BB Curve 8300 :: Calendar Notifications Not Working
May 4, 2010
I have many items in my calendar and my notifications/reminders are not working. I used to get a pop-up reminder 15 min. prior, but I am not getting any since yesterday. Not sure what changed!
Im trying to find how to change notifications for my yahoo, texts and other thing but i tried to go to profiles and i dont have an advance option and when i click on the menu button nothing happens its just takes me to the home screen. so im wondering to is there still a way i can change the notifications on my phone. i have a curve 8330 but im not sure what OS i have.
I just installed V6.0 on my PC, and it keeps telling me that my calendar isn't installed. in earlier versions i sync with my outlook calendar (device) but now its impossible.
Have a 8310 & can't work out how to change tones for SMS and calendar alerts? SMSs happen with no tone, so if I don't look at the phone I don't know if I have them & calendar alerts sometimes have a wierd tone, sometimes just vibrate, for some reason...
It worked great for a few weeks then when something updated automatically and no more sync .I get a "operation terminated unexpectedly" pop-up. I've read through the forums and tried putting an end time on my recurring dates, and followed the instructions on the iloptcfg.cfg file and still no go.Address, memo and tasks works fine, but the calendar won't. I even uninstalled the BB Desktop manager (v5.0) and reinstalled v4.7 and no go.
For no apparent reason, whenever I attempt to synchronize, the calendar does not synch with my Lotus Notes (the address book does) and Desktop Manager shuts itself down. I am now getting a dialogue box stating "the default service for your device's calendar has changed since the last time you synchronized." I don't recall changing anything. I have attempted to change the default service from Yahoo (my email comes from this account as work doesn't authorize the Lotus Notes email on the phone) to Lotus Notes and it's not even an option.
I am new to Blackberry desktop manager for mac. It is all set up and first sync is done without a problem. Now when I try to sync, I get a message that over 600 of my past calendar items will be deleted if I continue with sync. I need to keep previous calendar items, is there a way to solve this problem and not delete past events? I am sorry for asking this question, I am just new and very unsure of what I am doing. I had used missing sync before, but when my blackberry had to be replaced, new blackberry wouldn't work so I wanted to try desktop manager.
The speakers on my Blackberry 8330 appear not to be working. Even if I have the volume type set as loud it will just use vibrate when calls come in. I took out the battery and put it back in and it's still not working. If I try to play a song or ring tone, it will show it playing but I'll hear nothing, however I can still hear people talk during calls. I don't think this is caused by damage, my phone is about 8 months old and I've dropped it a few times (the worst probably from table height) but I wouldn't consider those serious falls.I need to know if this is something i can fix myself or if I have to mail in my phone to get it repaired.
I've got a BBCurve8310 and use the MSN a lot from it.Since yesterday, i've been missing a lot of messages, i mean, if i send one, people receive, but i don't.Sometimes I receive one or two messages, but the person has sent me more then this.I've already reinstalled the MSN but it still like that.
I recently went on vacation and had my phone turned off for a week. When I returned, I found that the email on my BB is no longer synched with the computer. If I check a message on the BB and mark it as read, then it is okay on the computer. But, if I open a message on the computer, it is still listed as unread on the BB. How can I fix this?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 I just got. I need to sync my Outlook Calendar information on my work computer. At work we are NO LONGER using Exchange Server. It gave up the ghost a couple of years ago for some unknown reason and there were not fixes available according to IT.Anyway, I connect the device but do not find applications that will work. No ali or alx files to be found. The whole reason I went to this phone was because it was supposed to work with Outlook from what I understood, and get email.
I'm using BB Curve 8320. My keyboard keys and trackball do not light up. Not at night, not ever. When I go to screen/keyboard options the only type of light I can edit or adjust is the screen backlight. I've read about how to cover the sensor near the led but I don't even see the sensor. And what would that matter since its already dark and its not working?
To note, I just got this BB from my mom a few days ago and the keyboard light hasn't worked since I've had it and I haven't asked her about it. Although, there was one time randomly during the day the keys lit up and the trackball, so I know the light works...Is there an option menu I can go to? Its frustrating typing this out at night and same with texts.
