BB Curve :: Failing To Receive Email Attachments
Jan 5, 2012A client of mine has 6 curve 9300s. The issue is when they are sent emails from macs containing PDFs. There appears to be no attachment. The issue is not the size of the PDF (tried very small PDF). Its not the mac itself. (i know the issues of HTML email/plain text/rtf). If it is sent from outlook for PC, it is fine. 2 handsets (same OS version - the latest orange UK version), getting an email sent from the same mac, to email accounts on the same external host at the same domain. 1 works, 1 doesnt. The recipients use the same version of Mac mail and both see it fine on their mac. If i go into messages options, then the one that fails has the sub choice of Email Account Management, this doesnt exist on the one that works. Yet its the same version of software! The one that works now, didnt work yesterday until i upgraded to the latest OS version. That didnt fix it for the other one. I just want emails sent from a mac, regardless of format, to get to the blackberry. Is that so hard?

Mar 13, 2012I've been put in charge of setting up email on co-workers iphones.I just recently upgraded to iphone4 and had no problems getting mine set up (AT&T carrier). However, my co-works have switched carriers to Verizon(from AT&T) and I cannot get them to send emails. I've tried cwmx.com....no luck. I set up SMTP:outgoing.verizon.net and it then gave me message that server did not relay. I even set up an vzwmail account.I need to know what SMTP server to use!

Jun 27, 2012Every once in awhile, i will receive my imessages in my email account. Most of the time it will work properly, but those rare occasions it sends the other party's response to my email account and does not show up in the imessage window at all. like it was not even sent. my apple id is based off a regular email account like yahoo, gmail, or hotmail. how can I make it stop doing this? I want to be able to communicate properly and use my other idevices too. please help... would it just be better to start a whole new apple id with just a specific email acct desginated just for that?

Apr 19, 2012I have 3 email accounts that I synchronise with the email app. I use this app to have all my accounts in the same place, including my gmail account. The issue is that when I send an email, a copy of it is stored in the imap sent email folder of the account. Gmail do not recommend this practice because it saves all sent email by itself, and there for, if the client also saves a copy of the email, there is two copies stored. That's my problem. When using email app, I find in my email account twice the mail sent in the conversation. (How) can I configure the email app not to store the sent messages in the imap server ? I am running ICS official realease from sony (PC Companion) since yesterday.

Aug 22, 2014Using an iPhone 5s, I took a photo and sent it to one of my contacts. I have several email accounts and the default one is my gmail account. When I selected the photo and chose to email it, the sending email account in the new email message was my gmail account. However, as soon as I selected the recipient, the sending email account changed to my outlook.com instead of the gmail one. I didn't realize this at the time so when I sent the photo, it sent using my outlook.com account instead of the gmail. I use the outlook.com account more for work related emails, so I don't want personal email messages to go through that account. I've been able to replicate this sending email account switching for this particular recipient both on my iPhone and on my iPad mini.Â
I've run into a similar situation when using Mac Mail on my MacBook - new emails are sent as from my Outlook.com account instead of the default gmail account. However, I've not been able to identify a particular reason for this. In the Mac Mail Preferences, Composing settings, I have selected to send new mail from my gmail account, not the account of the selected mailbox. This seems to be a recent development on both the MacBook and on my iOS devices. Both iOS devices are running version 7.1.2. The MacBook is on OSX 10.9.4.Â
Why would iOS mail change the sending email account based on the recipient, when sending a picture? It doesn't seem to consistently happen when just starting a new mail message from within the mail app. Why would this happen for just some recipients (so far I've just identified one in particular, who is on a comcast.com email account). Why would MacMail on the MacBook send new mail from the outlook.com account when the default is gmail?
