I have a new 8350i and downloaded the new 5.0.0.807 (?) version software. For some reason, after doing this, the ability of my Plantronics Voyager 815 headset to perform remote controls (answer, hang up, volume, etc) has quit working. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
View 3 RepliesCurve 8900 (TIM) OS: 5.0.0.461.Yesterday I connected my device to the computer and upgraded the software to version 5.0.0.461 via Blackberry desktop manager. I can't remember witch OS version the device had before.
After the update, i'm having two problems:
1.- When connected to my Dell BH200 bluetooth headset it no longer recognizes the A/V Remote control functions. With the previous software version, when the headset connected, it recognized: Handsfree, Stereo audio and A/V Remote control (witch allowed me to change songs and pause/resume play using the headset buttons). With the new version, it only recognizes the first two (even though in the device properties screen appear as services: Handsfree, Headset, A/V Remote control and Audio sink) . I use my device to listen to music, so having to take it out everytime i want to change a song instead of just using the headset buttons bugs me. Trying to solve this problem, i have deleted the headset from my bluetooth device list, and then paired it again (several times). I have also reseted the headset, and the device but nothing works. Any ideas on how i can get the device to recognize A/V Remote control functions again?
2.- After the upgrade, the block screen button on top of the device no longer works. Also, putting the device into the holster no longer blocks the device. Is this function disabled in new version?

Earlier SE phones always had a remote control functionality via Bluetooth HID which I really miss on my Aino.
Do you know any alternatives? Isn't there an app for this?
I bought my E6 a week ago and I just now tried to connect it to my pc via bluetooth. Amongst the normal services my pc found was some service " remote control". Can somebody please tell me if that can really function and how? And by the way i read all of the discussion about the batterylife, mine was holdin 3-4 days but i found out that it was because of Whatsapp. So the app forced the phone to connect to wifi all the time, even if the App is completely shut down. And we all know there isn't a wifi-shutdown function, so the phone stayed all night connected to wifi. I deleted Whatsapp just for experiment and since wednsday morning untill now I still have 50% battery, with some internet surfing music and so on.

I've tried out the headphones out on different iPhones and they work so it's not the headphone itself. I've had this problem for around 6+ months now I attempted the trick where you get a paper clip and get all the fluff out of the jack however it came to no avail. What is left for me to do? Is it a problem with my audio jack flex cable?

my remote control has stopped working. it was working well at the beginning but after some days of non-using it, it does not want to work anymore.i tried to take out the battery but didn't work, i double checked whether the Bluetooth was on but it didn't make a difference.

It keeps saying I have no administrative permission to view the files. Even when copied to my desktop, I can't use them to restore.The issue that started this all is that I switched computers. And every time I sync, the desktop program wants to add or delete about 1200 past calendar items. I have been reticent to allow the sync to continue because I did not want to lose data, but today I said, "what the hell" and let it continue. It deleted everything from BOTH the handheld and computer prior to May, when I started using the new computer. So when I try to reinstall the older backup file to retrieve the lost data, now the program won't let me access the files I saved so religiously.

I own a pair of Audio-Technica MTH-50 headphones that sound great with the iPhone. The one problem is that the input is large, and needs to fit flush against the phone. I like to have my phone in a case, so I can't really use the headphones unless I'm willing to leave my phone unprotected.
I've received about getting around this is a simple headphone adapter, which would plug in to the top of the phone, then allow me to plug my phones in above the case.
This seems impractical, as I don't think the trade-off is worth it. I wouldn't, however, mind it if I could add an extra feature. So is there a headphone adaptor/extender out there includes a remote for basic volume / play / track functions?

I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to sync with Outlook 2007 using Desktop Mgr 5.0 (on XP SP3) to my 8310 Curve running 4.5.0.81 OS. I can pair devices and have the bluetooth option in Desktop Mgr un-greyed (so I'm running the correct Microsoft BT stack on XP) but I can't get Desktop Mgr to connect or do the synch. From reading other forum entries it woud seem this is because Bluetooth Services display on my BB does not list 'Desktop Connectivity' or 'Wireless Bypass' services (so I fail the device pre-req described in this KB article http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/viewContent.do?externalId=KB04132) How do I get these services installed on my BB ??? I suspect this is something to do with the fact that I was on BES, but am now disconnected and on BIS only. I did a phone Wipe when I switched from BES to BIS, and this has removed all obvious signs of the IT Policy imposed when I was on BES .... e.g. there is now no mention of Policy on the Security/General Settings screen, and I've had no problems doing other stuff (like installing new apps) that I was prohibited from doing when I was on BES. Any ideas as to how I get those missing services installed on my BB ?? Some way of forcing an install?
