I did a search and found threads on the led not blinking at all but couldn't find anything about if you can make it blink longer. I thought I remember seeing a setting for this but maybe it was on a different phone. Is there a way to make the missed call led blink longer?
View 4 RepliesMy call log (Bold 9000) has recently started only logging missed calls.There is no record of received or dialed numbers.I'm sure I didn't change anything to make it start doing this.I have tried going into Options, Call Logging and ensuring 'none' is selected for showing in the Message List.Is there a fix for this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm randomly not hearing the sound for incoming texts, even though everything else (visual notifications) work. I wasn't sure about this until today, when I received 10 texts while the Bold was sitting on my desk in a quiet room. 4 of them made no sound; the other 6 did. All in random order. I have the latest AT&T official released OS. Is this a known issue? I've searched this forum, but I'm not a pro here, and haven't found this specific issue.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the Blackberry Bold on the Vodafone UK network.Last week once it became available , I updated to the new 5.0.0.411 S/ware.On the whole I have had no problems , however I have noticed that my battery life is most definitely not as good as before the update.The one thing I have noticed is that my Missed Calls Log has vanished , & I just can't seem to get it back.
On the old s/ware , if I couldn't take a call I just had to then press the green button & there would automatically be a list of that , & all other missed calls.
Now when someone calls & I choose not to take it , if I then press close , however then press the green key to see the log , the missed call log is not there. All that's displayed is the actual Call Log. I agree that the number that called me is there with the missed call symbol next to it , however this is in the complete call log.
How van I retrieve this Missed Call Log only? In my line of work , it is certainly possible that I will legitimately miss calls during the course of the day. It will become very annoying if I can now not view them at a glance.
Why no new email alert (*) on the icon? I have 4 email accounts but one of them doesn't give the new email alert (*) on the icon. Why's that?

View 14 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post and I hate to start with a problem but I'm at my witts end with this one. I've searched but couldnt find a similar post about the Bold 9700. For some reason, it does not show missed calls in the call log. I can only see them if I have a missed call at the time, but once I exit the missed call log, I cannot view it until I have another missed call. I do not want them to appear in the messages folder either and the BB9700 does not have an option to View Recent that the 9000 has in call log view.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some odd reason missed calls are not showing on my call log.And for reference I have done the following:
- Checked and searched forums / the web
- Did a battery pull
- Checked application memory, standing strong at 85 MB
- Memory card has 1.8GB As well
- Cleared browser history and other memory 'stuff' just for the sake of it
The problem is old Missed calls are showing, but the new ones aren't. I haven't got the slightest clue why really, and I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

View 1 Replies View Relatednew to blackberry in general. have the bold 9700 and mostly have it on silent so i rely heavily on the red led blinking to signal a missed call. i could have sworn this was always the case cause a vm would generraly acompany the call. the other day the light was green so i thought i was good but in fact i had missed an important call. is this the way it is or is there a setting to have the led blink red with a missed call just like a message.

I just purchased a Droid Razr M and can not find out how to set the notification alert for messages and missed calls. I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... I would get an audible alert every 2 minutes until I viewed the messge, etc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad the Bold for just over a year, using Telstra in Australia and OS 4.6.0.144. No Facebook, have googlemaps but I exit whenever I use and have removed most apps.
Three times now the phone for no reason has got that hot that even in a holster on my belt, I felt the heat. The unit get's that hot that it drains the entire battery life in approx 5 min. I remove the battery, let it cool completely and then replace. Telstra don't know what the issue is and as it hasn't happened when I take it back, they will not look at it. Using the THB full car kit, the unit generates a lot of heat slow charging in the car kit cradle and on a heavy day I will get 3-4 hours use before flat, or I have to turn it off and let it cool down.
I have to soft reboot the unit evry 2nd day to stop the black wheel of death and the amount of Call Failed has increased to an embarrassing level. I have reported all these to Telstra and they are investigating.
I have since spoken to another user on Telstra with a Bold and upon describing my problems, he recounted a similar problem with his unit. His Telstra rep informed him that there was a problem batch of Bold's in Australia 12-18 months ago that had a known problem. They replaced his free of charge and he has had no such issues since and a massive increase in battery life. I recounted this our corporate Telstra rep to no avail.
We have 17 Bold's in the fleet, of which 11 came at the same time. Of these 11, 7 have the problem as described as above. Is this a common problem and how do I get Telstra to address ?
When I access the call log from the main screen, highlight a call and select view history, the date displays wrong. Even if I just made a call, hang up and view the log, it shows the date as the next day. Example: Made a few calls last night (Mar 08), then had to report date and time; after all calls made, viewed call log to get times and showed calls made on Mar 09. However, if I go to Messages / View Folder / Phone Call Logs, the dates are showed correctly. Any idea why this is?

is the Call Log icon the phone application icon referred to in the owner's manual? The thing is I want to change my ringtone and I cannot for the life of me figure out how.
Another problem, I want to update to OS 5.0 and I cannot clear enough of the Application memory off of the BB to do so. I got it down to where I need to clear 3MB off, and I don't have anymore Apps to Uninstall! Funny how I have 900 MB on my device memory free and 1.8 GB on the media storage, but I can't make anymore room on the Application memory partition! I just want to update the software!
has anyone experienced problems with their call log? It is set for 30 days but when I try to access "Missed Calls", "Received Calls" or "Dialled Numbers" nothing happens. Also when I press the green send key, no previously dialled numbers are shown. If I receive a missed call and press "show" I just get the home screen.
