Apr 23, 2012I have the new iphone 4s. Recently I have been talking to other iphone users but the imessage takes a long time and then results in sending a text message. Usually this is fine but now these people are writing me back and saying that my phone is just sending them weird symbols and numbers instead of my intended message. if I turn off imessage, my texts seem to be fine but I would like to be able to use imessage still.

Aug 5, 2015I am using CHOMP SMS app for my texting. Yesterday I sent a text to Joe, Bob, Jim. Just like that in the TO block. When they sent replys they all got each others reply to read. I didn't want that. That is whey I sent it the way that I did instead of sending it as a GROUP message. Is there a setting in CHOMP or the regular app to make it so everyone does not see each others replys?

Jun 27, 2011I've noticed that some times when I get text messages from certain contacts, the way it shows up on my informs me that it was sent to myself and X amount of people (and I can view those numbers/contacts if I have them). But what's annoying is when I try to reply to "said person" it replies to all contacts that recieve the message. Now if I hold down the message and get options, I can view the details and open the message/delete the message, and I can Reply to All... but it never lets me just reply to that person. There is no option for it. I just reply and they all get it.
Like I stated before, this is not every time I get a mass text message from someone. Some of my friends have iPhone 4s so I tested it last night with a friend sending out a text to two of us and when I received it there was no indication that it had been sent to multiple people. Also have another friend that does this a lot with his Droid 2, no issue with his either. I'm wondering if this is happening because of the way it's being sent to me (and others) but even if I can see who else it was sent to, I'd still like the option to just reply to one person.Any advice on this? I foresee people telling me to get another text messaging app though which makes me think AT&T/Motorola should really add a lot more features to their text messaging app just incase of the people that would like options..

May 20, 2012i have not been receiving all text message for 3 days now. yet my network provider is saying there is nothing wrong with my phone as i could receive their test messages they sent to my phone. I have had a replacement sim card and network reset. I am having the same problem with several people, of who i receive some text messaes from them, but not all.

If I send a text message to someone who doesn't have a iphone, I guess, when they recieve the message on thier phone it shows up atleast three times. It's quite annoying for people I text daily. Jun 11, 20121) When sending text messages the messages go through but some remain in the outbox. They are actually sent, and not waiting for resend. The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.

Ever since last night our texts have been sending as text message rather than iMessage and we cant figure out why. Were guessing it's on his end since I can text other people on iMessage. yesterday his keyboard wouldn't come up so he turned it off and back on and shortly after that our messages would only be sent as text. We've checked to make sure iMessage is on and that our 3G is up and running . Would doing a restart (ie. Holding power and home) do anything?

May 2, 2012So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

Sep 7, 2014I'm sending text messages to a list of people I have in an email, and I just noticed that not all (in fact, most) of the messages I sent are not appearing as sent in my Messages application. I'm sending these messages by hovering over the phone numbers in the email and selecting "Send Message" from the popup list. I then type the message I want to send, click "Send," and it returns me to Mail.Â
What's the problem here? I tested it by sending a message in the same way to one of my friends, and she told me she didn't receive it. Is there a way for me to fix this, or do I just have to manually enter every phone number into messages?

Jun 12, 2010My xperia x10 has started to send text messages that I didn't write to one of my contacts!!!! All the messages are the same "Ppppp" Yesterday they all had a scrolling circle beside them and message details said unable to send sender unknown.I deleted them but they kept coming back at least a dozen of them at at random times. Today they are being sent. By each message there is a envelope with a clock icon. This is happening while the phone is not being used by anyone and is sitting on a table, so its not as if it is being touched by anything in my handbag or pocket.I was using the Handcent App but it was also happening in the installed messaging software. I have uninstalled Handcent and am using the supplied messaging programme. Also getting a lot of force closing messages when I try to send a genuine text.

Nov 10, 2010I successfully updated to the official Vodafone release using SEUS, loving the update so far but I've come across a problem with text messages.
Every couple of text messages they won't send and instead I get the message cannot be sent error. Trying repeated times has the same results then all of a sudden it will randomly work.
It can't be down to bad signal, last time the error came up I had full 'H' signal. I also tried Handcent to see if using an app would make any difference but it didnt. Are there any known bugs that sound like this

If my phone dies, is updated, or I need to turn it off, when I turn it back on it will send some really old texts and a lot of them. Also, Verizon claims it's an HTC problem and HTC said to call Verizon. I've tried everything from system restore to deleting entire threads. It's a bunch of crap that neither company has an answer by now.
