This is my first post and I hate to start with a problem but I'm at my witts end with this one. I've searched but couldnt find a similar post about the Bold 9700. For some reason, it does not show missed calls in the call log. I can only see them if I have a missed call at the time, but once I exit the missed call log, I cannot view it until I have another missed call. I do not want them to appear in the messages folder either and the BB9700 does not have an option to View Recent that the 9000 has in call log view.
On the 9700, when a call is missed, does the led flash?I know of the 3rd party apps and have tried them. I am back to stock and was wondering.I thought it did, but from searching it seems that it doesn't?? Maybe I'm mistaken.It did on my 9000.
What is the fastest way to reach the missed call log from the main menu, im sure on the 8310 you just pressed green and the missed calls where there. they are not on the 9700 i have.
For some odd reason missed calls are not showing on my call log.And for reference I have done the following:
- Checked and searched forums / the web
- Did a battery pull
- Checked application memory, standing strong at 85 MB
- Memory card has 1.8GB As well
- Cleared browser history and other memory 'stuff' just for the sake of it
The problem is old Missed calls are showing, but the new ones aren't. I haven't got the slightest clue why really, and I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
I've recently got a blackerry bold 9700 and the led doent flash when I get a missed call. It flashes for everything else but missed calls. I've tryed eveything and nothing works.
new to blackberry in general. have the bold 9700 and mostly have it on silent so i rely heavily on the red led blinking to signal a missed call. i could have sworn this was always the case cause a vm would generraly acompany the call. the other day the light was green so i thought i was good but in fact i had missed an important call. is this the way it is or is there a setting to have the led blink red with a missed call just like a message.
I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
I did a search and found threads on the led not blinking at all but couldn't find anything about if you can make it blink longer. I thought I remember seeing a setting for this but maybe it was on a different phone. Is there a way to make the missed call led blink longer?
what settings do i need to change to avoid the black screen (or the watch during usb charging) and keep my screen highlighted when i have a missed call or text message?
I recently got a 9900 and have an issue every week to two weeks when I miss a call. The missed call for some reason deletes all of my email from my 3 email accounts. All that is viewable in my email is the missed call list. I remove the battery from my device and this resets the email.
My call log (Bold 9000) has recently started only logging missed calls.There is no record of received or dialed numbers.I'm sure I didn't change anything to make it start doing this.I have tried going into Options, Call Logging and ensuring 'none' is selected for showing in the Message List.Is there a fix for this?
I am new to Blackberry and I have some questions about my 9700. I have tried looking to see if this has been posted but I didn’t see anything. I recently installed the .602 OS and did the battery pull and all that hoping it would fix the problem but it hasn’t. The problem is when I miss a phone call and receive a voice mail. I do have the visual voice mail set up and to my knowledge that works fine. The visual voice mail alert popup shows up first and when I go to play the VM, it starts playing and then the missed call alert popup shows up on top of VM. I can either open the missed call to view it or dismiss it. If I open it, I can’t do anything to the VW since it is still going or not going anymore in background and if I dismiss the missed call, I have to go back a view the missed call in the call log to get the icon to go away. Also, once everything is done, my SMS & MMS folder opens up for no reason that I am aware of. Is this normal for everyone’s phone? If not, do I have a setting wrong that I am not aware of? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Got the new Bold 9700. The little yellow envelope will not disappear at all! I've checked the missed calls, inbox messages and emails etc. I've done battery pulls and that does the trick but it keeps coming back.
I was facing the problem of contacts & call log after updating the 2.1(multitouch update). My call log doesn't record the incoming, outgoing and missed call. Sometimes it records and sometimes it doesn't.
I have got liveview and can read texts, emails and see who is phoning me and my missed calls but I expected to be able to phone people from it via my blue tooth head set. Is this possible or am I asking too much?
Is there any way to configure your blackberry so that it sends a missed all notice/phone number or sends the voice mail message if the caller leaves one to outlook.
I have been Upgraded my BB 9700 device with OS 6 recently.
After installing I have some problems like - While on call the options (Spkr, Mute, Hold, Add Participant) on the screen are being disappeared and some times the screen get struck-up for long time without any response.
And to resolve the above problems temporarily I am hard rebooting mobile. Just now I removed OS and reinstalled OS 6 to fix this problem, hope it will fix those bugs.
I have had my blackberry for nearly 8 months now, and i have had nothing but trouble with it. It first started when i tried getting on blakberry app world, but it said APN not specified, my blackberry messenger also dissapeared, i tried turning it on and off then took the battery out, but nothing worked and i lost bb app world all together, and is now nowhere to be found. I was able to fix it when it happened before, by going on reset icons, but hasnt worked this time.
Using 9700 on Vodafone UK - Software Version 5.0.0.423..This has happened a few times now. At first I thought it was just me not reading the screen properly. And it only happens now and again.
What happens is that sometimes when I get a call the screen shows the last callers details as if they were ringing again - but it is someone else.When I hang up the call or if I miss the call - the details then show the correct persons details - weird.
If I pull the battery out it all works fine then for a week or two and then starts happening again. It is not a big deal or anything - just a bit strange.
The call forwarding , call waiting function is missing in the blackberry 9930 CDMA **bleep** GSM phone. Anyone knows how to get this function on the phone. It is activated by my wireless service provider but does not show up under call management. I have seen te function option in Bold 9900 but do not see it in 9930.
my BBM icon is missing i cannot find it any where, when i go to options and applications it shows me that it is installed.i tried uninstalling it and installing it back did not work, rebooting by taking the battery out did not work.
uninstalling then reboot by taking battery out then installing it back again did not work.i am currently running OS 5.0.0.169.
I have just purchased a new BB9700 and I am trying to set-up my BES account but the menu is missing in (options, advances options, activated entreprise doesn't exist).Do you know how to enable it ? Is it a firmware problem ?
Switched to .593 and my lock icon is gone. I know I can still use the top left lock/stand by but I always used the lock icon and its missing.Any ideas?
I have downloaded the new version of app world, but I cannot find the icon. I have verified that it is in my application list and have gone through all of my hidden icons. it's not there. Also, I have tried to download app world through the phone and through pc.
I just bought new blackberry bold 9700 , and i did restore from my old blackberry bold at&t carrier.the new bold 9700 carrier is [ZAIN KUWAIT] anyhow i tired to find the folder setting icons and i can't find i did my own setting folder , how can i bring the setting folder back i mean the exactly folder not custom?
I recently got a Bold 9700 a few days ago, an unlocked factory version,I updated with the firmware v5.0.0.593 and for some reason i cant seem to locate the GPS in the Advanced options section to adjust the settings and cant seem to locate it anywhere.I use Vodafone Italia.What could the problem be?
