Is there such a thing available for current Asha and Lumia models? Just like the Apple - In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic for iPod and iPhone. I know, I know, the Nokias are wired differently so the Iphone Headset will not work(?). But I still need the fast forward and rewind buttons to conveniently listen to audio books.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurve 8900 (TIM) OS: 5.0.0.461.Yesterday I connected my device to the computer and upgraded the software to version 5.0.0.461 via Blackberry desktop manager. I can't remember witch OS version the device had before.
After the update, i'm having two problems:
1.- When connected to my Dell BH200 bluetooth headset it no longer recognizes the A/V Remote control functions. With the previous software version, when the headset connected, it recognized: Handsfree, Stereo audio and A/V Remote control (witch allowed me to change songs and pause/resume play using the headset buttons). With the new version, it only recognizes the first two (even though in the device properties screen appear as services: Handsfree, Headset, A/V Remote control and Audio sink) . I use my device to listen to music, so having to take it out everytime i want to change a song instead of just using the headset buttons bugs me. Trying to solve this problem, i have deleted the headset from my bluetooth device list, and then paired it again (several times). I have also reseted the headset, and the device but nothing works. Any ideas on how i can get the device to recognize A/V Remote control functions again?
2.- After the upgrade, the block screen button on top of the device no longer works. Also, putting the device into the holster no longer blocks the device. Is this function disabled in new version?

I still have some from my lumia 1020 and it seems hat the controls have changed a bit. To skip a song I now have to press three times?
Was there any change in compatibility? Will other headphones now work, too? The selection has always been very limited.
Would it be possible to use a bluetooth-remotecontrol to take pics/start videorecording on the 1020? It does support new BT-protocols, so maybe someone with a BT-headset could give it a try?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought my E6 a week ago and I just now tried to connect it to my pc via bluetooth. Amongst the normal services my pc found was some service " remote control". Can somebody please tell me if that can really function and how? And by the way i read all of the discussion about the batterylife, mine was holdin 3-4 days but i found out that it was because of Whatsapp. So the app forced the phone to connect to wifi all the time, even if the App is completely shut down. And we all know there isn't a wifi-shutdown function, so the phone stayed all night connected to wifi. I deleted Whatsapp just for experiment and since wednsday morning untill now I still have 50% battery, with some internet surfing music and so on.

I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.

Unfortunately the remote managed to work its way off the steering wheel and completely disappear within three days.I've asked about 20 different suppliers whether they stock replacement remotes and they all say no. I asked Nokia UK Support and they tell me to contact suppliers as they no longer have an online shop.Can someone please put me in the direction of a replacement part? Surely a company of Nokia's stature must have a parts supply chain somewhere?!?

These are differentiating products, things that would make our choice in smartphones stand out and they are nowhere to be found.
They were supposed to be release in Q4 2012 - obviously that is going to miss.....and besides wanting them badly for myself.....they would be a HUGE selling feature for the ONLY phone that should be bringing their NFC capability to the forefront.

i have just gotten a BH-221 headset which is supposed to support PBAP and have a Nokia N9 which is as well supposed to support PBAP, but when i pair them, which works wonderfully with NFC, and someone who i have saved in my phones contacts list, calls me on the BH-221 display i just see his number and not the name associated to it. Can anyone advise what to do in regards to it? I have tried it on a lumia 800 as well and there it is showing some names and not showing others, what is the deal there?

But now, I plugged it in the charger and the red light doesn't turn on anymore. I tried a different nokia charger but still, it doesn't work. The chargers that I tried worked on my phone though.Whenever the headset is charged, it's settings on its connectivity resets, so everytime i charge it, i need to reconnect the bluetooth of my phone.