I recently upgraded the software on my BB and I have 3 e-mail accounts that I have been using with it. For some reason it randomly selected one as the default to use when sending out messages, etc. from any application. I have changed it to the e-mail I want (Options>Advanced Options>Default Services>) however this doesn't fix my problem. I even deleted the e-mail address from my blackberry and in my calendar it still shows a default that is not what I put in the options. The wrong e-mail is still set somewhere because when I go to use Viigo it tries to send it from the e-mail address I deleted!
Trying to upload pictures to Facebook taken on my Curve and they just will not upload. After 10 minutes of trying it finally turns into the little red X and won't do it.
I have a new 8350i and downloaded the new 5.0.0.807 (?) version software. For some reason, after doing this, the ability of my Plantronics Voyager 815 headset to perform remote controls (answer, hang up, volume, etc) has quit working. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
E-mail reconciliation is not working for me with my Gmail account. When I read an e-mail on my BB, it isn't being marked as read in my Gmail. It also isn't working the other way: when I read an e-mail on my computer, my BB doesn't mark it as read.
How can I fix this? E-mail reconciliation in my options is already turned on.
I have a Curve 8330 on the Sprint network. About a day and a half ago I stopped receiving my emails on my phone. I can't send email either. SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?
Carrier: Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330 Recently I upgraded my Desktop Manager to Version 6.0.0.40 and now I can't transfer media files to my Curve 8330.One thing I tried was to update my device OS to 4.5.0.175, this did not work. The DM shows that Media Options are not available, that I have to trun on mass storage mode from the device.Under the options menu on my 8330, I open Media Card and sure enough Media Card Support is On, Mass Storage Support is On, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode is On (I've tried when I switch to Prompt, but that did not work either).I've removed the media card, reinserted it, reformatted it, made sure it was recognized by my device (it is), so obviously the problem is with the Desktop Manager. With previous versions, I had no problems with Media Sync, only with the new DM version. The DM will recognize my device when plugged in via USB and I can sync my Organizer with no issues. What else can I try to get my DM - Media Sync to work with my 8330?
I bought 4 BB 8320 in New York during a business trip,I gave the phone to my employees and I kept 1 for me when I was back in Italy. After 2 months of perfectly working period with internet and all my mails 1 of the phones (mine) it s not working anymore, after contacted my provider VODAFONE ITALY and tried all the possible solutions(several reset, updates) it still not working as the provider said the pin seems to be busy in another country.
I recently purchased a blackberry 8320 from a friend it was giving some problems like: Cant setup own email account, bis moves slow, msn gives and error. So i decided to do a handheld wipe then after the wipe finished i did a battery pull and then i stop reciving service books like the phone was locked down or something. I called my service provider (Digicel Jamaica) then told me to re-register the HRT which i did before many times and a number of battery pulls and nothing happen so i deiced to post this in the forums and see if i could get any help with these issues
Recently i've been having problems with the email that i've set up on my phone. I can send email but cannot receive it.I have a blackberry 8330 curve and am with verizon with V4.5.0.I've been reading other posts on othere forums of people having the same issue but they didn't really help at all.I did the battery pull many many times.I just don't know what wrong with it. also my world app doesn't show any application installed. i can deal with that once i get my email to work..
I have a Curve 8520 fully upgraded at, v5.0.0.681, Installed a yahoo mail account, gmail, work mail and facebook app. Mails are working fine, bb messenger and internet too, the only thing that is not working is the calendar. I have wiped the BB several times and installed the mail accounts trying to make them work but nothing!
I am trying to sync my calendar with my outlook, but in desktop software under organizer it says calendar "not installed".My model is curve 8520 and ver is 4.6.1.314
I just bought two 9810s and I don't see any way that I can sync my calendar from my company's exchange server. I didn't even bother to see if it was supported before buying the phone, because my 3 year old iphone 3g supported it and my samsung android phone supported it as well. I figured it was a given on modern smartphones. It is vital to both me and my wife.
