My ringer won't ring and there is no sound when I receive text messages but if I go into settings to check it all is normal and ringtone will play! I have missed several important calls!!

I have my new phone nokia 3730 since 2 days. But if I miss a call, after 30s, the screen goes black, and I have no alert to inform me. I have to push on a button to see if I have missed a call (of if I have received a SMS).Have you a solution (a configuration?) It is very annoying.

I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... I would get an audible alert every 2 minutes until I viewed the messge, etc.

This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs. This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.

iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1) -- Found 4 Face time calls listed as missed, but I never received any audible alert that a call was attempted When I discovered the missed calls, had my husband call me on Face Time and it rang through properly. The 4 missed calls were all from my daughter, who is listed in my contacts; all came in one after the other (not at different times).

I just upgraded from a 8330 to the 9650. One of my favorite features of the 8330 was the "important calls" exception to the current profile. This was very useful because I work night shift and sleep during the day. I would set my phone to Quite and have my wife and parents listed under important calls because they knew not to call during the day unless it was an emergency.
Well I went to set this up in my new device and was shocked to see that it isn't there. Did RIM move the option somewhere else or is this very useful feature a thing of the past?
Also I don't just want to set a custom ringtone for them that will always override the current profile because sometimes I need my phone to be totally silent (i.e. in meetings). On the 8330 there was a check box that I could turn the exception on and off with.
I received my Blackberry yesterday and still getting used to it after using an iphone for 18 months. However, I still have 1 small problem......
I have set up the important calls under a profile which only my girlfriend can call when I am on nights. However, whatever I do, the phone never rings, even when I have set up important calls only.
I did a search and found threads on the led not blinking at all but couldn't find anything about if you can make it blink longer. I thought I remember seeing a setting for this but maybe it was on a different phone. Is there a way to make the missed call led blink longer?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an iphone 6 and just updated to 8.1.2. When I receive calls my phone will vibrate once. When I look at the screen a green bar on top says "Return to Call," but it will not let me switch over to answer the call. Then the call will appear as a missed call. This happens all of the time when my husband calls and only sometimes when other people call. His number is not blocked and all Do Not Disturb settings are turned off.Â

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4s receives calls but has stopped ringing, hence I keep missing calls. I have checked my settings, the volume is up and it is not set to silent. I have always had the settings so that it rings and vibrates together, itrs just stopped ringing.
I have been back through ring tones and clicked on it and it sounds, the speaker works also. It would seem all announcement tones have stopped announcing be it text, call, message etc etc.

I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS. I have the contacts with their phone numbers in my Contacts database. But when I get a missed call from them, I only see the numbers and not the name of the person who called, in the missed call notification. Only when I click on the number and it starts to dial them, then their names appear.
