Please could someone help me! When sending messages the sending banner never completes so it keeps sending the same message over and over again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sending text messages to a list of people I have in an email, and I just noticed that not all (in fact, most) of the messages I sent are not appearing as sent in my Messages application. I'm sending these messages by hovering over the phone numbers in the email and selecting "Send Message" from the popup list. I then type the message I want to send, click "Send," and it returns me to Mail.Â
What's the problem here? I tested it by sending a message in the same way to one of my friends, and she told me she didn't receive it. Is there a way for me to fix this, or do I just have to manually enter every phone number into messages?

one Message/iMessage conversation I have on my iPhone... So here is the deal. I have sent a few iMessages to a person but some of them have been sent as SMS text messages, probably because of bad network. Anyway, all of them have been read (that is what the read receipts account) and yet the line on the top of the screen says 'Sending...' ! But there is nothing to send anymore!
I've already tried quitting the app and turning my phone off/on and since I would like to keep that conversation, I'm not really keen on deleating it.

my iphone 4s is not sending SMS messages - when i go to settings, messages, send as SMS is ON, however the receive at is showing as an email address not my mobile number - the field is grey out so i can not edit this.I have tried a re-set, re-boot and still no joy?

When I send a message to other iPhones it just says "Sending" and nothing goes through.Â
Under Messages>Send&Recieve my phone number is there but not checked off and there is no way to select it. My email IS there and checked, so my messages are only going through to other iPads.Â

Whenever I get a phone call people complain to me that my phone sends 3 or 4 messages to their phone. Is there any way to fix this or does this happen to everybody?

I have an iPhone 4S and am having problems with the text messaging. Whenever I text someone who does not have an iPhone the message will send in two separate messages.. even if the length of the message is under the 160 character limit. The message will send everything except the last word, then send the last word in another separate message. For example, if i sent something like, "hello how was your day today? mine was great thank you for asking".. it would send, "hello how was your day today? mine was great thank you for" in one message then send another message with just the word "asking". I've gone to the Apple Store & they were NO help & said it was a network problem. I then went to the Sprint store & they said it was not a network problem either. I reset the phone numerous times, then eventually Sprint ordered me a new one which is STILL having the same problem.

I set up my iphone 4s yesterday - I'm on T Mobile (uk). When trying to send or reply to text messages they just will not send no matter what I do, even in reply to someone who has sent me a message.

My husband carried both our phones to be serviced.. It worked for a few hours and stopped again. We found other ways to send pictures through apps but not everyone uses these apps. Sending pictures only works through imessages but then again not everyone on my contact list has it. Anyone got any ideas or fixes to the problem?

My phone has been working perfectly fine all week, under the same settings. I'm connected to wifi as I'm traveling internationally. I've been using iMessage perfectly fine until just a few moments ago. Messages are no longer being sent/delivered. I tried a soft reset and a restart of my phone, but that hasn't worked. I turned off iMessage and tried turning it back on, now it just says "waiting for activation".

I have verizon. And just recieved a iphone4s for my birthday. If I send a text message to someone who doesn't have a iphone, I guess, when they recieve the message on thier phone it shows up atleast three times. It's quite annoying for people I text daily. iPhone 6 will not send text messages to some of my contacts. It will say ENABLE iMESSAGE TO SEND THIS MESSAGE... But iMessage IS enabled and I'm trying to text someone who doesn't have an iPhone anyway. SMS MMS is on. I just updated the software in case that was the issue, but still same.

I'm a new iPhone user as of the iP4 launch so this is probably a beaten question but the search I did only came up with very old results and failed to ask the second part of my question: If the answer is still no, what if you are quick enough to go into edit mode and delete the text before it finishes sending? Would that cancel it?

I don't have any service at my house and using the home phone for calls is fine, but I hate when I leave the house and I get 10 messages from the past couple of hours.

If you open up the message tab on your iPhone, go to a quiet room and put your ear right next to the bottom speaker on the phone, you can hear a hissing noise until you close the messaging tab. This is the same for my 4S and my girlfriends 4.
