the phone sleeps while a messaging conversation is open, when I wake and unlock the phone, there will often be random gibberish in the compose field. So if I want to send a message, I first have to erase the gibberish.
idk, it's just weird and annoying and I can't figure out what's causing it. My best guess is that it has something to do with typing in the pin code to unlock the phone... which I just realized I should try and test with and without having to type in the pin.
reinstall my sms text icon which appears to have gone missing? The only way I can currently see if I have received a text is to go into each individual contact name.
I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
I know this question has been asked before but my SMS/Text Message Icon has literally disappeared from my phone. I have rebooted, searched etc and nothing. I had some sort of Java error before this happened.
I haven't found a resolution to my missing text message icon on my BB Torch. It was there a few days ago but it has since disappeared. I read and tried a few things. It doesn't even show up in the menu (device/delete data) after I sync'd. I do receive messages but without notification. Also the character length is only 28 per message (incoming). Outgoing is OK. Contacts are all there.the SMS in the menu there is ticked. Also I do not receive FaceBook notifications.
I've been texting fine from my new 9900 for many days Suddenly, whenever I text anything, all those messages of mine come under one "ME" and all of the reciever's messages are clubbed under their name. It's not showing up like a proper conversation, just two titles (my name and the reciever's name) with all of our texts in order. This is really annoying, and I want it back to how it was - normal.
I did something to my phone (and my wifes) that whenever we send messages to each other, it always makes it a bbm. I personally don't like bbm and would rather have sms texting. What do I need to do to our phones so they go back to sms text? Can I just delete bbm and it will fix itself?
I have sprint as a carrier and my phone doesnt receive text at all from at&t phones at times but mostly from iphones. this is my third blackberry that has had this problem, i for some apparent reason just cant receive any text that are coming from iphones and it just puzzles me why. i can however receive their picture text messages but anything text related i cannot.
Ive tried calling technical support and they help me through some stuff but ultimately i still couldnt receive them. i went into the store and exchanged it several times but it doesnt seem like it matter the same problem keeps on coming up.
I did a forum search for my problem, and couldn't find an answer for my specific issue, which is this:My AT&T 9700 worked great until about a month ago, when it started to freeze while I was text messaging. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order: Battery pull Factory reset, no additional applications Upgraded to the latest AT&T approved OS (5.0.0.602?) Battery pull Factory reset, no additional applications Each time, the problem has recurred. I never have less than 105MB of application memory available. I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?
I have a blackberry bold 9700. All of a sudden ( i'm sure i accidently did something) all my text and email messages a being read aloud. How do i turn this function off??
I updated to the new version of BB App World and I have device software 6.0 and now I can no longer find the App World icon but my device lists it as installed.
Each time I download the new app world version 3.1.0.58 I don't see the icon on my bb bold 9650, but the application is listed in the application manager. I have downloaded this version of app world three times in the last three days and each time I've had to go back to the previous 3.1.0.56 version because of this problem!
