How can I retain the HTML format when sending email? In a similar way, I want my emails to go in HTML format from my iPhone. As of now, it goes as text type and I did not like the font. I wanted to go as Arial.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
When sending text from iphone 4, how can I keep it from encapsulating the text in html. I want plain sms texting without the mms html encapsulation...verizon does just that but ATT will not. I do not want the html. How?

Ever since I switched to the new OS 6, I cannot send SMS messages to anybody. Here's the problem:
- I send an SMS to various people with different phones
- Various people tell me they cannot read the message, different phones (Nokia, Android) report getting "message format not supported"
- For some reason, only iPhone users can read my SMS
- Sending MMS works, but not SMS
My phone provider is WIND, and I was wondering if this is due to my provider or the new OS? I can only use BBM for so long lol.
New HTC One M8. Some of my emails state this. I checked the same email on my MAC and it displays fine. So I'm guessing that it is a problem with the email app on the phone and not my provider. I tried to increase the mail size limit, but that didn't work. I don't see any settings for enabling HTML.

The body of the email provides the text/link to the images along with a lot of text I do not understand. I don't even get the links to "get image" or "view image on a web page". I made sure the settings were correct (i.e. enable HTML email, download images automatically) and the issue persisted. Battery pull did not work, deleting and resending service books did not work. Through searches on this forum and others it appears that this is not an isolated problem.Is there a fix that I am not aware of? I am close to wiping the phone clean and going back to OS 4.7, but I like all other features that came with 5.0.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I'm a little underwhelmed with the Gmail application on the Atrix. After coming from an Iphone one of the glaring deficiencies with this mail app is that I cannot resize html email content. I don't see any other options for mail on this phone, am I stuck with this app for mail? Is it part of the MotoBlur suite? I like the MotoBlur messaging tools or not. I want to like it because it seems like a great idea but it also seems a bit too cumbursome and non-intuitive. I'll try it a bit longer to see if it grows on me or not.

View 11 Replies View RelatedAlright, first of all I know everyone is getting sick and tired of the iphone related threads popping up over here. But I have no other choice but to start one — hoping someone will be able to offer me a solution to my problem.
Here's the deal. My wife has the unlimited data plan, since she signed up with Att last year. Currently she has a iPhone 3GS and sees no need to upgrade to the new version.
I on the other hand had been using a paygo T-mobile plan (had been waiting for the iPhone).
Now the thing is she doesn't really use her data and I most definitely could with my shiny new phone (hopefully arriving on June 24th), but am unable to as I don't already have a contract with them.
I know people would suggest to switch the sims when I get the phone, but that's a no-go as the Misses is very attached to her number and does not want to change it (under no condition whatsoever)
So what I need all you guys to tell me is a way to get her number switched over to my contract so I can give her my sim (I'm aware of the sim differences in the two phones and will sort that out.
So any clue how to do this?
I was thinking of porting over her number to a different carrier and then porting it back to a new line on att (though this would mean I lose my preorder).
Though I don't know if I can port over her current ATT number and still maintain the contract. Does ATT allow that. And how difficult do you guys think it would be to port it back to a new connection on ATT.
Also, her number is originally from Wisconsin and now we live in Chicago.
Is there an easier solution?
Why can't ATT just switch the numbers on the contracts?
How do I get the text to automatically return to the next line when it reaches the end of the line on the screen?

I used to have multiple iTunes libraries that I eventually condensed into one, and I somehow cross-synced my iPhone and now it won't sync with any of them. (I get the "this iPhone is synced to another library, would you like to erare the contents and sync with this library" message.) I've tried the trick of copy/pasting the Persistent Library ID, but that doesn't seem to work (unless I'm doing it wrong). I'm A-OK with wiping all the music from the iPhone and loading it all again (if anything I'd prefer to do that now that I've unified my music libraries into one) and all of my contact and calendar items are properly synced with my main laptop. What I'm worried about are the other things on the iPhone (apps, photos, notes, recorded memos, etc.). Especially the apps. If I let iTunes wipe the phone to sync with my new library, will I retain those other items? Or will it wipe everything and I'll lose any apps that I've bought, photos stored on the phone, notes, etc.?

I've been put in charge of setting up email on co-workers iphones.I just recently upgraded to iphone4 and had no problems getting mine set up (AT&T carrier). However, my co-works have switched carriers to Verizon(from AT&T) and I cannot get them to send emails. I've tried cwmx.com....no luck. I set up SMTP:outgoing.verizon.net and it then gave me message that server did not relay. I even set up an vzwmail account.I need to know what SMTP server to use!

Every once in awhile, i will receive my imessages in my email account. Most of the time it will work properly, but those rare occasions it sends the other party's response to my email account and does not show up in the imessage window at all. like it was not even sent. my apple id is based off a regular email account like yahoo, gmail, or hotmail. how can I make it stop doing this? I want to be able to communicate properly and use my other idevices too. please help... would it just be better to start a whole new apple id with just a specific email acct desginated just for that?
